Campground Reviews

Showers are fantastic! Please continue to do a great job with them. As others have said, I had a very difficult time leveling the rv. Sites need work in that aspect. Also, due to te convenience of being right off the interstate, the truck noise is present. Close drive to all area attractions.

Very nice and clean campground. The only problem is sites make it hard to level your camper because of the slope that the sights are on

Great camp ground. Very nice cabin. Very friendly employees.

No issues other than the weather . Everything was great.

Was surprised that a premium site did not have sewer on site. Also on the premium meadow view (beautiful btw) has only electric and water on the wrong side. Power and water barely reached. The sewer dump site on departure is also on the wrong side of a class A RV

The bathrooms were one of the best we have ever used in a campground. Everything was spotless and convenient.

Great people and sites!

The main issue with this campground is the dump station is almost unusable. Otherwise a nice campground by the Interstate.

The facilities were clean and the kids enjoyed the park and park. Staff was nice. Our campsite was barren. No trees no shade and the fire pit had a hole in it. The location of the campground is so close to the truck stop it was so loud day and night. Engine breaking and trucks running.

Plenty to do for the kids and whole family. We will be back!

Gravel parking lot. Little grass. Not my favorite.

I love the bathrooms! You have your very own private room wth a sink and BATH TUB!! We are full time RVs so this was a surprise, we have visited over 20 KOAs all over the US never had a tub. The only thing we did not like and why we used the bathrooms there was because our sewer was up to high to drain. Booooo bad design. Free fishing was nice, close to all the caves! Very clean.

The only thing I would say was disappointing was that the map showing our site number was deceitful. It was nothing more than a pull off. On the map it looks like a half moon shape which is why we booked it & paid the extra to secure the site we wanted. Otherwise a nice stay since we were only there to sleep.

Our campsite was under trees that had heavy sticky sap which was on the picnic table and chairs so we couldn't even sit out on them. Would have been good if they had cleaned that off prior to our arrival. I would request a different site next time. The pool seemed as if it needed to be cleaned and chlorinated; it was a bit cloudy. The staff was very friendly.

We love to stay here .. we meet family to camp. This last stay was not as good as normal. The pool was dirty and no WiFi .

Our site was a full hookup site, but it seemed like an overflow parking lot turned into campsites. All gravel, with no shade. Also, the sewer hookup runs uphill if your camper has a rear bathroom design like ours. The proximity to I-65 is a blessing and a curse since these sites about 200 yds from the interstate. But for ease of access to the National Park it is very close.

We stayed in Treehouse 1. The space was perfect for our family of six. The patio underneath treehouse with fire pit was great for roasting marshmallows. The deck was very spacious and a great sitting place. The view of the field with lavender was so beautiful. We watched baby deer play in the field. The kids loved it and are ready to stay in treehouse 2 next time. Highly recommend!! Friendly staff

Neilux was very helpful and we appreciate the time and effort he took to help us

Stayed two nights at this KOA. Toured Mammoth Cave. This was an easy in/easy out for our 35 ft 6th wheel.

Nice folks at the front desk. Readily changed our sites since they were on a gravel lot with no trees - hot & bleak. Very few RV sites had shade. Outstanding bathrooms & close to Mammoth Cave Nt Park.

The campground was large and the kids area and pool was great. The campsites were the problems. They all sloped downhill so much my front landing legs were all the way retracted. I was afraid my camper was going to roll downhill when I unhooked it. The Wi-Fi was weak. I had to turn it off on my phone and use data to search for anything. 4 PBS stations was all you could watch. unable to stream tv

Few trees. The picture on the website shows lots of trees. Young man at checkin was very helpful helping us find a pizza restaurant so that we could celebrate a birthday. Incredibly clean bathrooms with air conditioning.

The property is great! Lots of fun activities for kids, staff was friendly. Love that they come around and pick up your trash so you're not walking to a dumpster yourself. Only complaint would be the highway noise was a bit louder than expected, but it wasn't like there were ton's of sirens or honking..we still had a great stay and will definitely be back.

Pull through full hook up sites are on a hill and right next to interstate. We had to move to a pull through site with no sewer in order to unhitch. Other sites can be difficult to maneuver in and out of if occupied. Otherwise it is a clean and beautiful setting.

