Unforgettable stay in the covered wagon! We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying in a covered wagon at the Horse Cave KOA Holiday. The wagon itself was incredibly unique, clean, and well-equipped with all the comforts you need. The entire campground was clean, the staff was friendly, and the peaceful views made it even better. It's also the perfect base camp for visiting Mammoth Cave NP

We just went back for our 3rd stay for their "early" Halloween weekend! They go out of their way to make it such an enjoyable weekend! We love staying in the covered wagons...everything is clean, everyone there is so nice and helpful! The new bathhouse is also very clean and updated. My granddaughters love going there and look forward to it each year. Lots for them to do and play!

Stayed in a Conestoga wagon. Fun experience, clean place overall. Staff really shined in helpfulness, friendliness, and understanding when it took us awhile to get out after our van wouldn't start! Big shout out to them for helping us get back on the road.

The Treehouse was amazing. The whole family loved it and wants to come back. The campground amenities for kids were wonderful. We'll definitely come back! Only thing we'd suggest is including a few more standard furnishings such as hand soap for the bathroom & kitchen, extra trash bags, and another roll of paper towels. Also, the fireplace didn't work and the sliding door handle was missing.

Had a wonderful time at the horse cave KOA. The staff was super friendly and very helpful with anything we may have needed. Hope to visit again soon!

It was a beautiful stay! Our cabin was well stocked and decently clean. Our cabin was a bit close to the road making it hard to hear much else sadly and our bedsheets had some stains that appeared to be blood or something similar. They were clean but still the stains were a bit noticeable to the point I wouldn’t use the sheets provided and almost drove home to get my own.

The treehouse was beautiful knotty pine wood inside and there were lots of thoughtful seating groups outside - terrific patio, nice deck, picnic tables, adirondacks, lighting, gas grill. The loft has only about 5 ft of clearance, and there’s next to no room for storage of food or personal belongings, but we still had a lovely stay!

We were welcomed very nicely and treated greatly. Our cabin was lovely and the staff was always friendly and ready whenever we needed them. The events at Halloween was such a blast! The July 4th fireworks were fantastic! It was convenient to get to all the attractions around the area from the campground. It was peaceful and comfortable there. We look forward to coming back!!!

The Lodging at this KOA is outstanding. We stayed in the treehouse and it was awesome it was the nicest cabin we stayed in out of 5 KOA cabins this summer but the rest of the park was kinda boring for my 8 year old we were there on a Saturday night and the only activity was the slide and the pool. The pool was old and small in need of much repair and only 2 tubes for the slide.

Great place my only complaint would be you can heat traffic in the distance. Definitely not a deal breaker! That being said the park is very clean and the staff is awesome.

We stayed in one of the tee pees and it was very clean. The only issues we had was there was no coffee maker in the unit as was advertised. When the office was notified they adjusted the rate.

Loved the treehouse! Super clean, comfortable and cute! Check-in was very easy, the campground itself was nice with plenty to do for kids. Some of the playground could use a little TLC as well as the volleyball court, but the jump pillow, tube slide etc was great. The location was also great being close to so many attractions in Horse Cave and Cave City. We would definitely stay again!

Loved our stay! Beautiful and clean deluxe cabin and really great amenities for the kids. The jumping pillow, slide, and pool were extremely fun and well maintained. This was our first time at a KOS, and it exceeded our expectations. Thanks for a great experience!

Extremely disappointed that the pool was not properly maintained. The pool had to be drained after turning green. We were not offered any discount despite this being one of the reasons we chose to stay here.

We stayed in the little camping cabin and it was adorable. Clean, air conditioned, and conveniently located. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also the slide, pool, and jumping “pillow” were a big hit for us. Just a quick drive to the caves and lots of places to eat nearby. FWIW highway noise was not an issue for us at all.

We loved our stay in the deluxe cabin. My 12 year old son enjoyed doing things around the campground. We will definitely be back. Only issue we had was the cabin could have been a little cleaner.

Our stay was short but sweet! The staff are helpful and friendly. The boys enjoyed many of the amenities… the pool and fishing were favorites. Our cabin was clean and had all the essential supplies.

Our wagon had a little patio with seating and a nice view right outside the front door but it was covered, not just sprinkled, with smelly, damp grass clippings from a lawn mower.

The website said there was a gas grill, I asked the woman at the front desk and she said" that's not on the website ". The pool was closed 3 days of our stay. I would not recommend this place. The " slide" was open 1/2 day the whole stay. There was no dish soap, hand soap, 1 dish towel. We will NOT be staying there or recommending it to anyone.

I am sorry for the inconvenience. The deluxe duplex has gas grills. The pool was closed one day for a pump repair. The slide is listed on web site Thursday-Saturday 4-7. Your dish soap etc... was under the kitchen sick.

Campground was conveniently located. We got a deluxe cabin. It was nice and clean. We checked in around 1pm, the cabin was hot, we turned on the AC and then went to explore the area. We got back a few minutes after the office closed and it was still really hot. The ac wasn't working. I had to go out and buy 2 fans to even sleep. It was a rough night and disappointing for the price we paid.

We stayed a night in the Oregon Trail Wagon and we had a wonderful time. The wagon was super spacious and the AC worked great even in the July heat. The bathhouse was clean and the bathrooms spacious. Wonderful stay for us

Our family absolutely loved our stay at Horse Cave KOA! As parents of energetic young twin boys, finding a campground that truly keeps everyone happy isn’t always easy but this place exceeded our expectations. RIP THE CARPET OFF THE STAIRS IN S02!!! Smells like Tomcat pee. As soon as we opened the door it hit us in the face. Nasty! We've stayed in all of your lodging options. If one of the small cabins isn't available in the future, we won't be back. Beautiful KOA, kid friendly... we hated the Teepee, 2nd time we stayed in covered wagon .. wasps, treehouse, very nice..lugging everything upstairs, alot!

Absolutely loved the campground and facilities. Everything was very clean and well maintained. I’d say the only downside is the noise from highway 65. We rented a pull thru RV spot, a deluxe cabin and a Teepee. By far, the teepee was the coolest! Thank you!

The Cabin was more than I expected. The camp ground was beautifully kept. Fishing pond was a little unkept but we still attempted to fish. Definitely will camp there again when we are in the area

It was absolutely wonderful and perfect for travel for anyone with kids. My grandchildren are 6,8,10 and they loved every thing. I enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings and LOVED our treehouse. The staff were awesome

Really nice KOA, the bathrooms were lovely and super close to the cabin I rented. Breathtaking views across farm fields to the west. The highway is audible but not so loud we couldn't sleep.

Yall, the campground is nice! Not too big, only a few tent sites which is how I stayed, but plenty of RV sites, as well as the teepee and covered wagon sites. I didnt see the primitive cabins, but the treehouse cabins looked nice!! The bathrooms are so so nice for a campground!! That was the part I was most worried about in booking here, as I couldn't find much info about them, but rest assured, they are superb and clean and heated, which was really nice since it got down to 38° the nights we stayed, and thats a little chilly in a tent 😅 so it was nice to be able to warm up in a clean and warm shower ! Overall, definitely recommend the place:)
