Wonderful place with beautiful views of the hills. We camp a ton but never stayed at a KOA. Most importantly though were the staff. They were all extremely courteous and attentive, specially the lady in the front office. She spent a wealth of time with us giving us pointers for the area. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

I think what made this KOA special is Wendy, the manager. She was so kind. She made sure we had coffee in the morning because our coffee maker broke. They delivered the firewood. We want to come back.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Just wish we were staying longer! The campground is very clean. The bathroom and shower are the nicest/cleanest I’ve ever seen. Shout out to Duane! He was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

Such a beautiful location. Our site was level and spacious. Wendy was just wonderful and explained everything perfectly. She gave us great insight on the area. We were so close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park without being right on a busy highway. Thank you for a great stay!

The managers were wonderful, Wendy went above and beyond to make sure the stay was excellent. The coffee in the office was a nice addition. The scenery around the campground was absolutely gorgeous!

10 out of 10 KOA. We stayed up on the hillside in a back in, have dogs, loved it! Spacious spots and quiet. A great spot to explore the surrounding area. Well maintained, Laundry, showers, restrooms. Pool looks amazing but our hours did not fit pool hours. I hope to return and further explore hill city and black hills. Thank you for the great stay. I got amazing sunset pictures too

Great hosts and very clean park. It is very quiet and dark at night - something to take into account. I would prefer to stay in the upgraded spots next time as they are cement rather than rock.

My friend , I spent four days in Cottage 3. Loved it. Clean! We each had our own beds. Nice things, Kureig and snacks. Loved patio, firepit, wildlife viewing. Excellent location for all our trips. Super nice staff! (Steve, etc). Heat. The only neg was that our RV neighbors ran their generator all night and scared off the wildlife. They had electric so I was puzzled since I have an RV. Newbies?

We had a crazy hard rain storm causing huge ruts in the driveway....as soon as it cleared up they were out there fixing the roads...took 2 daya! It was bad! They did a great job. Beautiful setting! Right on Needles highway. Would def go back.

1. Very friendly and helpful staff. 2. Site was not level, had to use extra blocks to get level and to put under front tires which were off the ground. 3. Pizza food truck, didn’t try, but might have had it stayed open past 6 pm. 4. Game room, wide screen TV, staff said that it stays open later if a NFL football game is on and there is one person watching. 5. Very clean bathrooms and showers

The managing team was amazing, this is an older site but it is clean a quite with space and shade. The laundry and rest rooms are also clean better than most.

This KOA was by far the BEST! The scenery was incredible. The property is well maintained! The restrooms are very clean with a pleasant updated decor and plenty of sinks & counter space, as well as super clean showers with ample hooks in the shower stalls and clean toilets with a powerful flushing system. Dewayne & ALL the staff were absolutely the BEST! We WILL be back! Thank you so much!

Very friendly staff. This KOA is centered to most attractions Kept clean. Only downside very very little WIFI and Cell service. So glad we had brought DVD’s Enjoy!

Great location. Quiet and clean campground. Clean and well maintained laundry. The hosts went above and beyond to assist us with a broken slide on our RV… much appreciated. They worked tirelessly to fix the roads for several days after the torrential rain.

Great showers and restrooms, very clean with dry floors (shower curtains do their job) and good pressure. Sites are slopped slightly but ok if you have front and back leveling jacks. Truck campers require a long sewer hose as the connection is in the middle of the site not entrance.

Annual camping trip with my son, and the Needles KOA was beautiful, clean and the staff was excellent. After a severe storm, the staff was immediately hard at work checking on guests and re grading the roads that had partially washed out. (Staff was even cleaning off the highway with shovels!)

We were in a group of 3 trailers. We stayed in the new 3 spots up the hill. I felt my middle spot was kind of sloppy. The other 2 spots were landscaped with nice walk blocks. My spot just looked unkept. Rocks, weeds, etc.

We have never stayed at a KOA before so were uncertain on what to expect. This ended up being a highlight of our vacation! The location was perfect to explore Mount Rushmore, trails, cosmos cabin, caves, etc. Wendy was wonderful and answered questions quickly and Jerrod was super sweet to take time to answer our kids' questions about his parrot, Tito! They even had a scavenger hunt for kids to do. Biking was a little tricky with it being pretty thick gravel but that was the only "negative" of our stay. There were lots of areas of rocks for kids to climb and explore. We rented a camping cabin that fits 5 and the bathrooms were super clean! We will definitely be a returning customer.

We booked here just to give it a try and I'm so glad we did. The campground is beautiful with nicely sized sites. Gorgeous views. It was late season so not everything was open (pool, food). It did not matter. It was such a wonderful place to be. Lantern Jack was a highlight. My son heard the story and needed to find him. Then I got into it. After HOURS of searching for him, we did it! It was a fun twist that I didn't expect to enjoy so much. I hope they get shirts/figurines/stickers/post cards, whatever of him. We would have left with it all. Ha ha Highly recommend this campground. We camp a LOT and this place was one of the best. Long live Lantern Jack!