Nice concrete pad with full hookups. We travel with 2 small dogs. There was plenty of grassy areas to walk them. We didn't use the dog yard but didn't need to. Campsite was clean and level. Firepit was available as was firewood for sale. Very close to Mammoth Cave which is why we stayed there. Would stay again if in the area.

Overall well maintained campground. Clean grounds, great bathrooms. But the highway noise just made it unpleasant. Sleeping in a tent was noisy, and the distance to the bathrooms was a long walk.

This KOA was very well maintained, clean, and had a lot of great amenities. The children loved the playground and bouncing pillow. The staff was super friendly. The store had the essentials. The bathrooms were excellent and consisted of individual rooms instead of groups of showers. Pick shaded spots during the summer. If you stay near the barn, the 2 turkeys will likely approach your site.

It is beautiful and the showers and bathrooms are very clean! When we pulled into our site there were dirty rubber gloves on the ground and our fire pit had cigarette boxes and some kind of nasty paper towels rolled up in it. My husband and I actually moved it off our sit because it was so nasty . The dog park was nice but there was no bags etc… and no shade at all.

We just bought our first RV In Alabama so this was our first stay with it at your campground. Since we flew we couldn't pack anything. I was pleasantly surprised to find coffee and toiletries in the camp store. Everything went smoothly! Looking forward to more KOA stays.

All sites extremely unlevel. All leaning toward highway by ALOT. Tried 2 different sites and ended up going to Walmart to buy more leveling blocks. Highway noise is very loud. German roaches around sewer line, then inside. Had to completely unload and spray when we got home. Lots of sap from tree over us. Couldn’t use table or chairs provided because of stickiness.

Just a quick overnight in and out while passing through.

Very nice view of the meadow. Staff was nice and facilities were clean!

Wonderful campground, lots of things to do for kids and adults. The various rental cabins/teepees/camp wagons are amazing. Each comes with private patios, gas bbq grills, table and chairs. The central bathrooms are huge individual complete bathrooms that rival a 4star hotel! As for rv spaces, most are spacious but a challenge to get your rig level.

Extremely well maintained park. The property is large, grass open land mowed, bathrooms are spotless. I wish the park offered cable tv as we has poor over the air signal.

My only complaint was when booking my site, I chose the site that was a full hook and closest to the pool, it listed only 1 site available, the site number was 83, I didn’t pay the extra fee, it said it was the only site available. When we arrived we were assigned a different site ( far from the pool, gravel, ) nothing that fit the description of a premium site . Disappointed with booking

We stayed in a covered wagon. We were so excited & this didn't disappoint. Not only was it amazing with a beautiful view & wonderful accommodations, but the private shower rooms were clean & the best I've ever had at any campground! There are so many fun activities with the pool, bounce pillow, and mini golf. There is only one downside- being right on the interstate & noise BUT GREAT PLACE!

The staff was so sweet. The location is great. The campground is quiet and has some great amenities. The campground was clean and well maintained. Our only complaint was the entire time we were there, no poop bags were available in the dog park. We did inform the staff but there were any stocked after.

Sites are uneven, park was not well cared for, highway noise was horrible. The large slide never had attendant present to even use. Pool was not heated and not very clean, cloudy water. No activities going on to partake in. Loved horse cave disliked this KOA, which is unfortunate as we have loved others.

It was a really cool spot. Really close to mammoth caves. There were turkeys, ponies and a donkey ! There was also a great fishing pond. Over all a very beautiful site.

We didn't have a room because we were in our tent but they have some amazing looking teepees, and the conestoga wagons face a beautiful grassy valley with nice big decks out back. This is a really nice campground. All the showers are actually individual bathrooms so that was a really nice feature and they were super clean. We arrived after dark so I couldn't tell if any of the other empty tent sites were level. Ours wasn't super flat but we made do. Also, when you're picking your site for an RV or camper, there's some pull through right along the campground road where your table and fire pit basically sit next to the road. Maybe that's normal. I don't have a camper. And surprisingly the highway noise kept up all night long. My experience is that most KOAs we've ever stayed at are close to an interstate, but typically we don't notice the noise as much. This KOA campground was very well kept and I would definitely recommend it!
