First time we stayed it was great and clean, this last visit the cabin needed a way better cleaning. Febreeze isn't pinesaw or pledge.

Staff were very nice and grass tent area was also nice. The low rating is mostly because of the noise from traffic.

All staff were incredibly helpful and informative every time we interacted with them. There was a hail storm and they kept the facilities open much longer than they had to and we were very appreciative of that. The coffee and donuts in the morning were great as well. Really wanted to get in the hot tub but it was a quick stop

Your staff was great. There was a big storm that passed over and offered shelter in the store in the event a tornado did come to the park. Thankfully it didn’t but they helped bring us some much needed comfort.

The office staff was very kind to work with us as we were a very late arrival. They even phoned to update our tent site as someone had camped on our site. We appreciated the extra 10 minutes of swimming in the pool. Thank you!

Stayed from May 28th, 2025 through June 1, 2025. We tow a 40' travel trailer, as we entered the park i immediately noticed how clean the grounds were, no litter of any kind. The check-in clerk was very friendly and the park was very pleasant and peaceful. Laundry room is excellent and the indoor swimming pool is awesome. Kids playground and dog park is very well kept. Will stay there again.

It was the first KOA where after registering, we were not escorted to our spot. The gravel on the (rocky) road was very lose all over. It was not smooth like all others that I have stayed in. We had a hard time walking from the pool to our RV, walking our dog was tough to do as well. Long term stay travel trailer sites were dirty, poorly unattended. The staff was nice though.

Enjoyable stay passing through for a few days. Indoor pool was nice, with ping pong table and sitting area to play checkers. Staff were super friendly and nice, full hook ups with pull through spots a plenty, definitely recommend if you are in Lubbock!

First time trying KOA. We stayed in a Deluxe cabin and enjoyed it very much. I can say that we liked staying at KOA much better than a hotel. Why? Freedom and relaxation. We enjoyed parking right next to our cabin and in the evenings sitting on the porch, relaxing, talking, and having a beer or cocktail. Hotels have their place, but if given a choice, we'll now look into a KOA cabin first.

For a one night stay it’s ok. I would not plan on any longer than that. The road noise Nothing really worth doing around the grounds The club house was old dark and dated. It was a one night stay so it checked the box for me

Our site 12 near the highway was noisy and not the cleanest. There appeared to be toilet paper debris around the sewer drain. In the men’s bathroom, two of three showers were inoperative. The one that did work had a faulty door. Basic services were functional. I might stay here again but am also looking at other options.

Check in was quick and efficient. Park is located a few miles from any shopping or services in mostly farm land. Can get very dusty. Didn’t use pool or other facilities. Dog park is nice. Gravel sites fairly level. Grass area on most sites. Would stay again.

First time at KOA Journey.... TBH.... Low expectations, especially in Lubbock. Staff were great, sites were clean, everything worked as expected, well lit, and quiet.... I'm use to more space/State Parks but it was comfortable for a week to visit/attend a graduation.

The overall campground needs to be updated. Lots of broken railroad ties around each site. The picnic tables and all in need of replacement most have broken pieces. Don’t even get me started on the bathrooms. Wow never seen such a dirty broken down bathroom at a KOA. The toilets didn’t work most days and the toilet paper was limited most of the time with most stalls being empty.

I have to tell ya folks, we've stayed here before and we'll stay here time and time again, as we always get a warm welcome, service excellence and kindness to boot! The only thing that needs a tiny bit of attention is the bench in the dog park, but these star service professionals and their quality of service outshine a little needed touch up! :) Thanks for all you do to continuously make our visits accomodating and enjoyable! 😃
