Meet Dean and Patti, two of the friendly faces you’ll see around the Gaylord KOA! Full-time RVers for the past three years, this adventurous couple hit the road with a bang - starting their trip off with an unforgettable three-month journey through the American West. Along the way, they explored 14 national parks, including the breathtaking Mighty 5 in Utah, Yellowstone, Glacier, and the Tetons. Passionate about discovering hidden gems, they love off-grid camping, with “The Wall” in South Dakota’s Badlands topping their list of favorite boondocking spots. Dean and Patti have also hiked much of the Appalachian Trail and hope to complete it one day!
When they’re not out exploring, Dean and Patti are helping to create an amazing guest experience at the Gaylord KOA. What makes it extra special for them is the sense of belonging - working alongside an incredible team that feels more like family. They cherish weekly team dinners, the support they give one another, and the shared passion for making every camper’s stay memorable. In their downtime, they enjoy exploring local treasures like live music at the Downtown Summer Concert Series, pizza at CRAVE, and a cold pint at Big Buck Brewery. Though their home base is Roan Mountain, Tennessee, Dean and Patti bring warmth and joy wherever they go—and Gaylord is lucky to have them!
