Great stay, just passing through for 1 night. Late check in was nice, easy to navigate at night. Cabin was clean and ready for me and my 2 doggies. No complaints, very nice koa.

Came in after dark, very easy check in, got an XL site which fit our 40 ft plus toad. Site was clean, utilities well kept. Woke up the next morning and the park was very nice, very clean. Would come back for sure!

Please advise guests that the "wifi" will not be strong enough for any devices to work. Holbrook was honest enough to say theirs would not stream devices.

Nice stay, nothing great. Dirt roads need work, holes with mud.

Don’t stay more than 2days! After seeing the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert, there is nothing to do. The WiFi and internet at the park were virtually not working. Very frustrating. One guy had to do his work in the bathroom to get any kind of signal!

We always enjoy this campground.

We arrived late and left early due to travel needs, but the place was JUST what we needed. Dog friendly, clean and with nice amenities. We WILL stay here again if in the area.

We were traveling through so we were only there for 1 night. The campground is very nice but very dark. If you want to take your dog out make sure you bring a flashlight.

The cabins with the bathrooms are the best idea ever!

Quiet and peaceful

Staff from greeting at sign in and daily site workers were all very friendly and eager to help. Great location for Petrified Forest @ Painted Desert. If you are a Eagels Fan Winslow Is a short drive to stand on the corner.

Very nice people, very clean property!

The KOA served its purpose for a one nite stay. However, we arrived after a rain event and it was extremely muddy. I almost got my rig stuck in the suggested turnaround area. Thankfully with 4wd, I was able to power on through. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Very good customer service. Clean. Friendly.

This was the cleanest, neatest KOA we’ve ever stayed at. Sites were huge, with most having evergreen trees between for privacy. The campground wasn’t full, so they spread everyone one out - we had no neighbors. So often it seems like they try to cram everyone in a couple of rows. Bathrooms and everything else was very clean, maybe a bit dated. Laundry was new and modern, reasonably priced.

They had a very nice chuck wagon dinner. We sat outside by the petrified rock, and thoroughly enjoyed our hamburgers. We could have gotten steaks. The whole campground was friendly and setup well. Thank you

Beautiful campground and well maintained

No issues with stay or location. My issues are with online booking that says “only 1 spot left” then you arrive and every spot is open. I was only offered a “super” tent spot (because it costs more) and $38 is ridiculous for either a regular or super spot. I don’t usually stay at KOAs as the prices are double the others and I don’t use the amenities so seems like a waste of money to me

Great facilities!

We stayed only one night while passing through Holbrook and we stayed in site #60, this site I think is one of the best sites there. The park is close to the interstate however we didn’t notice much road noise and watching the trucks on the interstate was very enjoyable and interesting to watch.

Staff was great. From what I understand they received a significant amount of their annual rainfall the day before we arrived. The campground wasn’t designed for that much rain. Probably because it doesn’t happen often. They worked with us to get a safe site for our 1 night. I’m probably going to be there again when it’s hot and dry.

Very easy after hour check-in. Nice cabin with a separate, private bath. Comfortable bed. Mini fridge and microwave. In wall AC/heater and separate, portable heater in the bathroom. Comfortable, dog friendly stay. Will be staying again soon. Really enjoy the KOA campgrounds.

We rented a cabin and we're pleasantly surprised to find a beautifully appointed bathroom which is unusual for KOA cabins. The park itself was pretty and clean. The chuckwagon style meals served we're very good. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed here for a week. The campground is on the northeast end of Holbrook. There are two parallel one-way entrances lanes to the campground: use the right lane to pull up next to the office and check in. Except for four back-in sites that seem to belong to longer-term residents, all of the RV sites are pull-throughs with gravel pads, gravel yards and picnic tables. Most sites have full-hookups as well as cable connections: a very few have just water and electric (and cable), while the sites marked on the map as being extra long might not have cable. Individual site amenities vary a great deal. Some sites have waist-high pine trees along the border, some have fences between sites, and some have adjacent tree (all sites are open to the sky, though) Some sites have patios that simply have chairs; others come with a gas-powered grill. A few patio and patio-free sites have a pergola, and some sites have small dog pens. Site 66 (likely because the campground is just off of old Route 66) is the ultimate site with a large patio area with a grill and pergola surrounded by a privacy fence. There are also a number of tent and cabin sites. We stayed in site 50, which was the last site on the east end of our row. All east end sites have a tall fence wall on the right side of the site, likely to block some of the light and sound from I-40 across the way. Our site wasn't long enough to fit our 21-foot truck and 37-foot fifth wheel front to back, but it was a designated wide site so we easily fit our truck between the camper and the fence. Our site was level, and the hookups were all near the back. The office building has a decent-sized souvenir and convenience store, with a laundry room located on the side of the building and bathrooms located in the back. There is a large playground on the west side of the office with a single basketball hoop and horseshoe pit, and beyond that is the swimming pool. Across from the office is the propane refill station, the dump station, and a communal area with a large petrified log and a small walk-up restaurant where they serve pancakes and host cowboy cookouts in season. There is also a second bathhouse at the back of the campground; all bathrooms are secured with keypad codes. The best places to walk dogs are either along the dirt pet walk area on the east side of the campground or in the fenced dog park on the west side. The dog park has a grass and dirt surface without any of the usual KOA agility equipment (which means a bit more open space), a single bench, and no dedicated lighting. In terms of cell service, the best bandwidth I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna showed 16 Mbps down and 12 up, and other than very occasional buffering I had no problem working and streaming video. The best speed I saw on my AT&T smartphone with 5G was 86 down and 18 up. I tried out the campground WiFi the morning we left and got 3.5 down and just 1 up. If you're a light sleeper, you may struggle here: I-40 is visible from the east and south sides of the park, and you can faintly hear the semi-trucks as they pass by as well as the occasional train. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Kudos to Holbrook KOA ! We had a Horrible trip East bound I 40 today, the 40 was shot down at exit 357 because of a Train derailment ! We sat on the 40 for over 4plus hours and no way to turn around!! Finally they ( troopers) open up an exit and made all of us head back west bound!! Being late in the afternoon! My wife called and said that they had a pull through site 👍👍😎😎😊😊we were very happy to have a place to park for the Night!! Yes a 5 star service and thank you folks!! We will be back again!!Don and Linn
