The location of the campground and the amenities made us choose this particular KOA. We went on day excursion for sightseeing. Our spot was the perfect size but I was looking at piles of debris/garbage (not household garbage). One of the debris/garbage piles must have been burned and the smell of it drifted over to our site, so not so pleasant.

Friendly staff, clean spaces and it was quiet. The only negative is that the pull throughs are a little pricey.

Sites are ok, but wet weather makes the sites quite muddy, having your neighbors fire pit and sewer so close to picnic table and camper was my biggest dissatisfaction . Easy pull thrus

All the staff very helpful and friendly. Check in was easy. Maintenance was doing grounds work and keeping place clean. The power pedestal, water spigot, and sewer connection well maintained. The water spigot was wrapped for winter. I got a propane tank filled. Easy and quick process and at a very reasonable cost. If traveling in the area I would stay again.

We’ve stayed at many KOA’s and have had great experiences. However, at this KOA, the person at the front desk, whose name is “Lynn” was so unfriendly and not very welcoming. When I first walked in, the place smelled really bad and “Lynn” had an attitude. She didn’t take the time to go over some things that many other KOA’s do. Campsites and drive aisles could use additional gravel and general maintenance. Staff was friendly, but upon arrival there was one person to check in campers and assist people with in store purchases. bathrooms were clean. This KOA appeared to have multiple construction and renovation projects in progress or unfinished. Convienent location for stay during travel or visiting Petrified Forest.

Maintenance on gravel sites is a must. Apparently the sites have been muddy, and with the lack of gravel this is an accident waiting to happen. There is no gravel. Tire ruts and boot tracks have made deep indentations and are now dried solid with not one flat area. Roll out the sites and bring in the gravel as advertised and what we are paying for!

We were there the day after a snow/rain event, so there was quite a bit of mud. They have small sites, but the overall appearance of the campground seemed well kept. We did not use any of the facilities or go to the breakfast/dinner opportunities. It was a good location for the Petrified Forest NP and Painted Desert!

Stayed on Easter night. Arr 330pm, office closed. Had issue with water hookup. Left 3 messages no response. Rtn next am, got deer in headlights look from mgr about not responding to my messages. Gave me a $10 refund for site without water hookup when I reserved full hookup. Camp extremely wet, not enough gravel for drainage. Won't be back. Check out other campgrounds in town, they looked OK.

The campground is kept clean, all the hookups worked well. Each site has a picnic table, and we had an end site (#41) with a nice tree and a bit more space. It would be helpful if the website and brochure stated when the pool was open as well as the camp breakfast. It would also help if the office staff knew site sizes, so RVs could fit into their sites and not have to ask to be relocated.

Shower was just ok, bathroom was clean enough. Office closed at 6:00. I wanted to do wash and had to wait till morning to get quarters. Our sewer hook up would not open for us to hook up. Kind of run down in my opinion. Hosts were nice enough

I was given site 10, right after a rain. There was an inch of mud around the utilities. The site directly next door has no one in it and had water elsewhere, but no.mud around the utilities. You could have checked before giving it to me. I was parked and unhooked before I noticed it

Unfortunately, the person before us left dog droppings including a bag full on the table. Also it was quite muddy, but understand it had rained. But perhaps more gravel would help

Highly recommend. Unplanned stop during snow storm on I-40. Good KOA. Greatr/helpful staff. Sp. #87 - level, long and wide. All utilities worked fine. Did not use facilities.

The campground is great. It wasn't fun contenting with the very wet, very heavy snow that started just before pulling in and lasted most of the night. Despite that, with less snow involved, would go back again.

We were only there one night, but it was a really nice RV park that was clean and well maintained. The cabins looked like they would be fun to stay in. We were in our van. Nice place!

Being without Internet for three days in a row was a major inconvenience, given that the cellular data connection to AT&T was also at a very low bit rate. Those of us traveling for long duration have to be able to stay connected. Otherwise, the campground was very nice and well cared for.

Site was clean and big enough. Close to freeway, so you may hear traffic at night. Women's bathroom was okay, but men's bathroom stunk.
