Tent Reviews

While in Greensboro, I choose to stay in a cabin at the KOA. What a surprisingly pleasant experience. I really enjoyed getting a chance to satisfy my outdoorsy side while on a business trip. I would highly recommend the cabins for an easier set up, but still the camping experience you’re looking for.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The well system could use some work as the water would come out orange. I had to install a filter on my water hose outside and still had to use a filter pitcher for my drinking water too. I also had sewage issues and my in ground drain pipe clogged up and wouldn't drain. I was told I was placed on a "tent site" and it wasn't meant for long term.

I enjoyed my stay at the KOA Greensboro. That was my first camping experience and I look forward to future camping at the KOA Greensboro.

It’s right next to the interstate. The noise was pretty hard to deal with. The tent site was ok, not great, and I think the price was a good bit higher than what I pay at better KOA campgrounds. The bath house was pretty old and rundown, stall doors broken, no toilet paper in one of two stalls and other almost out. People were very nice.

Site said tent pads with grass. There was no way I could pitch my tent anywhere near the water/electric. It was all rocks. Ended up being 100 feet from where my pad should have been. I went to the office to voice my concerns but the office lady couldn't care less. Very impersonal on top of everything else. I've used KOA's on my motorcycle trips in the past. Lesson learned. Too much $$ for nada.

I stayed one night and was greeted w/ a little goodie gift bag, which I thought was really sweet. The campgrounds were very clean, quiet and easy to find. I felt very safe and welcome there. The office staff was very personal and professional.

Washrooms were very far and the park had dog dropping in many areas. There were closer washrooms unavailable, some lots were not level. Staff were friendly.

Every person that I encountered in the office was kind, helpful, and welcoming! I accidentally stayed past my reservation date and they were very understanding, allowing me to book another night without any hassle.

I came in with a teardrop trailer. I was supposed to be next to my parents who have a travel trailer when the reservation was made. I was put in a tent site which was a long way from my parents. As a result of being in a tent site I was unable to use my camper for the two days I was there. no trailer should ever be put in a tent site.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your stay. When your mother made the reservation she wanted to have you camp in our parking lot. We have campers in campsites. So the least price point was a tent site with water and electric which she booked because you did not need sewer. I'm sorry if there was a miscommunication.

It's called the holiday season, but I think that $90 for a tent site is too expensive for a place booked on May 27th due to the facilities and conditions. It's a place I never want to go again.

I stayed here for 5 months for work and had a great experience! Wendy and the rest of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Laundry facilities are very clean and well kept. The staff is always working on a different project to upgrade the campground which is very nice to see. They have a wonderful dog park with two separate fenced in areas which has a been incredible for me as I have two large dogs. They also have some nice trails through the woods for walks. The campground is located very conveniently by highway 40 which makes for easy access to get to and from work. Thank you to the staff at Greensboro KOA for making my stay enjoyable and allowing me to call this place home for a few months!

I stayed here for 4 months while on a travel assignment for work from Oct 2023 until Feb 2024. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bathroom facilities are outdated but still very clean. Having laundry on site was also helpful and the laundry room was very clean, cheap ($4 to wash and dry a load) and accessible 24/7. The road noise from I-40 was a little annoying to me but I got used to it after a while. Even at night, I still slept with the TV on to drown out the noise. If you stay here, I highly recommend you use a water filter. They have well water and some days, the water would come out very orange. I added a filter to my water hose while staying here in addition to having a filter pitcher for my drinking water. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
