I chose Hot Springs location because I didn’t want to pull the trailer through the Black Hills. Happy I did, the it was a much better just driving the truck to visit the Black Hills sites, The drive was short and beautiful. The KOA was clean and the staff was Great!

Internet wasn't working, they didn't care. Unattended yapping dog right next to me, they didn't care. I will never stay here again! Sometimes it's better to let the adults handle situations not the kids working at the counter!!

The people running the office were so friendly and polite. We can't say enough about how wonderful they were. Having food available there and not having to leave the camp site to eat was a definite bonus. The bathrooms were clean and pleasant. We hope to stay there again when traveling to South Dakota.

Park was clean & well maintained. Friendly staff. Level sites. Store was nicely stocked and food options were great for dinner & breakfast. Conveniently located near many attractions.

The campground is nice and clean, there is a nice store on site well stocked with a variety of items. There was a small mix up over full hook up vs water & electric and they were very good about getting us moved into a FHU site even closer to the other party we were traveling with. We ordered a pizza that they delivered in a very timely manner, which was delicious! Great experience.

We ran into some issue with our AC in our camper & ended up getting a hotel for the weekend (80-100 degree weekend). Will always recommend this KOA but they do not do any sort of refund even in our case. Such a bummer.

Braden (son of Scott and Carol) made for a fun visit. Possibly make the site numbering more clear. I will likely return next year in preparation for the 4th Fireworks at Rushmore.

The spot was not level. For my little van RV, this was a problem. It was ALMOST level, but it was still a disappointment

The staff was very friendly and personable. Different activities available and the park was a nice place to walk your pets. Plenty of shade and no problem getting out on Starlink. Will keep this place in mind when visiting SD. Location was right next to a gas station with easy access for an RV and near all the sights.

We had a great time and the hosts were more than welcoming! Pool was a bit chilly but other than that the kids had an absolute blast. Nice sites and very quite.

This KOA is one of the best that we have ever stayed at. The bathrooms and showers were extremely clean and it working order with proper supplies at all times. The grounds themselves were also clean and well maintained. The pool was great for the kids and the covered area next to it was very nice. The staff was exceptionally friendly.

It was a lovely campground. Very convenient for Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, Iron Mountain Road. Friendly staff, nice pool, and the sites sit lower and in the back of the amenities which amazingly stops the road noise from the highway. We had no road noise our site. Enjoyed the pool to cool off in the afternoon.

We were traveling with our grandson and daughter-in-law. They made almost daily use of the pool. Great facilities. Looks like improvements are coming, too.

Very wooded, nice atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Showers and bathrooms are in good shape. Offers breakfast from 7:00am to 10:00 am.

This is our favorite place to stay in the Black Hills. It’s rustic with all the amenities - NOT a concrete jungle. The travelers who stay here are happy and friendly

5 Stars! The staff was friendly and very welcoming! The park is spotless, with lots of amenities for kids and adults. Easy in and out for our rig. (We drive a 40 ft motorhome, towing). The park location is convenient to see the local attractions. I highly recommend.

Our fourth stay at this KOA, seems like new owners each time? Friendly staff but when I wrote to cancel a future stay I got no reply so had to do that in the office. The site was not level and when it rained it got very muddy. Could use more gravel. The garbage receptables not convenienly located. Nice and quiet and we would stay again.

I made my separate 2 night reservations online months ago. I added a note with the second reservation that I wanted to be close to the bathroom & in the same location both nights. I called days before check-in to be sure that I wasn't moved. Cindi made sure I was. When I checked in, Cindi verified I was in the same location. The second night someone was scheduled in my place. liked almost everything playground was very good for my kids. there was crafts and bingo and birds of pray where brought in too. the only thing is bathrooms where not Wheelchair eatable. We will stay they next year when we go to SD. it was nice to have water and electric on are sit. restrooms where really clean. if you need firewood you could pay for it and the will deliver it to your site.

This is one of our "most favorite" KOA's, it's always on our short list & makes it an easy choice for where to stop as we're driving through. It has now repeatedly turned into this being at least 2-3 days of break time off the road. The nicest staff, a yummy breakfast make this a perfect starting point for a relaxing day at the KOA or as a starting point for a day of adventure in the Black Hills. Clean cabins and amenities, a good variety of rv sites as well as tent sites make this an easy choice.

We stayed at Hot Springs / Black Hills SD KOA 12-16 July, in our 5th wheel. It was 100+ degrees every day yet the power to the RV sites remained on at this pretty full campground. Almost everyone had their A/C units on full blast. Sites are pretty level for mostly gravel roads and sites some sites we well shaded, Pool was being used by many. We made our reservation a week prior so we could receive forwarded mail that arrived and was handed to us directly. Being full timers for over 8 years we stop at a lot of campgrounds and quite a few KOA's at that, This staff was Amazing and really enjoyed what they were doing and it showed. Kudos to Carol and Scott, Yvonne and Lauren & Zeze and last but not least, Jheri who was making wonderful made to order breakfast platers when we departed. Thanks for going out of your way, every day, we relly enjoyed our stay.

Great store with a little bit everything in it. The workers where phenomenal and helped in any way possible and offered fantastic places to visit during the holiday. Laundry facility was perfect. Lots of activities for the family. Pool and pool area was clean!! Would definitely stay here again!!
