I came early in the season and it was rainy and cold. The staff was very helpful in moving me to a cabin for the coldest night (I was in a tent - brr!). Overall, the campground was well cared for, in a convenient area, and staffed with some very sweet people! I’ll definitely stay again next time I find myself in the area.

Very friendly and helpful, hard working too. We have a tent that fits in the back of our truck. The only problem was trying to find a level spot to park. Luckily it was early season so we could pick out one that met our needs.

My stay was very nice. Quiet, barely had any highway noise. The owls were enjoyable. Very close to many of the attractions nearby. I prefer this KOA instead of Rapid City KOA. It’s so windy at that location. Staff was very helpful and ensured I was close to bathroom. My doggies loved the grassy enclosure dog park. They both were able to run and chase away the zoomies �� Rhonda

Thank you so much for the heater! It made our stay a lot easier. Also, thanks so much for letting us stay an extra day. We really enjoyed the cabin and enjoyed hiking in the state and national park and forest areas.

Loved that the cabins were nestled in the trees. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, however we had a hard time checking in at 2pm because the office was closed until 4pm. Clean bathrooms, but the air freshener was overpowering. Quiet, easy access to Hot Springs Town. Cabin was fine and had heat and AC.

Perfect again! We love staying in the cabin at your KOA in Hot Springs! Our kids (ages 5 and 1) have the biggest smiles when we visit and love exploring the grounds. Thank you so much for the wonderful time! Great staff, fun playground, excellent location, clean and comfortable cabin. Highly recommended!

Before our arrival I spoke to the manager there. He was very helpful on what site would fit us an easy in and out to leave in the morning. It's a very clean campground with a nice canine dog park

We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins. We enjoyed watching the wildlife in the area. We saw deer, rabbits, turkeys and lots of birds. The owners are very friendly and accomodating. We'll be back!

A nice spot with the privacy and shade of trees, away from the city. We stayed one night in a cabin without kids; would be fun to bring our kids next time. Has plenty of things to do and it's close to all the sights of the Black Hills. Wish the cabin rates were more affordable during the summer season, but you are getting a nice warm shower and all the amenities compared to some cabins!

Thad was a great host. Very personable and helpful. The whole park was laid out well and was clean. Even the dog park was clean. The hot water in the shower was wonderful!

The lady where we checked in was exceptionally nice. The site leaned to one side and was short for our rig.

Friendly owners and very accommodating. Mens shower heads need replacing though. Womans showers were very slow draining. Great location to get to Rapid City and Mt Rushmore.

Nice people, nice park. Their daily breakfast was awesome ! Easy access to everything around there. We had a nice stay for 4 nights.

We stayed overnight and enjoyed our experience at Hot Springs SD/Black Hills KOA. The campground is well maintained. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The staff are great and very accommodating. Thanks for taking good care of us.

We love this KOA. Nestled in the pine trees, this KOA is picturesque of the Black Hills Area in South Dakota. Close to amazing attractions like Wind Cave National Park, The Mammoth Site, and Evans Plunge, we stay at this KOA for our quick trip vacation. Our kids love the playground and mini golf (both free!). The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this KOA.

Really loved this place and the family who hosted us. Lovely trees, level sites, cute dog park, nice camp store and all sorts of extras like a Rec-room & dog bath. I’d love to come back in warmer weather and stay a week. There’s so much to do in this area and this KOA is the perfect homebase.

This is our 4th Stay here. We like the location and the price we pay. We get way more than what we pay for. We plan to come back as often as we can. Cabin is always a great option for us.

I love this place! Very convenient to day trips throughout the region, and staff members go out of their way to be helpful. Expect a morning visit to your site from wild turkeys!

I came back to the area I visited 40 years ago The KOA was great Friendly staff the surroundings were peaceful and clean I liked the Turkeys visiting the camp with youngins I hated to go but I’ll be back Thanks for a memorable visit

This is one of our "most favorite" KOA's, it's always on our short list & makes it an easy choice for where to stop as we're driving through. It has now repeatedly turned into this being at least 2-3 days of break time off the road. The nicest staff, a yummy breakfast make this a perfect starting point for a relaxing day at the KOA or as a starting point for a day of adventure in the Black Hills. Clean cabins and amenities, a good variety of rv sites as well as tent sites make this an easy choice.

We stayed at Hot Springs / Black Hills SD KOA 12-16 July, in our 5th wheel. It was 100+ degrees every day yet the power to the RV sites remained on at this pretty full campground. Almost everyone had their A/C units on full blast. Sites are pretty level for mostly gravel roads and sites some sites we well shaded, Pool was being used by many. We made our reservation a week prior so we could receive forwarded mail that arrived and was handed to us directly. Being full timers for over 8 years we stop at a lot of campgrounds and quite a few KOA's at that, This staff was Amazing and really enjoyed what they were doing and it showed. Kudos to Carol and Scott, Yvonne and Lauren & Zeze and last but not least, Jheri who was making wonderful made to order breakfast platers when we departed. Thanks for going out of your way, every day, we relly enjoyed our stay.

Great store with a little bit everything in it. The workers where phenomenal and helped in any way possible and offered fantastic places to visit during the holiday. Laundry facility was perfect. Lots of activities for the family. Pool and pool area was clean!! Would definitely stay here again!!
