Overall stay was good. Workers were friendly. The main issue for us with the campground is the dump station location. When you exit (from the second row) it’s on the wrong side of your camper. Meaning your options are to skip, run lines under your rig or having to loop around a few times in order to get on the correct side. Not Convenient or easy if you have a larger rig.

Late November so there wasn't much activity but it was well kept with some fun amenities for kids. They also have some cool cabins. We will definitely come back.

This is a beautiful park. We had a beautiful site, unfortunately the hookups were on the wrong side. After speaking with the office he told us how to turn around in the park. The only real concern is the lack of internet. WiFi was great but was unsecured. After driving all day we were looking forward to just watching tv and were unable to. Again beautiful park and site!

OK for an overnight stop. Clean and neat, some spaces very tight, Cabins looked great. Would probably stay again if in the area.

This was a Halloween event, and we have returned for this event for three years. This KOA always hosts a first-class event for the children of the park and invites hundreds of children from the surrounding community. The owner/host even holds a great annual chili contest for the park guests to compete in. This has always been our favorite KOA!

We live camping at KOA Horse Cave, the staff is very nice and the campground is always clean, no issues and will be back in 2026

Beautiful sites, very friendly and welcoming staff. Wish we had more time to stay.

It was a passing thru weekend. Noted, next time passing south, we would stay. One of the BEST restroom/showers we ever stayed at. Thanks for your hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay at Horse Cave KO.A Holiday. Our site was a little small for our 41' motorhome but we were able to back in at an angle and not feel like we were backing off the hill. The park was very pretty. Only downfall was the noise from the highway.

Very impressed! Clean and perfect place to stay. Would definitely recommend!

The staff were very helpful and the onsite facilities were nice and well kept. However we were in to different pull through sites and both were so unlevel that the wheels on one side of our fifth wheel were completely off the ground. They could use a little work.
Oct 22, 2025
Site was so slanted that the hydraulic jacks slipped off the pads trying to level our motorhome, bending two of them! We had to replace them both for $4800 plus labor! Wish we had never stopped there. Ruined our vacation.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Teresa, why were we never informed of this issue until now? We have never had anything like this occur before.

Perfect location (for my family) right off the highway (white noise for us city slickers) and close to the areas we visited, the kids LOVED the bounce pillow the catfish they hauled in from the pond. Bathrooms are among the cleanest and most modern of all of the KOA’s we’ve stayed at. Staff was friendly and answered questions. Thumbs up x2 !!!

Best shower house I’ve ever been at! Wish there had been more activities for the kids over the weekend.

This was our 2nd stay in the past 3 weeks! Everything was perfect!

The Horse Cave KOA is a very nice place. It's conveniently located right off I-65. The place was very clean and neat, and they had 10 full bathrooms in the bath house. We will likely stay here again, since it is conveniently located close to family as well. Thanks to all the workers for a great experience!

Overall the experience was very good. My only complaint was that the site we were at had pretty unlevel ground and it was a big pain to get our pop-up camper level. There was a significant downhill slope.

We reserved a pull through site with water and electricity. The sight we were given was a slight pull thru on the edge of the drive. Right on the road and we had to go in backwards to the sight because our hook ups were not long enough to go in the designated way. We made due with the sight but it was not level. We were towing so it was really not an ideal sight.

This is one of the most beautiful parks we have been to and very well kept up Great fall colors!

Easy to find off the interstate. Clean camp sites and beautiful scenery. Family friendly activities on site. Close to local attractions. Steep access roads and camp sites not level. No large trash bins/dumpsters. Dump station not easily accessible.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Dumpster is listed on site map. We do trash pick-up from 11 am -12 pm daily.

This was our honeymoon trip. We really liked this park and will return.

This is a good place to stay when you want to visit all the caves around the area. The only downside is the traffic noise but the campground is clean and very well kept with lots of things for the kids to do! The pull-thru sites are mostly level - had to adjust our travel trailer a bit!!

Good koa. Bit hard to level on the sights though
Oct 14, 2025
The campground itself is nice and the pool looks great. The only issue I have with this KOA is the road noise that you hear all day and night.
Oct 13, 2025
The facilities were very clean and staff was very friendly. While we don’t have kids it was nice to see all the kid friendly play options. They also had a lot of Halloween and fall activities.
Oct 13, 2025
Really liked the site ,grandkids loved the activities workers were nice showers very clean close to other attractions, only real fault is the WY the dump station is set up makes it difficult and causes confusion for some visitors, but overall may be the best koa I have stayed at

The amenities weren't open as states online (slide open thurs- sat management closed early by 10/9 per office) ran out of soap water on Saturday closed early. Bathroom weren't fully stocked daily (worse on weekends) . Staff going around w/ leaf blower while we were close by eating instead coming back ( not many leaves to blow) staff never said hi or how you doing . Closed office early 7ish.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Charles, We service bathhouse daily. I waved while you all were setting out at the picnic tables and a lady waved back. We even admired your painted pumpkins on the picnic table. We are in our fall hours and everyone is told at check-in our office hours.

We didn't have a room because we were in our tent but they have some amazing looking teepees, and the conestoga wagons face a beautiful grassy valley with nice big decks out back. This is a really nice campground. All the showers are actually individual bathrooms so that was a really nice feature and they were super clean. We arrived after dark so I couldn't tell if any of the other empty tent sites were level. Ours wasn't super flat but we made do. Also, when you're picking your site for an RV or camper, there's some pull through right along the campground road where your table and fire pit basically sit next to the road. Maybe that's normal. I don't have a camper. And surprisingly the highway noise kept up all night long. My experience is that most KOAs we've ever stayed at are close to an interstate, but typically we don't notice the noise as much. This KOA campground was very well kept and I would definitely recommend it!
