2nd time staying here with the private dog park. Customer service is wonderful, bathrooms are clean. If somehow the campground could put in a very thick coat of crush stone, this might help with the muddiness in rainy season. I know the leaves might cover it, but those could be blown off.

Thanks for your suggestion, we spread tons and tons of stone and it all either runs down the mountain or gets crushed, as you can see, we are trying to take care of this little campground.

Very well maintained campground - we’ll definitely be back! Convenient to I-77 and blue ridge parkway. Don’t forget the on-site BBQ.

Stayed one night on cross country roadtrip Excellent facility, ground well kept, people professional and friendly Couldn't ask more of this campground Warm weather stay offers many activities fir families. Wonderful service! Everyone here was so helpful, and we especially were grateful that they brought things to us, including but not limited to firewood, and food from the bbq spot. Great campground!

Very nice camp ground and well maintained. The entire staff was very friendly and made you feel welcomed. Great camp store and nice variety of food offered and reasonable. If looking for a nice place in the mountains this is one of the nicest and we'll be going back.

What a perfect location to travel the Blue Ridge Parkway, north and south, as well as see "Mayberry"! The park is beautiful and our site was perfect. Thank you for a great stay.

We were welcomed as we pulled in. Didn’t even have to get out of the suv. We were met and escorted in to our site. Helped to back us in and brought ice to our site.! It was perfect. Had a nice dog yard surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. Big level site we stayed hooked up. They take pride in this beautiful campground. There’s also bbq and pizza you can have delivered right to your site.

Beautiful campground! Excellent ! All sites were great, not a bad or uneven pad in the place. Staff were abundant and the check in was easy. Everyone was so friendly and attentive! Go today, you will not be disappointed!!!

The Fancy Gap KOA is my favorite campground. The sites are so well cared for ,and the KOA team is the best. The store is small, but better stocked than most. It’s normally our last stop ,and the best. I always find something special in that store to purchase. We want to stay there as a destination next time it’s so beautiful.

This place is awesome - the campground, the owners, the workers, the food (especially the brisket pizza). I wish I could rate it higher! We’ll be back for sure.

Very nice quiet and clean park. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Some sites are very close together but for a short stay, it’s not bad. They have a smokehouse for food they deliver but never smelled it going.

We stayed two nights and explored the area. The KOA staff were wonderful. They helped us set up our travel trailer on site. Check in was a breeze. Th facilities were clean and I great shape. The staff was also helpful with local information. We would definitely recommend this KOA.

We love this campground and stay there at least once a year. This trip, I was a bit stressed out since we had about six cats at our door every time we started cooking. I'm an animal lover and hate to see these little souls doing without. So, I think that played into my not wanting to sit outside this trip. I'm hopeful that these little ones can be humanely trapped and taken in for care.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Tiny Tiger is an organization we are working with to find homes for these precious kittens that someone dumped here. Not much we can do about the bear. If while you are here you experience them, please let us know. We are doing our very best to control the population. Please do your part.

We absolutely loved every minute of our stay at Fancy Gap KOA, even the day it rained. The camp ground was neat, decorated throughout and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. We were sad to leave and hope to return next year. This was only our fifth trip in our RV and your campground definitely tugged at our heartstrings and helped us create some wonderful memories.

A very nice campground. The hostess met us as we came up to the gate, did not have to get out of our vehicle. She was very courteous and had a another co-worker take us to our site. This KOA even had pizza or bbq meats to have for supper. Would highly recommend this KOA for your stay.

This is an amazing campground. I loved my stay so much last month that I came back for another week to round out my summer. The staff are always so friendly and take such great pride in keeping the campground clean and welcoming. See you all next year!

This was our 4th stay at Fancy Gap and we love it there. Our grandsome came to visit for the day on Saturday and really enjoyed the playground and gem mining. We had a few issues with our camper and the office staff was so helpful and lent us some items to fix our problem. We really appreciate their kindness. We got BBQ on Saturday for lunch and as always it was fantastic!

Great staff, clean, and I stayed in a cabin and it was perfect to break up my Blue Ridge Parkway tour. Maybe a little sign to point to how to get back to the Blue Ridge as I took a round about way per Google.

We took our kids camping for the first time here, what a great experience! We even stayed an extra night and called out of work because it was so awesome! The staff are some of the nicest people we've met and we're always ready to accommodate any need we had, which is great when camping with a baby. Firewood and ice delivered, plenty of space, peaceful, and they have very clean facilities. We caught fish in the pond (largemouth, bluegill, crappie), played giant billiards, and they even have gem mining in the campground. We even had a little disc golf course and playground next to our huge tent site (#40). We definitely will be back!
