We spent three nights at the Blue Cabin at the La Junta KOA Journey ,everything was clean and nice,great people. We did have a shower problem which was corrected very quickly. Thanks

While staying in the caboose was a unique and somewhat fun experience, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Reasons: 1. Every time the compressor in the AC came on or went off there was a very loud CLUNK noise. We could not sleep with the AC on at night 2. Only cold water came out of the faucet at the sink, no hot water to wash hands or dishes. 3. There was a bug infestation.

My wife and I stayed in the Fleetwood cabin, the living room area got hot during the afternoon, but cooled off at night. Cabin wasn't spotless but it is a campground and it was as clean as expected. All of the staff members are great. We'll definitely be staying again.

We rented two cabins and three tent site for a family reunion. Everything was very clean. Loved the fencing around the tent sites and the platform for the tents. Very easy to stake the tents. Lots of room on the site. Appreciated the water and electricity on site. Great pool and playground. Very nice people working there.

Wrong code for tiny house access, burned our fingertips on the lock and door handle - in direct sun (100+ degrees). Broken oscillator for floor fan. No smoke detector: there was wiring to hook one up, but it was empty. Pool closed when it got dark, should at least stay open until midnight for the adults. Overall, it was an okay place to stay for one night.

A trip with my grandson to visit Bents Fort nearby and this was a perfect place to stay - in one of the little cabins. My grandson loved the pool and mini golf. Kylie, the camp manager’s daughter was capable, fun and friendly. The team met all our requests and needs. Felt like a nice mini-community.

Brad was amazing! The green cabin was clean, well appointed and comfortable! Thank you for making our stay amazing! Small touches like bottles of water waiting for us, an easy after hours check in process, and being available to answer questions and help, even at off hours are the icing on the cake of a well maintained property. We appreciate the great service and will definitely be returning!

Our space was a very nice spot with shade and a good pull through. Would love to come back and stay in the passenger train car that is currently under construction. Staff was very helpful.

We stayed in the caboose and it was covered in spider webs and spiders especially right by the door. I would wipe them away everyday and they would be back by night. The patio also had lots of spiders. I liked the pool, but burned myself coming down the slide after the sun had heated it up all day. Front desk when asked for restaurant recommendations had none.

We have stayed here several times & recommended this KOA to several friends but this stay was not as great. The bugs (mostly mosquitoes) were worse than normal & our cabin could not stay cool making for a pretty uncomfortable stay unfortunately. The yellow cabin is advertised as having AC, but it actually a swamp cooler & despite following all instructions from staff, could not cool our cabin.

Great location. Easy access. Have stayed here several times with our motor home. This time we stayed in a little cabin. "B" Mattress needs replaced. Otherwise was perfect for what we needed for the night.

We stayed in the Caboose, it was nice and well kept. The only thing was we werent informed that the water was shut off during the day we were leaving because they were working on the new train site.

We stayed in the caboose and it was beautiful! The perfect place for our family to stay the night - we only wished we could stay longer! The kids loved sleeping in a train, and the playground, pool, and minigolf were great! The staff was friendly, and helpful, and the establishment was very clean.

My family had never stayed at a KOA before and we found it to be a good experience. The campground was clean and our kids enjoyed the playground. Brad was very helpful checking in and helping us when we needed it. The campground was very quiet despite the highway being so near. The cabin was also surprisingly comfy. It was a great stay. We will be back!

Stayed in the cool Caboose. It's ideal for two. No sitting area or proper table and chairs indoors. Our weather was perfect so that wasn't a problem. Patio out back was private and the fire pit was perfect.

We stayed in the Cool Caboose for a night! We were greeted with a warm welcome upon our arrival. An ice cold bottle of water for each of us was a nice touch. The caboose is very cozy and has everything you need for an overnight stay. We made great use of the back patio for dinner and breakfast. Caboose was fun!. BBQ area and amenities were nice. Downsides 2 coffee pods were provided instructed additional could be purchased, tried to exchange the tea and Cocoa pods for coffee but was also not possible. IMO it only truly sleeps 2 -3 adults comfortably. Top bunk more suited for a child, or perhaps a side sleeper in fetal position. Knowing this I would rent again but no more than 3 adults.

They were great!!! If anything came up, they were very attentive. The cabin was clean, and comfortable. We used both the air and heater and everything worked as it should. The grounds were clean and quiet. I would def stay here again!!!!

We booked the Caboose which was fun but … it was pretty warm the first full day we were there and the air conditioning was too loud to use while sleeping. I would stay again in chilly weather.

We normally would not choose to stay at a KOA park because of the RVs and lights and potential noise of generators, however, the KOA Journey in La Junta was in the right place at the right time on our travels and the unique feature of the train cars was cool! The curtains in our cabin were good and it was a quiet place! We booked a stay in the Caboose Cabin for June! Talking to Brad was a delight.

We stopped at KOA Journey on our motorcycle ride around Colorado. Brad was friendly and helpful at the check-in. He delivered some firewood while we were at dinner. We stayed in the Cool Caboose, which was, in fact, very cool! I'll stay here again.

nicest people i deal with them for my propane needs they are professional and compassionate i had limited money to fill my tank they went ahead filled the tank to the amount of money i had which worked out great
