Always a great stay here. Cabin was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Staff is always friendly. Grounds are always very well kept and decorated festively. Store very well stocked and bathhouse was clean and well stocked. Look forward to a return visit.

Our stay @ Fancy Gap, VA KOA was wonderful. The view from the back porch of deluxe cabin we stayed in was beautiful. Great place to sit & have morning coffee. The porch overlooked the pond & a farm across the the way had cows grazing on the hill. It was very relaxing after a long drive to get there. The cabin was perfect. Thank you!

Absolutely top notch KOA. Probably the best one we have ever stayed at. Friendly and helpful staff. Great dog park and the sites were spacious and clean. Everything about this place deserves an A+ !!

Setting the bar very high for campgrounds. Beautiful scenery, attention to every detail, friendliest staff you could ever find. Mountain setting with trees and wildlife. A hawk was feeding her young in a nest while we were there! Best camp store ever - of course, the necessities, but a well stocked beautiful gift shop as well. Delicious fresh pizza & bbq, delivery too. Spotless showers.

Very nice. The owners were very helpful when we needed to air up the tires on our RV. I liked the food and they even delivered to our site. They had an ice cream golf cart driving around selling ice cream. We had a nice shaded pull through patio site.

Had a great stay, we thought this was one of the best camping layouts we have experienced with the spots in the trees and terraced on the hillside. The Blue Ridge trail road is right beside the camp, and a very beautiful drive in both directions with several points of interst. Mount Airy - home of the Any Grifths show if you are old enough to remember; the old police car tour is a must-do.

What a beautiful find. Let’s start with the staff that is super friendly and goes above and beyond to create an outstanding experience. Now the campground is designed well and looks amazing. They also make homemade food and deliver it to your site. Will definitely be back there later this year.

Stayed there for 3 nights to do some sightseeing as we travel! Loved Fancy Gap KOA! Beautiful campground in the trees and on a hill! You get your heart rate up when you go for a walk! Most sites are fairly private! Lovely and helpful staff! Nice gift shop! It should be a “Holiday” instead of a “Journey”! Right next to the Blue Ridge Parkway and 20 minutes from Mt Airy, North Caroli

Very clean, well manicured, many sights w/ trees and privacy. Peaceful/quiet. The staff are super friendly. Upon arrival we were greeted and guided to our site. Staff ride around on golf carts, it's easy to get help if needed. We decided to stay longer so I called the office and joanne picked me up on golfcart and showed me a couple of sites to move to so we could extend our stay. We will be back!

This KOA is a beautiful mountain retreat. We were there for a week. The staff and owners are very friendly and accommodating. They have one of the best camp stores we’ve seen. The showers are well maintained with plenty of hot water. They have lots of outdoor games for families to enjoy. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area.

This was a quick stop over. The online reservation was easy & convenient. The location was great off of 77 once we found the correct Fancy Gap Campground. Our sit was close to facilities and they were clean & warm.

Terrific as always! The staff makes everyone feel so welcome. In particular, Joanne, Gary and Debbie were great. They helped us identify an electrical problem with our camper. Thanks much. The grounds are so well kept. Enjoyed the quiet, relaxing experience. Love the newly added antique Jeep and camper at the entrance. We're already looking forward to our return in the fall.

We had a fantastic time at the Fancy Gap KOA. Campground was beautiful, so many cute decorations around the park, swings and benches, and so many things to do. Everyone we encountered was so friendly. We enjoyed getting to talk to multiple people who worked there. We enjoyed the playground right below our spaces. We set up our return trip our last day there. Can't wait to go back in September.

Second time for us in Sure 72 We LOVE this csmpground and all the staff Not the typical small, crowded KOA Sites are spacious and unique And the bathrooms/shower are the very best if any csmpground No stone is left unturned at Fancy Gap - including the “Weather rock” Can’t wait to stay again

Incredibly clean shower house. Super quiet campground. We arrived late at 9:30 and people were all snuggled in their campers already, very quiet beautifully manicured grounds

The entire staff are welcoming, smiling & seem to be best friends. Infectious. Not sure why this is a “Journey” vs a “Holiday”. You won’t want to leave. Property has undulating terrain, well managed trees. Campers are staggered so you’re not looking into your neighbor’s site. The entrance is inviting with a very nice office/store, outdoor seating, corn hole, a fishing pond & more.

Very nice campground. Quiet, friendly with a nice store, heated pool, clubhouse, food menu and more. Our site (56) was a level gravel pad with a nice patch of grass and shade a picnic table and fire bowl. 50/30 amp water and sewer hookups. Had to disconnect from my 35' toy hauler. It was just a few feet short of being able to stay hooked up. Staff was friendly and met me as I pulled up. Check in was quick and easy. We haven't checked out the local area yet but were told it was close to the town where Andy Griffin grew up. I was told it is nice to visit. Some wineries within 20 minutes or so and a craft and pottery shop less than a mile away. Forgot to get some supplies before the camp store closed but there is a 24hr CircleK less than 5 minutes away. Would definitely recommend this campground.
