It was absolutely wonderful and perfect for travel for anyone with kids. My grandchildren are 6,8,10 and they loved every thing. I enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings and LOVED our treehouse. The staff were awesome

Great home base for our Mammoth family vacation! Lots of amenities and activities on site for all ages. Our deluxe cabin was stellar. Clean, with plenty of room to stretch out for the four of us and a firepit patio area to boot. Thanks Horse Cave KOA!! We can’t wait to come back!

We Love This KOA but extremely disappointed this time with one of the cabins in the duplex. Either a cat or dog peed in the carpet or someone left something to moldew. We did report it. We felt like we should have been offered something off our bill. The smell was awful. Everything else fine.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin, and it was very nice. Our son and family camped, and we were a walk up the hill from them. Lots of fun things to do for families nearby. The pool was having issues, but we did get to enjoy it a couple hours on one of the days. The area was very clean. We had a couple of friendly turkeys we enjoyed. Not a lot of shade at the full hookups, but a very nice KOA.

Disappointing lack of supplies in cabin. Nearly empty paper towel roll. There was a 1/4 supply of liquid soap in the sink. No soap for a shower...no shower mat. The shower curtain was a foot too long and it made the shower leak. No shelving at all in the shower. When I got there, spiderwebs/top/toilet tank/fuzzballs under bed. I booked 2 nights but only stayed one even though I paid for 2 nights.

Our cabin was full of bugs. I was told they were termites. A few on the first day then by day 3 my husband opened the curtain by the bed, there was at least 50 on the wall. We demanded our money back and moved to a hotel. We told the woman behind the desk on day one. She gave my husband ant spray, said she had no were to move us. We will never stay there again.

One of the BEST places to stay. Beautiful campground with so many things locally to enjoy. TOP NOTCH employees is just the icing on the cake. I will for sure be staying here again and again.

Lovely facility. Unfortunately, management was not particularly attuned to guest’s needs. Example: 1 trash bag for a 5 night stay & no clear direction re trash pickup.

The covered wagon was very nice for :glamping", the bath house is the best I have ever seen at a campground, and the staff was helpful. This is a very convenient location for taking in Mammoth National Park.

We LOVED our treehouse cabin. The view was fantastic, even in March without a lot of green on the trees. Cabin was well stocked and my boys (13 & 8) LOVE a loft but even more when they each get their own queen mattress. We didn't have a grill like the listing said (one showed up right as we were checking out) but stayed early in season. RV sites seemed tight but our treehouse was great!!

The furniture, while nice, is too large for the cabin. There needs to be a shelf/soap dish in the shower. There really needs to be a bit more storage space in general. Maybe some shelves? While we were there, a man came through spraying (for bugs I guess). He would knock and if no one answered, he would unlock the door and go in. I thought that was wrong. It wasn’t bad or great.

Check in was great. I misunderstood an email and thought I could check in at noon instead of 4pm. I arrived at noon but luckily the cabin was ready and they let me in. I had been driving for 12 hours and was very appreciative for that. The cabin was clean and everything was very nice. There did seem to be an attack of the stink bugs at the cabin. I flushed 9 **try permethrin it kills most insects*

The campground was very nice and we enjoyed the amenities. My only disappointment is not being able to stay in one of the wagons. The wagon we had reserved had a very noticeable wasp nest inside it, so we were unable to stay in it with our small children. There was no real offer to help us with this problem beyond suggesting we stay in one of the teepees, which cost more.

Spring has sprung. We treat all units for pest. There was no know nest found in the wagons. Pest company said they were trying to find warm from the weather change.

Very nice cabin, comfortable bed. Kids had fun at the playground and bounce pad. Store is only open until 4 so we were never able to get supplies or wood for a fire.

We have after hours firewood. Also manager number is posted on map and by office door for assists. This was our off season hours. someone always on site to be reached.

