We stayed in a covered wagon. We were so excited & this didn't disappoint. Not only was it amazing with a beautiful view & wonderful accommodations, but the private shower rooms were clean & the best I've ever had at any campground! There are so many fun activities with the pool, bounce pillow, and mini golf. There is only one downside- being right on the interstate & noise BUT GREAT PLACE!

We were traveling with a 9 year old boy and 11 year old boy, and the covered wagon was a real treat! They loved the bunk bed, and I loved the Keurig coffeemaker. The bath house was clean but there wasn’t a soap dispenser in the shower. There seemed to be a lot of activities that our grandsons would have enjoyed but we arrived late and left early. Exceptional, from pleasant young lady when we checked in, spotless Teepee inclusive of all one needs, location and enough spaces between campers etc. Brought directory book home yo select future stays I grew up camping at KOA’s with family travels throughout the US and Canada. Mede me feel 10 years old again

It was a nice campground, but just one for you to stay at while passing through. I didn’t like that you can see the highway and hear it. There was never anyone available to attend the slide, which is such a waste. Maybe having guests sign a waiver to use the slide at their own risk. More steps to the play area (on both sides)

Pleasant front desk. Covered wagon was a unique accommodation - great view and nice set up. Every bathroom stall had some issue almost every time we went. Pool could use a new filter. Neighbors raced UTVs up the drive at night. Grill igniter was broken. The worst part was coming back to find someone in our wagon - pest person came in to spray without any notice and with all of our stuff inside

The bath house was disgusting!! The trash was always full, no toilet tissue in several stalls, no paper towels either, the drains covered in hair, feces on the toilets, and the sinks were just as gross. 2 men smoking constantly the last night we were there in the bathhouse. There was constant road noise from the interstate and men up at 6am working on the property using power tools. Disappointed!!

We stayed in the Conestoga Wagon for two nights at the end of July. The wagon was comfortable and cool. I do wish a water spicket was available outside the wagon. The campground has lots of nice amenities such as pool, bounce house, fishing area, slide (although they never opened it which was disappointing). The bathrooms and all areas were very clean. My biggest complaint is the road noise.

The wifi didn't work at the cabin we were in. The shower had hair on the walls and floor and there was a used wash rag hanging on the shower handle. There was hair and toothpaste in the sink. There was dog hair under the kitchen table. I also had to clean everything I listed myself. No was available to clean. I got a 10% discount for my troubles. I think I should've gotten atleast half back.

Absolutely loved the unique treehouse (& wagons, wigwams)! But the prices to stay were exorbitant & exclude many from staying… Our treehouse had a sliding door that had been damaged & could only be locked with a stick in the frame… pool could have been nicer….my only other complaint is the short hours of the stay & only able to extend by paying extra. Mostly loved the treehouse though!

We took our five grandkids for a two night stay at the Horse Cave KOA. The first night we rented two covered wagons and the second night we rented a Tepee. The grandkids loved them both. This is such a nice campground and has the nicest bathhouse I have ever seen at a campground. It was a large building with like 10 separate rooms, each containing a shower, sink and toilet. Highly recommend

The covered wagon was an experience my daughter will never forget! The wagon was clean, roomy, and very comfortable despite the July heat. The campground overall was quiet and tidy and had lots of activities for kids to enjoy. She especially loved the pool and the jump pad. We will definitely be booking a night away at Horse Cave again soon!

We were only able to stay one night. We stayed in one of the covered wagons, it was wonderful! There was plenty for the children to do around the campground.

Cabin had cracked window and broken light fixture. We were only given 1 tiny bar of soap for hand washing and bathing. We were supposed to wash dishes we used but their was no dishwashing soap. I liked that they had free coffee or you could give a donation.

Overall experience and stay was very very nice. The team members were all very pleasant. The only downside was that we had thought there would be a grill for the fire pit so we could cook. We ended up going out to eat, so the bonus was getting to see more of the area. There was a coffee maker in the cabin, but no coffee. Luckily, we brought our own coffee so no worries there! Would stay here again

We stayed in the Treehouse and my family absolutely loved it! The treehouse was clean and spacious! Loved all the entertaining space below for evening campfires and dinner. We also loved the pool, putt putt and super slide. The only draw back on the treehouse was there were a handful of bugs that found their way in, but they were easy to eliminate.

Cabins were wonderful and the facilities available were great. Close proximity to Mammoth Cave. Was very convenient and would highly recommend.

Beds were hard and the air was hot in the cabins and the couch was very uncomfortable!! The place is nice to stay at.

Check in was great, the tree house was amazing. We had four adults and tree children (ages 6-2). We were a little worried about the loft area for the little ones. The railings seemed low. The kitchen and bathroom were supplied with everything we needed (a new can opener is needed). We are definitely considering staying in a KOA campground again soon. We may try a teepee or a covered wagon.

Overall, we loved it. Kids loved all the outdoors things. Adults loved the tree house and the kids having fun. Minor issues with air cooling in the lift, but nothing major.

Great trip. The bathrooms were amazing clean and private. Only complaint was regarding the ac in our wagon. The wagon was extremely warm. Making it very uncomfortable with the extreme heat. I reached out via email and was given a fan. Just feel like if it’s advertised as air conditioned it should be. Just because a ac is on doesn’t mean it works or is strong enough for the space.

We had a "Deluxe Cabin" and it had a full sized refrigerator and a microwave. No grill, no microwave dishes, very minimal on everything in the kitchen. Altho it says it sleeps 4, that is only if it's 2 small children. Bring extra towels. Theirs are about a large hand towel size. Sister was in a teepee and kitchen was even worse, but they had a grill. Cabin itself was very nice, but no hair dryer

We stayed in the Teepee and it was absolutely gorgeous! Close to the places we visited and nice amenities! My son left his favorite stuffed elephant behind and they took very good care of him til we could get back for him! B

Nice clean park. The Cabins are rustic and could use some upgrading. Need bigger fan in bedroom area. Air conditioner was nice in living area, but didn't reach the bedroom, especially if door was closed.

It was a really cool spot. Really close to mammoth caves. There were turkeys, ponies and a donkey ! There was also a great fishing pond. Over all a very beautiful site.

Visiting my nephew for a birthday party there. Nice camping sites. Pool well took care of and a fishing pond. I definitely recommend.

We didn't have a room because we were in our tent but they have some amazing looking teepees, and the conestoga wagons face a beautiful grassy valley with nice big decks out back. This is a really nice campground. All the showers are actually individual bathrooms so that was a really nice feature and they were super clean. We arrived after dark so I couldn't tell if any of the other empty tent sites were level. Ours wasn't super flat but we made do. Also, when you're picking your site for an RV or camper, there's some pull through right along the campground road where your table and fire pit basically sit next to the road. Maybe that's normal. I don't have a camper. And surprisingly the highway noise kept up all night long. My experience is that most KOAs we've ever stayed at are close to an interstate, but typically we don't notice the noise as much. This KOA campground was very well kept and I would definitely recommend it!
