Michaywé Arts & Crafts FairFRIDAY & SATURDAY, AUG. 14 & 15, 2020
Friday: 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.As always, the Michaywé Clubhouse and surrounding five, park-like acres offer a beautiful venue for the more-than-100 artisans from the local area and from around the country to show off their exquisite ceramics, paintings, and photography; inspired metal and wood work; beautiful stained glass; unique jewelry; practical and pretty purses and clothing; whimsical lawn ornaments; and many more one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted creations. In addition, some exhibitors add to the flavor of the fair by specializing in food items, including delectable selections of sausage, breads, jams and jellies, cookies and kettle corn.Besides the ideal Michaywé setting — and its indoor and outdoor booths — exhibitors and customers alike will find beverages and lunch specials available in the adjacent Jack Pine Grill, which offers a stunning view of the 1st, 9th, and 18th holes of the Pines Golf Course; and a full menu at the award-winning Inn the Woods restaurant, located in the Clubhouse and overlooking the scenic bridge spanning Michaywé Lake.

Thunder Over Waters takes place the Sunday of Labor Day weekend (September 6th) in downtown Waters, Michigan! Activities include bounce houses & kid's games, parade, arts & crafts, corn hole tournament and grand finale fire works!The purpose of the Thunder Over Waters Festival is to bring families and our community together to promote the village of Waters and all it has to offer.Pancake & Sausage Breakfast served at Keg Bar & Grill 8:30am to 11amArts & Crafts Show starting at 10amLunch at the Fire Hall starting at 11amParade 1pmFireworks at dusk
4th Annual Blocktoberfest coming to Downtown Gaylord. Don your dirndls and lederhosen for Gaylord's 3rd Annual Blocktoberfest! Hosted by the Downtown Merchants' Association and sponsored by local businesses, the festivities kick off on Saturday, September 19th - from 1:00 – 10:00 pm. Bring the whole family downtown under the Pavilion on Court for a fun day of music, dancing, games, great food and world class beer! Activities on tap include corn hole, games for kids and adults, face painting and more! Check out live music with Virgil Baker and the Just for Fun Band from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. and the Kari Lynch Band from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the beard and mustache contests, along with the ever-popular beer stein holding contest. Food will be for sale through the Otsego County Hockey Association and this year's beer garden will serve craft beers and wine from northern Michigan breweries, including Snowbelt Brewing Co., Big Buck Brewery, Rolling Oak and Cheboygan Brewing Co. Admission to the event is free. If you would like to purchase alcoholic beverages, you have the option of purchasing a 12 oz beer in a regular plastic cup, or a 16 or 32 oz commemorative mug for $5 and $10 respectively. Wine will also be available.
Come home to Alpenfest in Gaylord, home of the World's Largest Coffee Break and where our beautiful Alpine Village Main Street magically transforms into the Alpenstrasse. Artist's from all over the country display their crafts, and area vendors offer up tasty ethnic treats. The carnival lights up the night sky and fills the air with the sounds of laughter.
