Deluxe Cabin was nice but the outside deck needed to be replaced: Large gaps, sunken center, screws and nails popping out. Friends stayed at camper sites and those needed some help also: patios at sites were ankle breakers needed to add gravel and dirt to flatten those out and the swings at both sites had multiple nails popping out that we had to hammer in so we could sit. Small maintenance needed

Very disappointed, grass not cut, could hardly find the sewer connection because of grass, dog park fence had grass/ weeds over 18inches high, older campers with grass all the way up to the frame.

We actually checked in a day early, they were very accommodating. We had a good stay with no issues. Easy access off I 44.

Basically just a place to park for the night and hook up. The staff were nice, property looks to be run down. Not much to do. No pool and you had to have a code to get into the 1 restroom next to the office so you’d better remember when you get to the door. I also was surprised when they did not offer to pick up trash. I was told where the dumpster was on the way out. Would not stay here again.

The Koa was convenient for us as we drove down Route 66. The grounds were extremely run down for a KOA. The showers and bathroom were very outdated, but clean. The playground was fun for the kids. They need to put some TLC in this campground and it could be so much better!

The cabins are very nicely located around a small pond. There are fish, turtles, frogs, and a huge duck. Very fun to watch. Also, the hosts are very attentive and helpful.

Not what was advertised at all! The pool has been closed for years! It is not down for maintenance it is permanently closed!! They are not trying to fix it! The spots are all gravel and dead grass. We were put in the back of the camp ground in pop up campers far from the bathroom. The ground are not kept at all! To get the promised fire pit you had to buy a bundle of wood from them! Not provided!

The owner was pleasant. However, when signing in it seemed rather negative (our pool is broken, there is no tv etc.) The campground needs serious updating.

We have stayed there about 4 times for overnight stays on our way to and from vacations. Very nice, clean and staff excellent.

Night check in person rude and condescending. Let his dog run loose and running up to my dogs. Cabin was dirty especially toilet. Ants. Grounds unkept high weeds didn’t want walk dogs afraid of snakes.

A lot at the park was in disrepair. Pool was out of service, several cabins had porches disconnected and separated, the grass hadn’t been mowed in what looked like a month or more because the grass and weeds were in a lot of places over a foot tall. The sites were fairly level, they were long enough and wide enough to accommodate our needs for the overnight stay.

This Koa is way below standard... pool closed for over a year... shade was minimial... was a over glorified parking lot...

We enjoyed Joplin Koa because the employees were friendly and it was a convenient location for our travels. I would stay again.

The lady that was managing the front store was very kind and helpful, there wasn't anything fun for the kids to do. The pool has been broken for several years now according to other guests. On the positive side it was a clean campground. For the price you pay I wouldn't go back. Overall, disappointed with this KOA compared to others that I have been to

Aug. 2022. Only plus is its proximity to the interstate and diesel fuel. The staff was nice. Area is quiet. The grounds are the huge negative. Unkept campsites with weeds and long grass. Although we didn't need any other amenities, KOA charged as much as a private campground we stayed at in Illinois that had beautiful grounds, dog areas, basketball courts, walking paths, etc.

Worst camp ground I have ever stayed at, owners are lazy and rude, and cheated me out of money when the computer said I owed 7 dollars when I left but they charged me $150. Wouldn't recommend this campground to anyone. Keep track of everything you have used including electric or they will shaft you.

Grounds were well kept and bathrooms clean. The only issues we had was with the WIFI, but all in all it was a great place to stay.

Though we only stayed one night this time, it was great. Friendly, helpful staff. Good option of sites for various types of rigs. Clean restrooms. Laundry. Fishing pond. Pizza delivery. Couldn’t ask for more!

The Joplin Journey KOA is a great campground on I44 in Joplin, Mo. easy access off and on ramps. The Owners / Managers are very nice and accommodating. There are restroom/ showers available , a full laundry , playground and dog park. You can also refill propane. In addition there are Large RV Pull-thru sites that can accommodate large RV's. Various tent sites with level ground and access. Easy check-in service for late arrivals. There are Truck plazas, fast food, grocery supplies all nearby. There is a small store on site with many convenience supplies. I full time and travel in a 40 ft Motorhome towing. ** there are dirt and gravel roads the owners grates so roads are not primarily paved but still in good condition and maintained. This is a campground that can easily accommodate large rvs with pull thrus and large groups. This is not a Rv resort but instead has nature and very clean and quiet. There is some noise level at various hours of the day due to the close proximity of the Interstate and nearby businesses. I have stayed at this park numerous times and will continue to stay because of the kindness of the local owners. The park is a family oriented park that is quiet and doesn't have loud parties and feels safe.

This place is very clean and pleasant Dave and Tina are helpful just ask... You can feed the turtles and geese ... Which is cool ...I'm staying in a long-term spot and it's nice . I hope they get the pool going !!
