This was our third visit to the Fancy Gap KOA and each time we visit we fall more in love with this campground and the kind people who run it! These folks truly go over and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay, the hospitality is top notch, and the campsites are very well kept! Can't wait to visit our home away from home again in October.

Enjoyed the clean and friendly campground and enjoyed the landscape and the peace and quite. Stayed twice in a 2 week period and will definitely be back!

We had site 72 (a back-in) and we think it was one of the best sites in the campground. Very shaded and private feeling. Staff was friendly and efficient. Bathhouse was clean with private bathing areas. Location was right off the Blue Ridge Parkway and about 25 minutes north of Mount Airy, NC. Beautiful mountains and roads all around the campground. Would definitely stay here again.

They have a great staff who are friendly, helpful and professional. The campground is very well maintained and beautiful. We hated to leave and are eager to return!

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. Not only for the campground itself but also for the staff - who are wonderful, friendly, and very accommodating. They always greet you with a smile and wave when they are passing your campsite. The BBQ sandwiches and platters are sooooo good! Thank you for making us feel more like family than visitors.

Our site was a full hook up with dog pen attached to the site. Our one minor dislike was the rock in the dog pen area. We used our camp mat which pleased our pup. The food was amazing from Dave’s smoke pit onsite. We love staying at Fancy Gap KOA.

Everyone is super nice (except the fellow that took us to our site - no patience when I got too close to the pedestal to extend my slide). In fact, he was rude. Only bad experience I’ve ever experienced there over the years

We love this KOA! We stayed in the largest tent site all the way up in the corner. All the staff is so friendly, they would come by and check on us and make sure we were okay. You can tell they take pride in their campground and make everyone feel so welcome. Everyone was so kind, staff and fellow campers. The shower was amazing and bathhouse was so clean! 10/10 recommend this KOA!

Aside from not being allowed to move my truck to the adjacent vacant site to avoid the squirrels dropping hickory nuts on my truck roof; we were very pleased!

We got in late and left early the next day. This is our second time staying at Fancy Gap KOA and we have no complaints. Very nice and peacefull campground. Well mantained by the staff. Easily accessible off 77. We would recommend this KOA to others and would stay here again!

This is the best k o a you can find anywhere. It is very clean very well kept up and the staff is top notch, they go out of their way to accommodate any need you may have. I highly recommend this place if you are anywhere in the area.

Great stay. Wonderful dinner from Dave smokehouse. Had brisket and barbecue sandwiches. Kids really enjoyed the pool and the fishing pond. Both called small bass, lots of bluegill and one catfish. Great times.

There were 3 things that stood out, 1 the staff was very friendly/helpful, 2 overall a very nice & clean campground, 3 they have home made meals with delivery, the PULLED PORK and MAC&CHEESE are FANTASTIC, the Cole Slaw was good as well, but the smoked meats made ON-SITE are as good any restaurant. No reason to ho anywhere for a great meal.

We have camped here many times. We love the dog pen sites. The campground is very nice and quiet. A beautiful location near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The staff are extremely nice and accommodating. One of our favorite campgrounds

We welcome big rigs regularly! Being in the Blue Ridge Mountains does mean navigating mountain roads and terrain. For drivers comfortable with mountain travel, we offer several big-rig-capable sites, including convenient lower-level pull-thrus. We’re always happy to help choose the best site!

We enjoyed our stay, and we intend to return in the near future! The staff was friendly and courteous, always willing to answer any questions we had. This was our first time camping at a KOA, and we were quite impressed with the campground and staff!

Wonderful little cabin next to the pond. We loved the patio and deck and how well the cabin is furnished. Everything was very clean, and we appreciated the availability of towels and bed linens. We hope to come again!

Great staff! Neighbor hauling a fifth wheel got horribly stuck not quite making his turn into his site. Two workers stayed right with us as we got him pulled out and refunded him in. Some sites are tricky, but lots of shade. Friday m/Saturday home cooked bbq/brisket awesome touch!

Outstanding KOA! The customer service was amazing. The park was decorated for Halloween which was beautiful! The owners definitely take pride of ownership. They also offer food delivered to your campsite!
