Campground Reviews

This site was great, we loved it and the owners/workers were so nice. We definitely want to be back

Staff very friendly, clean restrooms and areas. We love this campground

Bathroom facilities were most impressive. Loved having a private stall that was clean and maintained. Our campsites were in the 30 amp section and they were sloped quite a bit. Quite uncomfortable to sleep and awkward stepping in and out of the camper that off level. Recommend booking a site in a different section or only tent camping in that section.

Very friendly staff, awesome bathrooms and excellent location. Some of the drive through sites are problematic with not being the traditional side by side style. We were fortunate enough to have cooperative campers that pulled their camper far enough away to allow us to hook up upon departure. I would recommend a call to make reservations if considering a pull through to avoid potential issues.

Was great!

Great campground! Awesome individual showers and restrooms-felt like you were visiting a spa! Great pool and other kids activities available to use. Very clean. Friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this campground to others.

So lovely. Terraced with beautiful views. Farm animals on site. Super fun amenities for kids! Amazingly friendly staff. Would stay here again & again!

The vacation rental was definitely worth it!

Great large sites.

Great campground near Mammoth Cave NP without being in the middle of the tourist industry at the edges of the park. Some nice road-parallel pull throughs, lots of trees, beautiful views. The best variety of non-camping ways to stay I’ve ever seen and plenty of fun activities for kids. Highly recommended campground.

The pull-through site we selected, without much website description, was at the bottom of a large hill, in a barren rock area...not comfortable or attractive at all. Our kids, and us (parents), were very disappointed that the super mega slide was only staffed one time, for an hour or so, during our entire four-night stay. There are too few trash cans, which made taking off trash a long walk.

No complaints other than being so close to the interstate and the noise

We were traveling with a 9 year old boy and 11 year old boy, and the covered wagon was a real treat! They loved the bunk bed, and I loved the Keurig coffeemaker. The bath house was clean but there wasn’t a soap dispenser in the shower. There seemed to be a lot of activities that our grandsons would have enjoyed but we arrived late and left early. We’ll have to come back! Check-in was easy, to

Very nice. Lots of things to do. Restrooms were clean and individual with showers in each one.

Wonderful!

We will definitely be back. Wonderful experience. My only gripe is the sewage access pipes stood pretty high so there was a bit of finagling to get our hose drain properly.
Aug 05, 2024
I really liked this campground, the sites were spacious. The only problem was the broken concrete on the pool ladder, my kids kept getting scratched on thy.
Aug 05, 2024
With the exception of very poor internet reception our stay was wonderful. Very kid friendly and willing to help staff. Love the other visiting campers

Exceptional, from pleasant young lady when we checked in, spotless Teepee inclusive of all one needs, location and enough spaces between campers etc. Brought directory book home yo select future stays I grew up camping at KOA’s with family travels throughout the US and Canada. Mede me feel 10 years old again

Very disappointed with the pull through site that I had. To short for my rv and tow dolly and I expect that it would be level but alas it was so far off it was impossible to get level. I love KOA but they need to step up there game a little.
Aug 04, 2024
It was a nice campground, but just one for you to stay at while passing through. I didn’t like that you can see the highway and hear it. There was never anyone available to attend the slide, which is such a waste. Maybe having guests sign a waiver to use the slide at their own risk. More steps to the play area (on both sides)

Pleasant front desk. Covered wagon was a unique accommodation - great view and nice set up. Every bathroom stall had some issue almost every time we went. Pool could use a new filter. Neighbors raced UTVs up the drive at night. Grill igniter was broken. The worst part was coming back to find someone in our wagon - pest person came in to spray without any notice and with all of our stuff inside

belle endroit, bien entretenue seul note négative, très près de l’autoroute
Aug 03, 2024
Sites are not level. To much hiway noise , it never stops. No place to ride a bike. No TV or radio signals. To noisy to sit outside or sleep. Pool was nice but it was dirty. Personal was very nice ,grounds were maintained good. Could not relax or sleep because of noise. Symphony of semi's was real bad. No level sites as requested.

