For the most part it was a nice campground. We check in late so we were not able to get propane, which we ran out of. Our fire ring was way to close to our camper so we could not even use that to cook on. When we check out, we stopped at the store to get propane which we needed to keep our refrigerator on. The employee working that morning could not get some adaptor off, so no propane for us!

This KOA is a lovely quiet spot away from the crowds to explore the Black Hills and Custer State Park. Most sites have shade and are fairly level. The camp hosts are a delight! They went out of their way to meet our needs. The camp store has an excellent selection of gifts. We had a pizza delivered to our site while setting up and really enjoyed our camper breakfast. We will be back!

Enjoyed our stay at this location! Had pizza one night from the store, it was good. Had breakfast from the stand next to the pool and it was great. The staff is very friendly and visited with us. It is a beautiful setting and very quiet. The bathrooms are getting a little old but, they were kept very clean. All and all it is an outstanding KOA!

I chose Hot Springs location because I didn’t want to pull the trailer through the Black Hills. Happy I did, the it was a much better just driving the truck to visit the Black Hills sites, The drive was short and beautiful. The KOA was clean and the staff was Great!

Internet wasn't working, they didn't care. Unattended yapping dog right next to me, they didn't care. I will never stay here again! Sometimes it's better to let the adults handle situations not the kids working at the counter!!

The people running the office were so friendly and polite. We can't say enough about how wonderful they were. Having food available there and not having to leave the camp site to eat was a definite bonus. The bathrooms were clean and pleasant. We hope to stay there again when traveling to South Dakota.

Park was clean & well maintained. Friendly staff. Level sites. Store was nicely stocked and food options were great for dinner & breakfast. Conveniently located near many attractions.

The campground is nice and clean, there is a nice store on site well stocked with a variety of items. There was a small mix up over full hook up vs water & electric and they were very good about getting us moved into a FHU site even closer to the other party we were traveling with. We ordered a pizza that they delivered in a very timely manner, which was delicious! Great experience.

We ran into some issue with our AC in our camper & ended up getting a hotel for the weekend (80-100 degree weekend). Will always recommend this KOA but they do not do any sort of refund even in our case. Such a bummer.

Braden (son of Scott and Carol) made for a fun visit. Possibly make the site numbering more clear. I will likely return next year in preparation for the 4th Fireworks at Rushmore.

Camp hosts were so accommodating, helping me upgrade to a cabin so I could be next to my family. The sites were big and shady. The pool was very nice . Loved m visit!

We had such GREAT service and care from everyone we interacted with. Both the staff and other campers. We rented cabin 12 and enjoyed our stay alot. We woke up the next morning and decided We wanted to stay another day. Unfortunately there were no openings, the staff allowed us to purchase a day pass which allowed us to spend the 99-102 degree day pool side. We were also able to play corn hole

Very nice facility and extremely friendly staff. Carol and Scott went above and beyond making sure we had what we needed and were very helpful with activities for our family. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. Just wished the pool would have been warmer, but know that we were there at the beginning of summer.

No refrigerator in cabin this time, previous year I did. Lousy coffee. Need more downward lighting on path to restroom. Had cook cooks in Cafe. Restrooms clean. Quiet setting.

This is one of our "most favorite" KOA's, it's always on our short list & makes it an easy choice for where to stop as we're driving through. It has now repeatedly turned into this being at least 2-3 days of break time off the road. The nicest staff, a yummy breakfast make this a perfect starting point for a relaxing day at the KOA or as a starting point for a day of adventure in the Black Hills. Clean cabins and amenities, a good variety of rv sites as well as tent sites make this an easy choice.

We stayed at Hot Springs / Black Hills SD KOA 12-16 July, in our 5th wheel. It was 100+ degrees every day yet the power to the RV sites remained on at this pretty full campground. Almost everyone had their A/C units on full blast. Sites are pretty level for mostly gravel roads and sites some sites we well shaded, Pool was being used by many. We made our reservation a week prior so we could receive forwarded mail that arrived and was handed to us directly. Being full timers for over 8 years we stop at a lot of campgrounds and quite a few KOA's at that, This staff was Amazing and really enjoyed what they were doing and it showed. Kudos to Carol and Scott, Yvonne and Lauren & Zeze and last but not least, Jheri who was making wonderful made to order breakfast platers when we departed. Thanks for going out of your way, every day, we relly enjoyed our stay.

Great store with a little bit everything in it. The workers where phenomenal and helped in any way possible and offered fantastic places to visit during the holiday. Laundry facility was perfect. Lots of activities for the family. Pool and pool area was clean!! Would definitely stay here again!!
