We are 2.2 miles from the gorgeous trout stalked Bennett Spring state park where you can fish and hike all day. About 5 miles away is the Niangua River for doing rafting trips. 8 miles to Lebanon and Rte 66. 15 miles to Amish country stores and restaurant. About 30 miles north is historic Ha Ha Tonka state park to name a few.
This park is a major fishing spot for trout fisherman. It flows a nice blue/green cool water of 100 million gallons a day up out of the ground forming an instant river. It is stalked daily with over 500 trout. If you catch a trout you can bring it home or to the state park restaurant and they will cook it for you as part of your meal..
This park has a bait shop, a visitor center, play ground, fish hatchery, lodging, campground, restaurant and many miles of hiking trails. Usually the ice cream booth is open if that sounds good to you. Or just come and feed the fish at the hatchery and enjoy the natural beauty of this spectacular park.