The bathrooms were extremely nice and a lot of them. Lots of things to do for the kids. Close to attractions
Aug 03, 2024
Super clean & friendly staff! Pool, laundry room & property well maintained. The bathrooms are AMAZING!!!! Love the individual rooms with toilet/sink/shower. Close to Mammoth Cave which was convenient. Thanks for the great stay!

Okay campground, especially if you’re travel I-65. That being said, the road noise from the interstate was loud and relentless.
Aug 01, 2024
The bath house was disgusting!! The trash was always full, no toilet tissue in several stalls, no paper towels either, the drains covered in hair, feces on the toilets, and the sinks were just as gross. 2 men smoking constantly the last night we were there in the bathhouse. There was constant road noise from the interstate and men up at 6am working on the property using power tools. Disappointed!!

Everyone was wonderful. However, the pull in site was extremely small, cannot pull out my awning without it being in the street. Would not recommend this to someone that wanted to enjoy camping

Very clean and quiet. Unique place. My family was impressed.

We stayed in the Conestoga Wagon for two nights at the end of July. The wagon was comfortable and cool. I do wish a water spicket was available outside the wagon. The campground has lots of nice amenities such as pool, bounce house, fishing area, slide (although they never opened it which was disappointing). The bathrooms and all areas were very clean. My biggest complaint is the road noise.

Our family stayed in 3 of the covered wagons. They were wonderful! We truly enjoyed our stay!

We were very happy with our stay! The price was very reasonable. Our spot was perfectly level and clean and large! The restrooms were the kind we like with toilets in showers in same room. We were across from the horse and turkeys so a nice spot to sit and watch them. People complained about road noise, yes it was there but did not take away from our stay. We highly recommend this KOA!

Wonderful experience! I stayed in spot 87 for 4 days. It was a very clean camp with all kinds of variety of camping spots. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is right on the interstate, and that noise wasn't the most peaceful. There were a ton of things for families to do. There was a pool, playground, pond, dog parks, etc. The wagon tents and tree houses were super cool!
Jul 29, 2024
It was very nice place and clean

Very nice

Staff was nice. Bathrooms needed more attention, more often. Store was low/out of alot. Nice campground, just needs some tlc.

Very clean facility an friendly staff

The wifi didn't work at the cabin we were in. The shower had hair on the walls and floor and there was a used wash rag hanging on the shower handle. There was hair and toothpaste in the sink. There was dog hair under the kitchen table. I also had to clean everything I listed myself. No was available to clean. I got a 10% discount for my troubles. I think I should've gotten atleast half back.

Absolutely loved the unique treehouse (& wagons, wigwams)! But the prices to stay were exorbitant & exclude many from staying… Our treehouse had a sliding door that had been damaged & could only be locked with a stick in the frame… pool could have been nicer….my only other complaint is the short hours of the stay & only able to extend by paying extra. Mostly loved the treehouse though!

It was a really cool spot. Really close to mammoth caves. There were turkeys, ponies and a donkey ! There was also a great fishing pond. Over all a very beautiful site.

We didn't have a room because we were in our tent but they have some amazing looking teepees, and the conestoga wagons face a beautiful grassy valley with nice big decks out back. This is a really nice campground. All the showers are actually individual bathrooms so that was a really nice feature and they were super clean. We arrived after dark so I couldn't tell if any of the other empty tent sites were level. Ours wasn't super flat but we made do. Also, when you're picking your site for an RV or camper, there's some pull through right along the campground road where your table and fire pit basically sit next to the road. Maybe that's normal. I don't have a camper. And surprisingly the highway noise kept up all night long. My experience is that most KOAs we've ever stayed at are close to an interstate, but typically we don't notice the noise as much. This KOA campground was very well kept and I would definitely recommend it!
