I spent 6 nights and $635.61 NOT COUNTING THE $79.92 LATE CHECK OUT CHARGE. My awning broke in a sudden storm the evening before check out. I had to wait for a repairman and left the campsite late the evening I was supposed to check out rather than the am check out time. I advised the staff and they said no one had reserved my site. I noticed several other empty sites so there was no lost revenue.

We're sorry the storm damaged your awning causing your abusive attitude and delayed your departure. Late checkout fees apply when a site is occupied beyond checkout, as it affects daily operations, even if the site isn't reserved that day. We appreciate your stay and wish you safe travels.

I made a mistake with our reservation. The owners did backflips to accommodate us. They are very seeet people with a great koa. Very clean. Location is great for music center my airy nc etc. we will be back for sure!

ALWAYS ENJOY STAYING AT THIS CAMPGROUND AS STAFF SO FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. SITES HAVE ALOT SPACE BETWEN THEM AND EASY TO GET IN. MY HUSBAND ALWAYS COMMENTS HOW CLEAN THE BATH HOUSE IS. ENJOYED RELAXING IN THE POOL. EASY TO GET ON THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY AND TO MT AIRY. LOOK FORWARD TO OUR NEXT TRIP. ROXANE AND CHRIS

We were on our way to NC, and we planned a night at Fancy Gap. The campground was very nice including clean and new/remodeled bathrooms. The campground had a beautiful nature backdrop. We had a great time! Thank you!

Great people and beautifully kept campground. Wonderful amenities and the place shines with detail and extra touches. We had a problem with terrible bees on our site, we called and within minutes 2 different caretakers showed up and solved the problem by moving us to another site. They were quick and helpful it really made our stay great. The campground is fabulous, would stay again.

This is totally one of the best campgrounds we have ever visited. This is a special park. The managers care more about you as a person than their own profit. They took care of us after a trailer fire delayed our arrival. The park is so lovely with such a variety of wonderful sites. The food is so good, we had it 4 times!! Thanks for all the cute, personal touches all over the park.

Very nice campground! We stayed in the cabin and it was excellent! Clean with everything we needed! The kids enjoyed the pool and the games available! We will definitely return!

The small cabin with half bath is a clean, comfortable, warm/cool as needed, cozy value! The front porch is superb with two chairs and plenty of space to hangout, read, eat a meal. The staff is wonderful. The bathhouse is clean and warm/cool as needed. Love that it is setup to have your own space with shower, toilet, and sink as its own cabana. The entire campground has so much personality.

We stayed in site 11where we had stayed a month earlier. The sites on the hill have trees between them and feel quite private yet are close to the office, pool, laundry and restrooms. All are very clean and the staff is wonderful. They even offer pizza and BBQ coked on site

It was a great 4 night stay. We always have a wonderful time at Fancy Gap KOA. I just can’t give that 5th star this time. We had a dog site but we don’t have a dog. It seems like we lost some space because of this site being a dog site. We like the sites along the road going up the hill but this site#45, was just a little small and hard to manipulate a safe, out of the road, parking place.

I make a point of staying at the Fancy Gap KOA every year, every time I go South from Buffalo, NY!! Love it there! Great people!

Beautiful little campground in the woods with great staff. Near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Has laundry, pool, fishing pond and more. We even had bbq dinner delivered to our site. Will stay here again…and again

we had a great stay at this KOA. check in was very easy and our site was wonderful. it is very well maintained. lots of trees around so you don't feel you are right up next to the other campers. its a great location for that area. plenty of activities close by.

Loved the site (72). Only problem was that the cable did not work. WiFi was strong enough to stream however, so it wasn't a big deal. Disappointed I had to pay extra to select my site and pay extra for my two daughters (both over 21). Most allow 4 guests. Loved the delivered local BBQ plates. Is on my list of mountain campgrounds to stay at again!

This place employs the nicest people! We only stayed one night while making our way home, but honestly, we wish we had planned for several more days! The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, helpful & so much fun. There was always something going on from the ice cream truck that rolled through the campground, to the water wagon where kids were having a blast with water guns. We will be back!

Great place we have stayed here over 5 times. When checking in the Saturday night dinner menu was offered. The food was awesome and the prices were very reasonable. And did l say the food was great � The facilities were clean and working. Friendly and helpful hosts. Definitely be back. Thank you Jon and Leslie

Nice campground overall. The smokehouse on site has good barbecue. Staff was friendly. One complaint - my Amazon packages were left at my door in the rain while I was away. All the packaging was destroyed by water. Just leave them at the office next time.

Another great stay at Fancy Gap. Cabin was clean, staff always friendly and one of the best kept grounds in the KOA family I believe. Always enjoy our stay here even though it is always a short stay. They still treat us like valued guests. Looking forward to returning in a few weeks.

It's our favorite campground. Always clean and friendly. The sites are situated where you're not on top of your neighbor. Very close to the Parkway which is beautiful.

Outstanding KOA! The customer service was amazing. The park was decorated for Halloween which was beautiful! The owners definitely take pride of ownership. They also offer food delivered to your campsite!
