Staff was very friendly. Biggest complaints were that we felt a little deceived by parking descriptions… we knew we were close to the highway but the parking options made it seem as if our spot had little noise (by the description), which was not the case. Also, the website says alt. check out at 1200 but our email said 1100, so we missed the time and they called to ask if we needed to extend.

Multiple toilets in the women’s restroom were clogged the entire stay. Entire bathroom was very dark but over at the showers there was barely any lights at all, must have been working on the bathroom but left open knifes on sinks and flooring and supplies everywhere. Bathroom needs a lot of updating and not just flooring on the walls. The office needs to be opened before 11am.

Koa is right off the hwy, easy on and off. Nice park, sites are tight which is normal for a lot of private campgrounds. Staff was wonderful, bathrooms are clean. The park itself is great. One big positive and negative is it sits next to the highway. And it is a busy highway. Run your fan all night and you won’t notice it.

Nice place to stay overnight. There's some highway noise and sites are gravel/dirt, but utilities worked. :)

For several years now, we have been using this KOA to overnight at when traveling to and from eastern NC to visit family. It is very easy to access from I-40, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. Our two most recent stays in February 2026 were no different than our past experiences. We will use this KOA again and would recommend to others.

Staff is great! Location is easy and right off the highway. Shop has ice and frozen dinners and much more. They fill propane! Will definitely stay again when we visit our daughter.

Very convenient for a stopover. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Long pull through sites were spacious, though the hookups were very far towards the front - almost too far for my electrical cord to reach. Bathhouse was clean but very dated.

Feb 2026 stay on our way north after a snow storm. Needed a safe place for one night just off the interstate. Full- hookups were fully operational despite freezing temps and snow covered spaces. They did an amazing job making arrival and departure safe. Restrooms were very clean and warm. We were able to take care of our tanks and get set for our next leg of travel. Thank you for being open!

After our scheduled campground canceled our reservation due to weather, we needed to find a campground for 2 nights. KOA Greensboro Journey assured us that they were open in spite of the weather. They had a site cleared and ready for us when we arrived. The young man 'Davis' in the office was very pleasant and welcoming. The campground was very nice. We would definitely come again!

Our stay was just over night but we enjoyed it. It is directly beside the interstate so paying extra for the site to be furthest back is really a waste of money. The staff was very friendly and they keep the place up nicely. I do recommend for a passing through stay.

Easy check-in and close to I-40 during one night stay with full hook up in a pull through site. Campsite staff called before arrival to check on trip and arrival time and had our location and site info ready.

The only bad things were the expressway noise and slightly unlevel campsite. Everyone was super friendly and informative.

O be again everything was great with the only exception being the location proximity to the interstate. It was a little hard falling asleep with the trucks motoring by but otherwise the site was flat and clean. We arrived late so we didn’t get a chance to visit the office.

The host was very nice and showed me to my site. He made checking in easy. He explained the codes for the bathhouse and laundry area.

The stay was great after we got the RV leveled. Since we knew the place was in the mountains some leveling was needed. The registration people were friendly and offered advice.

Stayed in our 5th wheel trailer. Good site. Level and quiet, except for the freeway noise. Everything was good. We needed to stay a few extra days and they accommodated us without having to move to a different site. Staff was very nice.

I camped one night with a group. The owners/staff battled a water outage and were able to fix the issue. My only complaint is the road noise at the location but that just due to the location. Would stay there again if traveling as it is close to the highway.

1) The washer/dryers only took quarters so were useless because there was no change machine and the office didn’t have change. 2) No enforcement of the pet policy - Several campers were walking their dogs off leash ( which creates a problem for us walking our dog). 3) Bathrooms were clean but dated. 4) Convenient on/off access to highway.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We apologize as pet rules are important. We are dog owners and it is frustrating when people say they have a friendly dog and don't need a leash. Not everyone knows that and it is for the safety of the animal. Next time please point it out to staff when others aren't following the rules.

you're leaving us a little confused Howard as your site has electric, Water, and Sewer connections as well as wi-fi access. If you weren't able to locate all the connections in the future let us know while you are on property as we can't assist you after you have left. But it is a FHU site.

We were greeted by I think maybe the owners of the campground. They were very friendly. It's a small campground but very well kept.our sight was plenty big enough.so we had a drain problem. They actually brought us vinegar as we had bs. It worked. Very nice people.

To be completely honest when I looked at the reviews I was a bit hesitant to book to say the least. But let me tell you my fear were completely unjustified. The staff was amazing and super friendly my quiet kids even talked to them which is just a credit to the amazing staff! The girls loved the playground and the train. And the noise level was already quiet I would stay again in a heartbeat beat! My littlest one has an early bedtime and I was worried about noise but once again that was never an issue. And the selection to do stuff around the area was amazing! Please do not hesitate to book here. I never leave reviews but with the tons of bad reviews I felt it was necessary to see the good. Also 99% of the bad comments are before they switch management! And let me once again tell you that they are amazing 10/10 would recommend ❤️
