Place is ok. Didn’t feel particularly welcome during check in at first but someone else took over and saved the day.

The employees were rude and treated me poorly for having an EV car also stating that my car couldn’t be plugged in even if I put an amp limit on it. The pooI was broken and the camp was very noisy. I would never return to this campground

Fine for one night. Convenient. Our site had a muddy tire rut all along the RV entrance side. Since we stayed one night and it was just two of us, we didn’t care too much. We have a big rig and parking our truck was tight, other vehicles were parked limiting access.

It was a little tricky to find the access road immediately after the freeway exit. More signage would be helpful.

The tablecloth on our picnic table was stolen soon after check in around 6:00-7:00pm. The theft was observed by one of the neighbors who provided a description. Management was informed and very apologetic. I was advised there are many transient workers staying at this location for 1-2 years but we felt very unsafe after that.

I came in very late, 2:00 AM. Paperwork was ready. I parked my trailer and slept in. I called the office when I woke, asked what time check-out is. They said 10:09 AM, well I will be late checking out since it is now 10:33 AM. They said no problem. I change a flat tire on my trailer, showered in the public shower, then checked out. There was no problems or late fees, showers were clean.

This place needs some upgrades, the camp sites aren't very level (large holes), making it extremely difficult for us to walk from one site to the other. I had lots 121 and 122.

This is a well kept KOA but we didn't consider the sites (or at least the one we were in) quite up to a 4. Maybe a 3.5. No fancy whistles or bells, but a nice quiet overnight stop with easy access off I44. We were in a shady spot and did not hear or see the interstate traffic. The site was level and we appreciated the peaceful area we were in. We did not use the park facilities.

Well it didn’t have a 0 for Joplin KOA so I had to give it a 1. People was nice but the campground was nasty the cabin was run down terrible and the bathrooms was disgusting. So that would be a no!!!

No monitoring of campers! The couple right next to us stayed up until 4 am fighting, cursing and had their belongings scattered all over their area. They appeared to be “under the influence of something”. The man finally went to sleep on the ground between our sites. It was miserable.

It should be a 5 star, but it is not well maintained. Eg. 1) I saw a guy spend 30 mins weedeating the dog park… the grass is still 6-12 inches high around the fence…sloppy work. 2) the guy driving the mower went so fast that he bounced over large patches of tall grass. We did not feel comfortable walking out dogs in the grass or use the dog park.

The grounds need to be mowed. Would have preferred to not be parked with permanent residence. It was very very quiet.

Campsite was very nice, but several items of trash left at site. Checkin was less then welcoming. Just doing his job…. No pleasant greeting or thank you .

One night stop. Easy check in and out. Pool was closed. There's an electrical issue at site Deluxe Patio site 659. When we were disconnecting the TV cable, our cable was brunt / melted. The Patio site was very nice. Lots of room. However, it was a hot day in July. So, we couldn't use the patio as it was 100 percent exposed to the sun with no umbrella or tree shade.

The guy checking us in was kind of a "grumpy old man". I felt like I had interrupted him. He asked my last name 3 times. We were taken to a spot with low hanging branches that scraped the top of our RV. They had no one to trim the branches so they moved us to another spot. Disappointed they didn't have a working pool. Went out for dinner, and came back to a hot RV, as we blew our 50amp circut.

Site was large and peaceful even though the highway was close. Only disappointments were that the pool was closed until some time in the future, and the picnic table was covered in bird droppings. Personnel were very nice.

My daughter and I felt very unsafe at this KOA. The staff was very unfriendly. There were a lot of people living in the campground making it feel like a trailer park rather than a place to stay as I was passing through. I will never stay here again. KOA Journeys are not held to the same standards as KOA Holidays.

Quite place to stay, got in after business hours and was still met by someone to get us a spot to stay. Very nice staff that was polite and helpful.

The Joplin Journey KOA is a great campground on I44 in Joplin, Mo. easy access off and on ramps. The Owners / Managers are very nice and accommodating. There are restroom/ showers available , a full laundry , playground and dog park. You can also refill propane. In addition there are Large RV Pull-thru sites that can accommodate large RV's. Various tent sites with level ground and access. Easy check-in service for late arrivals. There are Truck plazas, fast food, grocery supplies all nearby. There is a small store on site with many convenience supplies. I full time and travel in a 40 ft Motorhome towing. ** there are dirt and gravel roads the owners grates so roads are not primarily paved but still in good condition and maintained. This is a campground that can easily accommodate large rvs with pull thrus and large groups. This is not a Rv resort but instead has nature and very clean and quiet. There is some noise level at various hours of the day due to the close proximity of the Interstate and nearby businesses. I have stayed at this park numerous times and will continue to stay because of the kindness of the local owners. The park is a family oriented park that is quiet and doesn't have loud parties and feels safe.

This place is very clean and pleasant Dave and Tina are helpful just ask... You can feed the turtles and geese ... Which is cool ...I'm staying in a long-term spot and it's nice . I hope they get the pool going !!
