We loved how responsive and service oriented the owners and staff were! Sites are roomy and the campground is well maintained with lots of amenities. Great hiking nearby as well.

We were greeted and helped as soon as we arrived. We were guided to our site and were assisted when backing up into our spot. The campground was clean and well kept plus conveniently located to the parkway.

We had a great stay in Fancy Gap KOA. The owners and staff are excellent. Go above and beyond. Food is great and the place is beautiful and well kept. We will return. Hopefully a little bit warmer next time but is was springtime so you never know. Thanks for everything. Brent & Laurie.

Wonderful cabin, great game area, beautiful fishing pond, clean cabin with everything you would need, cozy, quite, nice store, great pizza-- a pint of ice cream--Tylenol delivered by management to our door, great location, friendly owners, perfect overnight stay for a romantic..peaceful get away. Thanks Dave and Angie!!! We will be back soon!! Rated A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++!!!

Got there late(7:00), check in paperwork was waiting for us. Site was nice pull thru, very peaceful, quiet. We will be back!!

This is one of the best KOA's we have ever stayed in. It was well laid out. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The dog park was conveniently located and a decent size. The pulled pork sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Everything worked as expected. We will definitely return to this particular KOA.

We have stayed in many KOAs all across the country. This is one of our favorites. Nice level pull thru sites so we don’t have to unhitch. We ordered a pizza from the office when we checked in and they delivered it right to our site. Didn’t have to cook dinner after a long day of driving. Nice clean bathrooms and laundry room. Staff are all wonderful!

I have camped here for years but was a little disappointed this year when I got charged $4.75 for early arrival. I even called before I came to make sure the site was opened and was never told I would be charged. If the site is open and already cleaned, there should not be a charge for early check in. Very disappointed. Otherwise, it’s a great campground.

An early check-in consist of more utilities. campgrounds calculation the rate based on hours stayed using the site. Arriving 3 hours before check-in is excessive and should be charged accordingly, it is a nominal rate based on what you received.

We stayed in site 76 which is our favorite. We were there for 3 nights. Our friends stayed in the small cabin, which did not really meet their requirements. My feedback would be to improve the cabin by adding in a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. There would be room to do this is you removed the bunk beds.

Our campging cabins include a 1/2 bath, they are intended to be a step above tenting. We have 4 cabins that include a full kitchen, full bath and all linens. Happy to help them with any option. Health department does not allow cooking in a dwelling with only one entry. Hope that helps.

Another wonderful stay at Fancy Gap. No complaints from me. Site was great, bathroom/laundry was very clean. I tried their beef brisket sandwich with beans. And it was good. I wish they had coleslaw. The ladies at the front desk were excellent. Give this KOA a try, I believe you will be pleased.

We loved the pet pen behind our campsite. Staff was friendly and camp store was well stocked. The showers were nice and had great water pressure. Close to good eateries and Blue Ridge Pkwy is less than a mile away. Enjoy. OOga Booga!

The service staff was very helpful in leading you to your campsite upon arrival, were helpful in addressing questions, provided great BBQ onsite, and ensured bath areas were always clean. We had a nice stay and loved the shaded site we were on.

Very nice campground. Quiet, friendly with a nice store, heated pool, clubhouse, food menu and more. Our site (56) was a level gravel pad with a nice patch of grass and shade a picnic table and fire bowl. 50/30 amp water and sewer hookups. Had to disconnect from my 35' toy hauler. It was just a few feet short of being able to stay hooked up. Staff was friendly and met me as I pulled up. Check in was quick and easy. We haven't checked out the local area yet but were told it was close to the town where Andy Griffin grew up. I was told it is nice to visit. Some wineries within 20 minutes or so and a craft and pottery shop less than a mile away. Forgot to get some supplies before the camp store closed but there is a 24hr CircleK less than 5 minutes away. Would definitely recommend this campground.
