Everything was great! The cabin I reserved had a strong smoke odor. It was no problem changing cabins. The gentleman who helped me upgraded me to a different cabin at no charge. He was very helpful and said he was sorry I had that experience. He could not have been any nicer!

This was my second stay here. Stayed in the covered wagons both times. Best experience. Amazingly roomy. Most comfortable king size bed! Relaxing environment, country stylish, so homey!

The wagon was great after we figured out the ac. Interstate road noise was somewhat disturbing. The view from the hilltop was very pretty. Loved all the different options of accommodations. Lots of fun activities for us & our grandkids. Friendly staff. Clean showers/restrooms. Very nice fire ring. Nice patio & has grill. Thanks for the memories!

We had the BEST time at KOA - we we're there to celebrate our grandson turning 9 and it did not disappoint!! The teepee was so much fun!!!! The outdoor spaces were amazing!!!!

The deluxe cabin was comfortable and equipped as described although the floors were dirty and needed mopped. I was told during my 3 day stay I only get one set of clean towels and to laundry them at the facility myself. The campground was kid friendly and safe. The big slide needs daily hrs as it was only open once and the kids loved the attraction. Staff was friendly and helpful.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We swap out towels if brought to the front desk. Slide is only open Thursday-Saturday 4pm-7pm sign is posted. Housekeeping staff cleans all units very well.

We had a really nice time! Lots of things to do and fun accomodations. Friendly staff. We would love to visit again and try out other accomodations, like the teepee. Opportunities for improvement: Clean outdoor area on treehouse cabins (mold on pillows), make sure all amenities functioning (jumping pillow n/a during our stay), air units need service (very full filters, leaking mini-split).

We over the campground, however, the covered wagons do need maintenance. The wood was rotten on the first wagon we were given, and my husband fell through the steps. The staff was great, and we were moved to a new wagon, but a lot of the wood was rotten and needs to be replaced/ maintained. The campground is beautiful and the bathrooms are very clean

Generally the stay was nice. There was a bit of an ant problem in the cabins and the WiFi was not working at all. Our stay was too hot to be outside and do any activities but we would have if it wasn’t 100 degrees outside.

We stayed in treehouse 1 . The floor was wet by the air conditioning unit because water was running down the wall from.the unit under the floorboards everytome you stepped over that way water came up. We called the front desk a guy came out tried to fix it made it worse water ran all night out of there. Had to put towels down it was not a pleasant experience for the amount of money we paid to sta

Property very nice. Stayed in TeePee2. Mouse infestation is very bad in TeePee. They ate quite a bit of our food we needed to destroy. Mice very active at night preventing any sleep. Grill in back was absolutely horrible. Grates rusted very badly, had to wrap in aluminum foil to use, needed lighter to ignite. For $300 per night, this should be in very high standards.

We stayed for one night, it was a cool experience. We had never been to a KOA before it was exceptionally a nice, quiet and clean facility. We stayed in one of the Teepee's what a cool place. Extremely close to all of the adventures in the area. Out child loved the jump pad and making new friends.

We stayed in one of the covered wagons. It was really comfortable and lots of space. When we first arrived it was very hot and we were unable to adjust the air conditioner. One of the staff members came and made the adjustments and it was comfortable afterwards. The shower house was extremely nice! I was impressed that the bathrooms were complete with shower/tub, sink, and toilet.

We had a wonderful time staying in the suite no.2. It was spacious, and laid out well. There were pots and pans in the cupboards which was a nice surprise. I couldn't however get the grill to work. The shower was nice after a long day.

Love the campground at Horse Cave. This was our 4th time to stay there. Love the teepee! Have 2 suggestions, please put a key holder by the door to hang key on to keep from loosing it. The other is the mini split unit worked great but need a fan in the bedrooms to help circulate air. It was a hot week when we were there but the air doesn’t flow to bedrooms with out a small fan to help.

My family stayed in the covered wagons and had a great time. The sites were very clean and the restrooms were very clean and easy to get to. The staff was also friendly and helpful if we had questions. I would recommend anyone to come stay here

The TV did not work during our entire stay. We don’t know whether it was Dish but we had no TV during our entire stay. Dish was sending a replacement box but that did not help us. There was no offer for a price reduction: we were told they did their job by reporting it to dish. We were very disappointed. Except for the TV issue, it was a well maintained campground.

This is one of the nicest KOAs my kids and I have ever stayed at. The bathrooms are amazing, the pool was so refreshing, the covered wagon was adorable and very comfortable. Most importantly though, the owner is absolutely lovely and she and her family are working hard to maintain this gorgeous KOA!

The teepee was clean and cozy. The small air conditioner is not big enough to cool the entire tee pee. The loft was extremely hot.

We had two issues. One was neighbor visibility. Our site was bedside another and they had no campsite etiquette (nothing the koa could do of course). They were yelling across our site to theirs. Main issue the dump site is at the front and one side is down so access to the other was difficult. The staff was friendly. The bathhouse was amazing however it was also at the front.

Having previously stayed in a covered wagon, this time we stayed in a treehouse. It was all we hoped it would be! They have added a lot of features for kids since two years ago. We are fairly new to KOA highly recommend them!

I brought my grandchildren to stay in a treehouse as a special birthday present but was extremely disappointed and frustrated by management. The propane for the grill was rusted out and empty - I was told I could get it filled at the truck stop down the road. The porch furniture was missing a cushion and the others were stained and disgusting. The fire pit was full of debris and water.

From the drive in to the drive out. Just hands down enjoyed it. Heck of a family outing/getaway. It's one of those Don't Wanna Leave Just Yet. We have a family of 4/ 2 kiddos one 8 & Other is 3. We rented the Treehouse 1 & along with Golf Kart for Momma knee sake. Kids enjoy all the things inside the treehouse to outside. Weather was perfect. If it wasn't for the ol'work life; stayed longer 4 sure

It was a really cool spot. Really close to mammoth caves. There were turkeys, ponies and a donkey ! There was also a great fishing pond. Over all a very beautiful site.

Visiting my nephew for a birthday party there. Nice camping sites. Pool well took care of and a fishing pond. I definitely recommend.

We didn't have a room because we were in our tent but they have some amazing looking teepees, and the conestoga wagons face a beautiful grassy valley with nice big decks out back. This is a really nice campground. All the showers are actually individual bathrooms so that was a really nice feature and they were super clean. We arrived after dark so I couldn't tell if any of the other empty tent sites were level. Ours wasn't super flat but we made do. Also, when you're picking your site for an RV or camper, there's some pull through right along the campground road where your table and fire pit basically sit next to the road. Maybe that's normal. I don't have a camper. And surprisingly the highway noise kept up all night long. My experience is that most KOAs we've ever stayed at are close to an interstate, but typically we don't notice the noise as much. This KOA campground was very well kept and I would definitely recommend it!
