This campsite is built into the side of a large hillside. The sites are TOO close together. There isn't much room to maneuver the rigs. It seems like the underground water supply to the campsite is old. While we were there the main line broke and we did not have water. Management reimbursed everyone for the inconvenience. Bathrooms could use some updating & deep cleaning.

Offers everything a camper could want. Large sites, well kept, even TV hookup �. Shower/toilet area extremely clean. Very friendly and welcoming at check in.

Nice roomy sites among the trees. All the employees were very pleasant and we ordered pizza which they delivered to us.

We loved the area and want to return, we had one minor issue with the 50amp at site 47 and maintenance was able to loan me an adapter and use the 30amp instead of having to move. I also lost my cell phone and a young man returned it to the office and I was happy to get it back. Very nice people both working and staying at this KOA. The town of Hot Springs was enjoyable as well.

Other campers were a bit noisy, but the staff was amazing. As friendly and courteous as anyone could ask for. They do an excellent job here.

I was told I was getting a discount when I checked in but after showing them the math they realized that I was being overcharged and they couldn't do anything about it. So I told them that I would not pay that amount! And they did it to my other friends too. So I'm guessing they did it to everybody who comes to the campground! My advice make sure that you do the math. Sites are out of level.

We stayed 5 nights. We came for the Hot Springs Fall Balloon Festival. It’s very close to the airport and to Hot Springs. They had lots of activities for everyone to participate in in. Was well kept and the staff was friendly. Our site was a little close to other rv’s, but other sites were much more spacious.

We love staying at the Hot Springs KOA! The breakfast is always fantastic! Our little wiener dog loved playing in the dog park and walking around the campground. Will definately stay again!

Our stay was great..... Carol & Scott working on site in the store were really professional and answered all of our questions and made our stay very enjoyable. The pool area and showers & bathrooms were very clean. The pizza was very good as well and delivered to our site when they were done cooking.

Great staff. Perfect location for Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, and Custer. 5 minutes from downtown Hot Springs, Riverwalk, and resteraunts. Sites are decent size and off leash dog run(for well behaved dogs of course. Live music on weekends (which actually really good) with BBQs and made to order breakfast. Beautiful night skies as well. Stayed 4 days and everyday felt like home.

Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Campsites are too close together. Perhaps space campers further apart when its not full. Not necessary to cram everyone so close. Kinda ruins the camplike atmosphere. We would have liked to be closer to the restrooms as we both have pulmonary issues and it would have been nice to have a Veteran' iscount. Location is great, close to town but away from "city"

We found the attention to small details lacking. One shower stall and one toilet stall in women's bathroom did not lock. Urinal in men's out of order. Pool dirty with bugs/leaves on our first day. Site not level or maintained. Site sloped down in front and on sides. It was very difficult to make camper level. The cable was out and the Wi-Fi only worked near the office. Disappointing stay.

Appreciated pulling in after a long day of driving, then they delivered pizza to us, and the convenience of ordering breakfast on site before heading back out. Felt safe and quiet providing a good nights rest.

Stayed 7 nights. It was labeled "holiday" but its amenities were not as new or as nice as the 4 journey KOA we stayed at this trip. I guess the breakfast you could purchase on site gave it the label. The laundry room and the bathrooms were lacking. out of 4 washers and dryers only 2 dryers and 3 washer were working. Only one bathroom and shower area. The trash bins were over flowing.

This was our second stay here. The terrain is beautiful, sites are spaced apart enough. Bathrooms and showers are adequate. Wildlife is abundant, flocks of wild turkeys, rabbits, and birds. We even heard coyotes in the distance. The store offers some necessities plus breakfast and pizza. The pool and playground will keep kids busy for a while.

Awesome location and great office people but the sites need some work. I was struggling to get my RV level so that I could put out the slide. Had to move one spot over (office gave me permission to do that) but I still had to drive in versus backing in. I walked around the camp ground and saw lots of RVs, travel trailers that had numerous plastic blocks under the wheels - some had 6 blocks.

This is one of our "most favorite" KOA's, it's always on our short list & makes it an easy choice for where to stop as we're driving through. It has now repeatedly turned into this being at least 2-3 days of break time off the road. The nicest staff, a yummy breakfast make this a perfect starting point for a relaxing day at the KOA or as a starting point for a day of adventure in the Black Hills. Clean cabins and amenities, a good variety of rv sites as well as tent sites make this an easy choice.

We stayed at Hot Springs / Black Hills SD KOA 12-16 July, in our 5th wheel. It was 100+ degrees every day yet the power to the RV sites remained on at this pretty full campground. Almost everyone had their A/C units on full blast. Sites are pretty level for mostly gravel roads and sites some sites we well shaded, Pool was being used by many. We made our reservation a week prior so we could receive forwarded mail that arrived and was handed to us directly. Being full timers for over 8 years we stop at a lot of campgrounds and quite a few KOA's at that, This staff was Amazing and really enjoyed what they were doing and it showed. Kudos to Carol and Scott, Yvonne and Lauren & Zeze and last but not least, Jheri who was making wonderful made to order breakfast platers when we departed. Thanks for going out of your way, every day, we relly enjoyed our stay.

Great store with a little bit everything in it. The workers where phenomenal and helped in any way possible and offered fantastic places to visit during the holiday. Laundry facility was perfect. Lots of activities for the family. Pool and pool area was clean!! Would definitely stay here again!!
