Easy to reserve on line. On arrival everyone was great to work with. Amazing showers. They pick up your trash. As others have noted, I-65 is close and every motorcycle and Jake brake application can be heard. You do just get used to it. The sites are close like everywhere these days. For what we needed it was great.

The stay was okay. The sight were not level. When we made our reservation we asked to be next to the couple we were camping with. They said they could not do this because they were full. We had two empty camp sites next to us were empty the whole weekend. The internet was in secure and very very slow.

one complaint; I wanted to upgrade my sight to one of the cabins and the price advertised on their sign was alot cheaper than the actual price. By about 50 dollars. They need to upgrade their sign. They wouldn't honor the sign price.

Kids have it made here! Thers mini golf, bounce pad, slip and slides... I used the laundry super clean. Ehh on the wifi. Not so great. We were located down the hill. Very nice lady at check in. There's a Veterans discount. Exxon and convienant store at the end of the drive. Super close to HORSE CAVE & MAMMOTH CAVE. We rode our bikes to both!!

Best KOA we have stayed at.

Nice camp ground. Traffic noise was a bit much. WiFi was horrible. It rained every day not KOA’s fault.

Too close to the highway. Lots of truck noise. ( That's the reason for the three stars.) Staff was awesome! Bathhouse was super clean.

Great layout. Very clean. Staff very helpful

Beautiful campground! I had a terrific view of the valley beyond. Friendly helpful staff. The bathhouse was super clean and modern with many large shower rooms (some even had bathtub/shower combos). Very close to Mammoth Cave Visitor's Center.

Bathroom/showers are wonderful. Lots of activities, enjoyed the putt putt golf. Only drawback is being close to the freeway, some traffic noise.

Nice campground. Advice to anyone using a pull through, you will probably want to use levelers on your back end. Also, be prepared to cook at home, it seems most of the local restaurants are closed.

Highly recommend, beautiful scenery! Farm animals and the cleanest nicest bathrooms!! We will definitely be back!

You are in a great spot to see some very interesting caves. One exit up a great Mexican restaurant. Your park was well maintained for sure. Bathrooms and showers are the best set up I saw so far. People in office was very friendly and helpful to. Very nice area to check out.

Nice campground, unfortunately the 50 amp electric service quit working, had to go out and connect to 30 amp service……

What an interesting camp layout! But it works! Camp was very nice, staff as well. In close proximity to several attractions. We had a lot of rain (2.7 inches in <24 hrs) but they did a great job engineering the drainage paths there. We did not use the bath or laundry facilities, so no comment on those. We’d return.

Good amount of gravel in the lower pull through sites at the bottom, you will need a block to level up. Decent ATT cell service, weak wifi even being next to the antenna. Road noise from I-65, but you already knew that before booking this place. :) Office staff was nice. Loves truck stop across the road if needed.

Possibly the best campground bathroos I've had the pleasure of using. Very clean and private. All of the staff was nace and friendly. Plenty of activities for the kids. Convienient to lots of attractions. I'd stay again..

We had a back in site, it was extremely unlevel. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

Water electric sites were very unlevel. Difficult to level out camper to the point of being unsafe. Other improvememts are great but, level the sites or you will lose business.

Loved the place. Our site was great and level. The bathrooms were wonderful. The fishing pond was fun and the jump pillow too. Definitely will be back.

nice friendly folks that run this but you don't get a choice of campsite RV's site was picked for us and no wiifi at all. Called for help was told I needed a tablet to connect had that did not work at all. There should be something said on Website about WiFi being hard to obtain. good to my grandkids and sweet stafff..

You say you have WiFi but not for a tv and I couldn’t use it on my tablet. We always have an issue getting level and must do it manually. After a long day in the road it’s sad you can’t even watch the news

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry you had no TV hook ups. We do not advertise that we have TV for Rv's.

We had a great time. The campground was beautiful and had a lot for our grand kids to do. Everything was clean and the staff was super friendly. The campground sites were spacious with a nice fire pit. I have already recommended the treehouse and the teepee to friends.