I have stayed at this KOA several times before and loved it, but we were disappointed in the treehouse. The air unit did not work at all. It got fairly uncomfortably warm. When we checked in, we went to eat and by the time we got back and realized it wasn't working there was no one in the office. For the price to stay in one of these, it would have been nice to have everything working.

The front desk girl was rude and unhelpful upon check-in. Our cabin had at least ten flies in it, and I think they were coming out of the shower drain. The bed was tremendously uncomfortable and the road noise was bad. The cabin was cold because the single heater was in a different room than the bedroom. The mini golf course was dilapidated.

Ashley, I am sorry you had an unpleasant stay. The issue was never brought to our attention. In my 21 years of ownership, I have never had flies coming out of a drain. This is a new remodel, Cabin. I will check with staff to see what the issue was. My staff is always super friendly.

The cabin was clean. The barn doors weren't great for privacy and didnt close well. The amenities were nice...playgrounds, dog park etc. We were supposed to have cabins together but somehow this was messed up - family on opposite ends. We brought food to share so this was an inconvenience. We told the office and they didn't apologize or offer any changes. Said cabins full but never saw anyone t

Our stay started off poorly and didn’t get better. We booked with family and were told our cabins would be next to each other, but they weren’t. The staff offered no help or apology. The interstate noise was constant, making it hard to relax, and the playground was rusty and neglected. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Very clean, friendly, and full of fun activities for the kids! This KOA is truly unique with beautiful wagons, cozy cabins, tree houses, tipis, and regular campsites. Bathrooms were spotless, the office and grounds well kept, and the staff was excellent and prompt. Not your average campground—highly recommend!

Cabin #3-no soap or shampoo in shower, hot/cold water at 2 sinks reversed, towels &hand towels don't dry-they slide water around, was told pots & pans provided but got there & no stove, no toaster, bed too close to wall-person next to wall has to exit bed at foot, no HVAC in bedroom (if close door to den no HVAC enters room, no drawers for clothes & no place to open suitcase to get clothes-BAD BAD

John Upon booking your reservation as you did online. It is important to read what is listed in the cabins. You did not book a cabin with a stove so No we wouldn't have pots and pans. We do provide cups, plates etc.. We put a small bottle of shampoo. cond etc.. as a start up of your stay.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Treehouse was clean on the inside (outside deck, not so much) Would be nice to have light blankets available. We did not cook. Outside grill at treehouse 1 leaves alot to be desired. Was afraid to even try to ignite it to cook. Outdoor porch furniture at treehse 1 is a HOT MESS. We had a nice stay treehse 1 just needs a little love on deck areas

We love, love, love this KOA Campground! It is very nice and clean...new bathhouses with private rooms with shower, toilet, sink and vanity! Plenty for the kids to do. We have stayed in the covered wagon for 2 years in a row! The graddaughters LOVE it. We went the 2nd weekend in October and they have trick-or-treat for the kids. Highly recommend!

We stayed in TeePee 1 and it was perfect! Our girls loved it and all the fun things to do at the campground. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The campground was so nice and clean.

It was a really cool spot. Really close to mammoth caves. There were turkeys, ponies and a donkey ! There was also a great fishing pond. Over all a very beautiful site.

Visiting my nephew for a birthday party there. Nice camping sites. Pool well took care of and a fishing pond. I definitely recommend.

We didn't have a room because we were in our tent but they have some amazing looking teepees, and the conestoga wagons face a beautiful grassy valley with nice big decks out back. This is a really nice campground. All the showers are actually individual bathrooms so that was a really nice feature and they were super clean. We arrived after dark so I couldn't tell if any of the other empty tent sites were level. Ours wasn't super flat but we made do. Also, when you're picking your site for an RV or camper, there's some pull through right along the campground road where your table and fire pit basically sit next to the road. Maybe that's normal. I don't have a camper. And surprisingly the highway noise kept up all night long. My experience is that most KOAs we've ever stayed at are close to an interstate, but typically we don't notice the noise as much. This KOA campground was very well kept and I would definitely recommend it!
