Friendly welcome; good location Next time, I will select my site. We were placed on a site that was slanted causing us to be in an awkward position - the front end of rig sitting VERY low to ground with tail end up. Site had not been cleaned before we arrived ( paper towels, rags, cigarette butts all over the site.

Great location, nice facilities, well maintained. I have just one complaint- the camp store. It was supposed to be open starting at 8:00 a.m. but never was. I stopped there every morning on my way out of camp to buy coffee and a bag of ice but was frustrated every time. You should change posted hours you cannot staff the store.

Reserved site was being used and I still was charged the fee. Sites were not level and difficult. Management was rude and unhelpful. Power and water were out for a bit. It is a franchise, so corporate will not help.

Had problem with no power to our camper. We called a mobile RV tech to come out. It was an emergency call, after hours and cost $823 to be told the 50 amp leg on the campground pedestal was bad. Reported to manager the following day. She was irate that we had someone check her pedestal. Told me no one else complained. Duh…they must have had 30 amp. Refused to refund and never sent Maintenance.

Mr. Hill I am sorry this was your experience, you should have called our emergency line that is posted by main office door, on our phone recording as well as the site map you received. Our certified electrician was sent down not maintenance to replace the 50amp breaker that went bad.

Small KOA situated on very hilly slopes. Roads are wide & asphalted into KOA as well as leading to RV sites. This KOA has a wide variety of lodging including 2 treehouses, 4 caravans, 2 teepees, & several cabins. Only 1 pull thru 50 amp site that is top of a slope in front of KOA entrance. Treehouses have 2 bedrooms plus full bath as well as their Teepees. Not much trees to prevent satellite.

Extremely disappointed that the pool was not properly maintained. The pool had to be drained after turning green. We were not offered any discount despite this being one of the reasons we chose to stay here.

The best thing i could say about Horse Cave KOA is that they have mostly clean bathrooms. I had 2 tent sites (T20 & T21), that should not be tent sites. They are nothing but tree roots and rocks. There are no grass pad for tents on those sites.. Once you get past that problem, those sites are on a hill! The pool was greenish, drained on our last day. The putt putt golf was also a joke.

We stayed in the little camping cabin and it was adorable. Clean, air conditioned, and conveniently located. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also the slide, pool, and jumping “pillow” were a big hit for us. Just a quick drive to the caves and lots of places to eat nearby. FWIW highway noise was not an issue for us at all.

This is the best KOA I have ever stayed at. The entire campground was immaculate. The bathrooms were beautiful and clean! The staff was wonderful. I definitely would stay here again.

It was very joyful and pleasant my grandson and I had a great time the cabin was very clean we will definitely recommend the camp ground to other people and we will be back again next season

We loved our stay in the deluxe cabin. My 12 year old son enjoyed doing things around the campground. We will definitely be back. Only issue we had was the cabin could have been a little cleaner.

Our stay was short but sweet! The staff are helpful and friendly. The boys enjoyed many of the amenities… the pool and fishing were favorites. Our cabin was clean and had all the essential supplies.

Our wagon had a little patio with seating and a nice view right outside the front door but it was covered, not just sprinkled, with smelly, damp grass clippings from a lawn mower.

This was our first time camping and we had a great experience. Friendly staff and plenty of things to do. Private bathing facilities were clean and a great bonus.

The website said there was a gas grill, I asked the woman at the front desk and she said" that's not on the website ". The pool was closed 3 days of our stay. I would not recommend this place. The " slide" was open 1/2 day the whole stay. There was no dish soap, hand soap, 1 dish towel. We will NOT be staying there or recommending it to anyone.

I am sorry for the inconvenience. The deluxe duplex has gas grills. The pool was closed one day for a pump repair. The slide is listed on web site Thursday-Saturday 4-7. Your dish soap etc... was under the kitchen sick.

Overnight stay so not enough time to adequately evaluate, but I had to change date of arrival & staff was accommodating. Many different options if not staying in an RV. Would stay again if travel in the area. Clean.

Very nice facility. My wife especially liked the individual bathrooms. We had a reservation and were expected, so check in was quick and easy.

All was good. We had to leave a day early due to a death in the family, it would have been nice for a partial refund since we had to leave early. Otherwise, we will go back.

Very nice KOA, large sites, we even parked our two RVs on one of the sites to make buddy sites with plenty of room! Bathroom facilities were large and nice. Lots of things for kids to play and do. Close to Mammoth Caves and other local cave exploring sites!

Campground was conveniently located. We got a deluxe cabin. It was nice and clean. We checked in around 1pm, the cabin was hot, we turned on the AC and then went to explore the area. We got back a few minutes after the office closed and it was still really hot. The ac wasn't working. I had to go out and buy 2 fans to even sleep. It was a rough night and disappointing for the price we paid.

I have never stayed in such a beautifully laid out campground. The lots are SPACIOUS!!!!! Absolutely lovely. We did have a leaky water faucet on 85, and I did report it, but saw not much difference after. It certainly was not critical for my stay, but might be for your water usage. :-)

We have stayed at the Horse Cave KOA twice on our travels from Ohio to Texas. We enjoyed each time there and plan to stay again in the future. This KOA is clean and welcoming with wonderful amenities for families and children! Thank you for providing such a nice place to stay on our long drives.

I would advise that anyone with a camper longer than 30-35 feet not stay here. Site 45 is a pull-through; you have to go over a curve to get in and out. There is also a sewer vent under the fire pit; it was above ground, 4 inches. Site 45 is where the water runs down; they filled in a 6" ditch so we could pull out, but we still backed out due to the pipe. Nice place otherwise.

We stayed a night in the Oregon Trail Wagon and we had a wonderful time. The wagon was super spacious and the AC worked great even in the July heat. The bathhouse was clean and the bathrooms spacious. Wonderful stay for us

Our family absolutely loved our stay at Horse Cave KOA! As parents of energetic young twin boys, finding a campground that truly keeps everyone happy isn’t always easy but this place exceeded our expectations. The campground is clean and maintained, but our site was all gravel and uneven. The jump pillow wasn’t inflated, and also the view and sound of the highway isn’t very appealing when camping.

I haven't been to a campground with 10 individual bathrooms until this one. The campground was clean, wood available for purchase anytime, pool was warm and 24 hour laundry room that we took advantage of. This was a great stop in KY for our Mammoth Cave trip!

It is a great location for visiting Mammoth Cave. The staff is friendly and the sites kept clean. This KOA has some of the best bath facilities we have seen. The noise from the nearby highway was much louder than we were expecting but not a deal breaker for staying again.

Really nice KOA, the bathrooms were lovely and super close to the cabin I rented. Breathtaking views across farm fields to the west. The highway is audible but not so loud we couldn't sleep.

Yall, the campground is nice! Not too big, only a few tent sites which is how I stayed, but plenty of RV sites, as well as the teepee and covered wagon sites. I didnt see the primitive cabins, but the treehouse cabins looked nice!! The bathrooms are so so nice for a campground!! That was the part I was most worried about in booking here, as I couldn't find much info about them, but rest assured, they are superb and clean and heated, which was really nice since it got down to 38° the nights we stayed, and thats a little chilly in a tent 😅 so it was nice to be able to warm up in a clean and warm shower ! Overall, definitely recommend the place:)
