Easy check in after hours without a reservation. Dry erase board listing available sites and prices extremely handy. Only suggestion would be a note on the board to tell campers (using this method) to cross out or erase the site number they are using. That way the people that follow will have an up to date listing of available sites.

it was a great base camp for us to be able to visit several one day adventures in the area. Because our stay was in the latter part of September the campground was not very full and was quite quiet in the evenings.

We had a wonderful time at this park. Although the weather was rough with rain, our stay was fine. Great location, amenities were clean. Look forward to staying here in early October as they go Hole Hog for Halloween fun. Great time for kids and adults. We are golfers and picked this location for close proximity to many courses. We even had free wine and beer tasting. Would stay again.

I already sent a review to the Gaylord KOA. I was disappointed as we have stayed before at other KOAs. Our site was already available(as there were only about 10 campers in the entire campground). However, because we got there an hour early, they charged us the extra $10 for early check in and would not agree to let us sit and wait the hour. Not $10, just principle. Will never stay there again

We stayed there on our way home from vacation for one night. It’s a cozy campground with amenities. Can’t rate the pool as it was closed. Stayed late in September. The campground is very dated and could use some upgrades if you are used to a more modern park. The staff were very pleasant and the site we stayed on had a concrete pad with awesome picnic table and swinging seat. Brand new bbq.

We stayed at the KOA at Gaylord Michigan over there fall celebration weekend. It was an amazing, fun weekend for all four of us adults and our grandson. There was never a dull moment. Or activities for all ages, food, truck, campsite, decorating, trick-or-treating, Halloween costume, judging, donuts, and apple cider, etc. the list goes on. We will definitely be back for the fall Halloween weekend

Was very impressed by every aspect. Everyone was super friendly and the facilities were the cleanest I have ever seen in a campground. Would recommend new fire rings and the timber railings on the path to the bathhouse are in need of repair/replacing.

This was our first time camping at a KOA in our small travel trailer. The Gaylord, MI campground was neat and clean. Staff was awesome--courteous, helpful, and a pleasure to interact with. We appreciated the multitude of amenities available that state parks do not offer and look forward to returning during another camping season!

Site 69, quiet, clean, plenty of shade trees. 30 foot bumper pull with Chev. Colorado puller fit easily. Friendly staff.

Lovely wooded camp sites, wide gravel pads. Restrooms were clean and updated. We arrived late and our site info was waiting for us. With a short overnight we had little contact with staff but the person who took our reservation was very helpful.

I went up with a buddy we rode our motorcycles from Cincinnati and stayed in a deluxe cabin. I can't say enough this place is awesome

Gorgeous campgrounds that is extremely well maintained. We had a full hook up site that was level and quite large with a fire pit, picnic table and nice shading. Lovely building off of pool with very clean laundry room washroom/showers and lounging area. Staff are very friendly and can be seen throughout the day doing maintenance and available to assist campers. The store has a nice variety of items: food, beverages, clothes, games, toys... even fun items for your furry friend. Nice walking/biking trails, miniature golf, basketball hoops, bike rentals, K-9 run... Top marks for this beautiful KOA.

We have been here about three times and enjoy it every time. We always go in the fall and rent a simple cabin with our kids and dog. Bathrooms are always clean, staff is friendly and the camp store has all kinds of great things in it! They have themed weekends all year i think. We always participate in Fall-o-ween. I recommend!!