The site was the worse we’ve ever had at a KOA. It was parallel to the road with the steps having to be against the road. Very unlevel — left to right (by at least 6 plus inches) plus unlevel forward/back. The website did not inform this kind of site — only that it was in the center of tie park. The dump station was backwards upon leaving the park. We had to go to Loves and pay to dump,

Pros: Large gravel sites, nice play ground, and awesome shower/bathrooms. Cons: A bit noisy from the highway and the clothes dryers were not working.

This park is always upgrading each season. We stayed in a large width back in site w tons of room! My kids played all day w other kids, and on the jumping pillow!!

Stayed one night while traveling to Florida but the family has already said they want to come back and stay longer. Great KOA with the cleanest bathrooms we have ever seen. Lots of ways to stay weather camping, staying in a wagon or lodging in a treehouse. Staff was very welcoming. Stayed on site 84 which took some adjusting but got it leveled without blocks. Highly recommend this KOA!

The full hookup pull thru sites are on a steep slope (all 4 back tires off the ground by >5" to get level-not safe). The back-in full hookup sites require you to back up to the edge of a hill drop off. The pull thru water/electric sites felt like pulling off on the side of the road and I wouldn't have enjoyed sitting at campfire. The office staff were very nice, lots of great amenities.

The site was so lopsided there was no was to level the motorhome. Had to hold on to keep from falling out of bed. Would have stay two nights but none of the sites looked any better.

First campout of the season, this was a shakedown to see if everything worked. We have been here before and this was our second trip here. We love the area and the campground. If the season allows they have a great pool and things for the kids to do. Check out the new treehouse cabins and the teepee style cabins, I think they look awesome

Good location and well-kept campground. Clean laundry facilities, but only one working dryer. Neat having a horse on-site! And wild turkeys. We saw kids having a blast on the play equipment :) Only negative was no cable and no antenna reception at our lower tier campsite.

Nice people to deal with. Easy on and off highway. Level site. Would stay here again if passing through. Real convenient.

I was disappointed in my site. I thought it was very expensive. The bathrooms were excellent I must say.

We generally like staying at KOA campgrounds but admittedly our experience wasn’t great. We had a “premium” lot situated close to the amenities, but the main ones which had us booking in the first place were closed like the pool and large slides. In addition the area itself wasn’t leveled which made the stay awkward in terms of water drainage, sleep, and overall comfort of staying in the R

What an amazing, relaxing stay! We were in the area visiting family and decided to splurge and stay in the treehouse cabin. I didn't want to leave!!! Beautiful views at sunset, tons of outdoor space, and stunning interior. Lots for kids to do. (I had to try the jumping pillow for myself! Highly recommend!) The staff are so sweet, especially Lisa. Places like this are why we stay at KOAs and not hotels! Can't beat it!

Had a really nice, level site. Great amenities and the bathrooms are top notch! Only issue we had was with the internet/TV connection. We wound up using our phones as mobile hot spots to watch tv....

Our recent stay at Horse Cave KOA in Kentucky was an extraordinary experience that we highly recommend to anyone looking for an outdoor adventure. Nestled in the heart of nature, this campground not only offers the serenity and beauty one seeks in a getaway but also boasts facilities that are impeccably maintained and staffed by some of the friendliest people we've encountered. What sets Horse Cave KOA apart are its unique accommodations, particularly the teepees and tree houses, which provide a one-of-a-kind camping experience. The teepees offer a fun, traditional, yet comfortable camping vibe, allowing you to connect with the great outdoors without sacrificing comfort. On the other hand, the tree houses are an absolute dream for those looking to elevate their stay—quite literally! Perched among the branches, these accommodations offer stunning views and a tranquil setting that makes you feel as if you've stepped into a fairy tale. The cleanliness of the amenities here deserves a special mention. Whether it was the restrooms, the common areas, or the accommodations themselves, everything was spotless. The proximity to local attractions adds another layer of appeal, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The Horse Cave KOA provides an unparalleled camping experience that combines the beauty of Kentucky's natural landscapes with the charm of unique accommodations and the warmth of exceptional service. It's a perfect spot for families, couples, and solo adventurers seeking a memorable escape into nature.
