Holbrook petrified Forrest KOA is a great spot if you are visiting the park with 25 min drive to the park entrance. Sites are a bit small with some scattered trees. Staff is nice. The cowboy dinner was delicious and a nice break from having to cook something in the camper. It’s located just 5 min off the hwy. Although you can see the cars on the hwy there isn’t much noise.

The rate charged ($85) is too high for an uneven gravel site, (with mud after the rain); and no cement pad for your rv or picnic table.

This is a nice RV park to stay in. The staff was friendly and helpful. They offer breakfast and dinner for a reasonable fee. The laundry room was clean and well maintained. The site was nice.

Just a one night stay in a pull thru site. Easy to hook up and unhook utilities. Bathroom/showers were convenient and clean. My cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and the pancakes and sausage the next morning were great. Both meals were generous portions and reasonably priced. I would stay at this KOA again when we could stay longer and see the local attractions!

We stayed 3 nights. KOA staff were great and very helpful, our site was clean and very level, we did not use the restroom/shower or laundry. The pet area was very nice but this time we did not have our pups. KOA was great but staying in Holbrook was a disappointment - everything was closed on Sunday and I cannot recommend visiting for a weekend.

Mud was so bad that I almost stuck my rv, luckily had 4 wheel drive to get through it. Took 4 hours to clean my rv and tow truck up.

We had a wonderful stay. This was the second time staying here and any time we are heading east or west on I40 we will be stopping there again.

We've stayed at this KOA a few times now, each time in a cabin with our pet. The cabins are always clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the KOA itself is clean and well taken care of. Highly recommend!

This site was fine, just off the freeway and it suited our one-night purpose but with the number of dogs there, it was so dark that those of us that needed to take our dogs out after dark, it was really hard to see. Maybe some solar lights by the dog walk and back area would be good. The bathrooms closest to us were closed - bummer. They do serve meals, which is cool.

We had a great stay. This KOA has everything you could want. We stayed three days as a base camp to the sites around Holbrook, the National Park, and Winslow AZ. The location was great. The sites were good but all gravel. The pool was closed for the winter..

The lady in the office was very nice, but we had paid for a XL spot and they had put us in a much smaller spot. The area is very loud from the highway and the smell of pot was very pervasive throughout the park while we were there for two days.

We reserved the private patio #60…. It was perfect… enjoyed the patio….. during our stay another RV’er cut their turn short and rip a section of the patio wall down … bummer bit we ate out in the patio even though a section was missing

In the middle of the week the decision was made to close the back bathrooms with no notice or signs on the bathrooms. I get it that winter is coming, but some notice would have been nice. I ran into one tent camper who was panicked, but not informed, about the closure. Better communication would help improve the situation.

The cabin was clean as well as the grounds. The tv was not working and when we went over and asked for help getting it to work the man was very dismissive and unhelpful. Not that we need a tv, but if you’re going to offer it and someone ask for help you should at least attempt to be helpful.

If you want to be close to Petrified Wood National Park, native and western history, or Rout 66 memorabilia, this is the place to stay. There is a really good breakfast available too.

Above average. They do offer meals, but over-priced (a $10 hot dog meal?). The campsites and restrooms are fairly clean and the staff are helpful. The location is well placed without a lot of freeway noise. WiFi is sketchy. Cell service (ATT) is generally good but I despise tethering to my phone just to get emails. Active rail line nearby at all hours. Beautiful dark skies. *Might* be back.

I've needed to stay in a cabin during a storm and return later to stay in a tent site. I'm sure, as a guest, I've extended my stay beyond the 3 days, lol. Yet this place is pretty awesome. A really nice tent grassy area pets are not allowed to be on wirh water and 20 amp if needed. The cabins are very nice with a microwave and fridge, the sound of the rain on a tin roof would be better than the leaky shingles, lol. Management came in and checked it out, offered to move me to another cabin and replaced the shingle, however I did not move to another cabin. The restrooms are clean and the laundry facilities are clean as well. My favorite parts are the kind staff and the Chuckwagon breakfast and dinner. PETRIFIED TOAST for dinner? Yep, it is so good, and the sausage burrito for breakfast are my 2 favorites, great cooks and all the food cooking smells so good, it's hard to say, no, lol. Any problem is addressed immediately and for being by the interstate at the tent sites it's quieter than I thought it would be. Overall a great place to stay the night or a few days. Yet, I'm a guest, just like fish, after 3 days we all begin to stink, unfortunately some of those guests with smaller dogs feel their need to clean up after them is as small as the landmines they left behind in the dog park. So, not all the guests whom stay here are respectful. I'm grateful for the place to be while my dog healed from a procedure at the nearby vet. I'd go back again iffin they let me, lolol Thank you for a safe place for me and my fur baby during the storms of life. Petrified toast just try it, yummmm

This is a nice KOA. The staff was friendly and helpful. The laundry was clean and well maintained. The site was nice. This is a good location for seeing the Petrified Forrest National Park and Art Rock Ranch.
