The sites on the lower level for big rigs where not level The internet would connect and cut off just as fast Our location was right by the hwy traffic noise Could sleep that night so we moved out as soon as possible the next morning It was the worst KOA we ever stopped in

We will be back

Staff was amazing! Bathhouse was the best kept one I have ever used at a campground. I just wish bathhouse was open all night, still have to use bathroom at night time. Will definitely be back!

First time at a KOA. Very nice set up, the kids spent all their time at camp at the jump pillow/playground making core memories with the other kids. You’re close to highway but the sound never bothered us. Looking at other RV parks in the area we definitely picked the better park! Staff was nice. Slide was open one day but kids had a blast with that too!

Clean and friendly staff. Lots for kids to do. Nicest bathrooms I’ve seen at a campground!

It was a perfect stay! Weather was great! Shower house extremely clean!! We will return!!

Very limited activities for kids. We were told our site was shady and there was little shade only in the late afternoon. Most KOAs have lists of activities almost every weekend and you would think a holiday weekend they would have different things for them. We ended up leaving a day early because it was not the best KOA.

Staff was helpful and friendly! campground was well kept and clean, We stayed at lost 81 all gravel and extremely hard to get camper level!

The electric hook up was faulty at our site. So we were very frustrated. Other campers were having trouble with theirs also. Although the campgrounds was very clean it didn't offer the activities that other KOA do. The pool was small and the slide was not accessible. It said you couldn't slide without a staff member but there was never a staff member.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We spoke through email. The slide is open Thursday-Saturday (posted on web site also) If you had made us aware during your stay of the electric issue it could have been fixed right then. I am sorry you didn't like our pool size again picture on web site.

The deluxe cabin was comfortable and equipped as described although the floors were dirty and needed mopped. I was told during my 3 day stay I only get one set of clean towels and to laundry them at the facility myself. The campground was kid friendly and safe. The big slide needs daily hrs as it was only open once and the kids loved the attraction. Staff was friendly and helpful.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We swap out towels if brought to the front desk. Slide is only open Thursday-Saturday 4pm-7pm sign is posted. Housekeeping staff cleans all units very well.

Planned 5 nights with family. Was given site 91. It was 100ydss from I-65, which was our view, and the highway noise was so loud that we could not sit outside our RV and talk without raising our voices, and did not sleep. Left after one night. Asked for a refund for 2 of the 4 unused nights. But to date have not seen any refund. The amenities are nice, but do not overcome the freeway noise.

This is a very nice campground! This would be great for families with kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

This is an outstanding KOA and in a great area with lots to do in the area, very nice staff, well maintained and very easy access. The only issue is, it's difficult to level big rigs. Most of the sites are gravel and on hills. I would have easily given them 6s on a 1 - 5 scale if it hadn't been for this. We actually had to move 3 times and manually level the coach in the end. Great location.

We had a really nice time! Lots of things to do and fun accomodations. Friendly staff. We would love to visit again and try out other accomodations, like the teepee. Opportunities for improvement: Clean outdoor area on treehouse cabins (mold on pillows), make sure all amenities functioning (jumping pillow n/a during our stay), air units need service (very full filters, leaking mini-split).

Friendly staff that were helpful Good shower and restrooms. Poor. Entrance and exit layout. Poor. Only 1 of 4 dryers operating.

Great location, great back range views. Best washrooms of any KOA that I have visited.

It was great! Clean , spacious and friendly

It’s a very nice campsite on the hill. Little bit unlevel, but we were able to make adjustments. Camp bathrooms are wonderful. The bathroom/shower accommodations are private. And very clean.

Horse Cave KOA is great! We came to see Mammoth Cave (which is amazing...only ~20 min away), but a staff member suggested Hidden River Cave (~10 min); it turned out to be the highlight of our trip! Campground itself is everything you'd expect from KOA, lots of stuff for the kids (playground, GIANT SLIDE), spacious sites, great rates, & friendly staff. Only complaint is lack of shade at some sites.

Beautiful views abd friendly staff. Really like the bathroom /shower suites.

We have been to several campgrounds during our visit to SD, and I will say, you KOA had the best bathroom and campgrounds. We will definitely be back.

Had a wonderful weekend!

The payment was broken in lot places. The slide closed doing the weekend, The dumped station eas backwards on making it difficult to dump on the way out. The place was very dark after sunset needs more lights

We over the campground, however, the covered wagons do need maintenance. The wood was rotten on the first wagon we were given, and my husband fell through the steps. The staff was great, and we were moved to a new wagon, but a lot of the wood was rotten and needs to be replaced/ maintained. The campground is beautiful and the bathrooms are very clean

Generally the stay was nice. There was a bit of an ant problem in the cabins and the WiFi was not working at all. Our stay was too hot to be outside and do any activities but we would have if it wasn’t 100 degrees outside.

First, to say the welcome was lukewarm is a complete overstatement. Second, when you book for more than one night in a campground that’s completely empty just maybe an upgrade offer to a quieter shady site is in order. I’d even pay the difference. Instead we’re put in a gravel pit next to the interstate. I’m already looking to cancel my next two bookings in SD and MN in September. Disappoi

We stayed in treehouse 1 . The floor was wet by the air conditioning unit because water was running down the wall from.the unit under the floorboards everytome you stepped over that way water came up. We called the front desk a guy came out tried to fix it made it worse water ran all night out of there. Had to put towels down it was not a pleasant experience for the amount of money we paid to sta

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We addressed the issue. Things are out of our control but our job to address and fix it in which we did.

Our campsite was not a campsite. It was a parking spot! Our steps were literally on the road. When I booked, it said only 1 spot left that will fit our camper. I saw at LEAST 6 spots where we could have easily fit in that were much better, and nobody stayed there the 4 days we were there. Very disorganized to say the least.

Super nice shaded spot on level concrete pad site 9 was great. Staff was extremely friendly an accommodating very convenient location to a lot of activities. We will be back

Beautiful campground! Leveling may be a challenge but can be accomplished. The staff was very helpful in moving us to a site with more room. Some sites are huge! The view over the valley yielded some great sunset pictures. Defiantly consider a water/electric spot for a short stay as they have great room and privacy.

Fantastic KOA! We love caves and cave tours, and this was a great campground to explore this cave-rich area. The KOA is clean, quiet, staffed by friendly people, and park-like for strolling around with the dog. We only wish we’d had more time here! We will definitely come back. It’s the perfect place for a fun weekend getaway!

It was a really cool spot. Really close to mammoth caves. There were turkeys, ponies and a donkey ! There was also a great fishing pond. Over all a very beautiful site.

We didn't have a room because we were in our tent but they have some amazing looking teepees, and the conestoga wagons face a beautiful grassy valley with nice big decks out back. This is a really nice campground. All the showers are actually individual bathrooms so that was a really nice feature and they were super clean. We arrived after dark so I couldn't tell if any of the other empty tent sites were level. Ours wasn't super flat but we made do. Also, when you're picking your site for an RV or camper, there's some pull through right along the campground road where your table and fire pit basically sit next to the road. Maybe that's normal. I don't have a camper. And surprisingly the highway noise kept up all night long. My experience is that most KOAs we've ever stayed at are close to an interstate, but typically we don't notice the noise as much. This KOA campground was very well kept and I would definitely recommend it!
