The bathroom in our cabin (K) was dirty. There was long black hair in the sink and tub and hair on the toilet. Kind of gross!

One night stay all good

Very cold, no wind breaks, water froze since electric plug was jammed up so we could not plug in heated water hose. No one ever responded to my emails and the reception person was as cold as the weather. Off our list. Maybe summer is better?

Nice Kabin with bathroom. Hot water is not dependable; on demand system just does not deliver, so we passed on the shower. Disappointing. Minor delay due to water availability, but solved over dinner break. Came back and water was on, but not a good hot water delivery system.

Good place except slow wifi

I arrived around 5:45 pm and the receptionist waited until we arrived on December 23. The weather was very wet and cold. The site was easy to find and was a pull through. The sites were all very clean and leveled. The staff were very polite and accommodating. T mobile reception about 3 bars . You’re also about 22 minutes away from the Petrofied Forest a must see. I would definitely come back

Everything was wonderful as usual. Thank you

Mud! Please get more gravel! When we stay at a KOA we want to enjoy it but not take it with us!

Super clean park. The store was fun to shop in & the employee was great. Nice level sites & gravel ( no mud ) pretty quiet considering it’s close to I-40. Looking forward to staying again.

Fantastic private patio!!!

The site was fairly nice, we had a patio site that provided some nice privacy. The gas BBQ worked. It could use some very basic gardening and cleanup. It looked abandoned. The WiFi was so terrible as to be non-existent. This place should say no WiFi. Just terrible. The staff was nice.

Quiet, fair spaces, but roads need work.
Dec 17, 2023
Restrooms and showers were absolutely disgusting, locks broken on 2 stalls. Wifi was terrible. There were aggressive stray dogs running all over. Noise from the highway was ridiculous. Couldn't get ahold of the manager either day we were there. She finally called when we were two days gone and refused to do anything about it. I would really appreciate a partial or full refund

The stay itself was good as we pass from Colorado to Our snowbird location. What I find is internet iso week it is not useable. Wi-Fi name on check-in flyer was wrong as well. But site is gravel and dirt but clean. Looks like new addition to the existing campground. Would stay again when passing through.

It’s a great campground . We enjoy staying there. There is a lot to do in the area . Our only issue is the Wi-Fi on the campground it’s spotty. As soon as we leave the campground it’s great.

The washrooms seemed old and dingy and had a very weird smell. The whole campground just seemed tired.

At first we were directed to a site at the north end of the campground directly across from permanent residents. The permanent resident are was very unsightly to put mildly. I don’t understand how this meets KOA standards. We asked for a different site in the south end of the campground and are stay was as expected. The reason we stay at KOAs is so that we can depend on minimum standards.

With the ease of being able to put our RV into the site and even though its gravel..No Biggie, the sites were fairly level and had NO issues! When we needed Propane for the winter temp drop that hit, the ease of availability at your location was a bonus. Small towns like this are a gem and had a fun time visiting the National Park. Thanks for the visit!

Called ahead to verify thee campground had internet. Thought the price was high just to pull in for the night. Outside of the internet and basic hookup, we don’t/didn’t use other amenities. Internet was poor to none, which was a complete disappointment. Next night pulled into a $30/night site with same quality site and amenities with GREAT internet. Not sure why KOA can’t give you $$ w

We rented a cabin and we're pleasantly surprised to find a beautifully appointed bathroom which is unusual for KOA cabins. The park itself was pretty and clean. The chuckwagon style meals served we're very good. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed here for a week. The campground is on the northeast end of Holbrook. There are two parallel one-way entrances lanes to the campground: use the right lane to pull up next to the office and check in. Except for four back-in sites that seem to belong to longer-term residents, all of the RV sites are pull-throughs with gravel pads, gravel yards and picnic tables. Most sites have full-hookups as well as cable connections: a very few have just water and electric (and cable), while the sites marked on the map as being extra long might not have cable. Individual site amenities vary a great deal. Some sites have waist-high pine trees along the border, some have fences between sites, and some have adjacent tree (all sites are open to the sky, though) Some sites have patios that simply have chairs; others come with a gas-powered grill. A few patio and patio-free sites have a pergola, and some sites have small dog pens. Site 66 (likely because the campground is just off of old Route 66) is the ultimate site with a large patio area with a grill and pergola surrounded by a privacy fence. There are also a number of tent and cabin sites. We stayed in site 50, which was the last site on the east end of our row. All east end sites have a tall fence wall on the right side of the site, likely to block some of the light and sound from I-40 across the way. Our site wasn't long enough to fit our 21-foot truck and 37-foot fifth wheel front to back, but it was a designated wide site so we easily fit our truck between the camper and the fence. Our site was level, and the hookups were all near the back. The office building has a decent-sized souvenir and convenience store, with a laundry room located on the side of the building and bathrooms located in the back. There is a large playground on the west side of the office with a single basketball hoop and horseshoe pit, and beyond that is the swimming pool. Across from the office is the propane refill station, the dump station, and a communal area with a large petrified log and a small walk-up restaurant where they serve pancakes and host cowboy cookouts in season. There is also a second bathhouse at the back of the campground; all bathrooms are secured with keypad codes. The best places to walk dogs are either along the dirt pet walk area on the east side of the campground or in the fenced dog park on the west side. The dog park has a grass and dirt surface without any of the usual KOA agility equipment (which means a bit more open space), a single bench, and no dedicated lighting. In terms of cell service, the best bandwidth I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna showed 16 Mbps down and 12 up, and other than very occasional buffering I had no problem working and streaming video. The best speed I saw on my AT&T smartphone with 5G was 86 down and 18 up. I tried out the campground WiFi the morning we left and got 3.5 down and just 1 up. If you're a light sleeper, you may struggle here: I-40 is visible from the east and south sides of the park, and you can faintly hear the semi-trucks as they pass by as well as the occasional train. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Kudos to Holbrook KOA ! We had a Horrible trip East bound I 40 today, the 40 was shot down at exit 357 because of a Train derailment ! We sat on the 40 for over 4plus hours and no way to turn around!! Finally they ( troopers) open up an exit and made all of us head back west bound!! Being late in the afternoon! My wife called and said that they had a pull through site 👍👍😎😎😊😊we were very happy to have a place to park for the Night!! Yes a 5 star service and thank you folks!! We will be back again!!Don and Linn
