Unfortunately I was just passing through on my way somewhere else but will definitely be back. Campground is clean and easy in/out to I77.

Well, the trip was our first camping experience in our new B Van and unfortunately we had electrical issues. But the staff at Fancy Gap were amazing! Especially Mike who spent a lot of time with us trying to find out what the problem was. Beautiful campground ground as well. Will definitely be back.

We loved the location and the campground was beautiful. While not dirty, the bathhouse was not as clean as other bathhouses I’ve been in, but that’s to be expected with the number of spots that were filled. The staff were so kind and quick to respond. I was very impressed with the quickness of fulfilling requests.

The staff was amazing- helpful, courteous & Quick! We ended up in a small site (74) that basically overlapped with another one. Because 74 slants down to the deck that meant that we couldn’t use awning to have usable outside space during the drippy weather we had. Staff said there were a couple others but by that time we had already unhitched &didn’t know it would rain. So part on us 4.75 :)

Our campsite (69) was a little small but we really enjoyed the privacy and shade . The pool was a little cold, but the granddaughters had fun.

We love this beautiful KOA. The entire campground is a little oasis. Dave’s Smokehouse BBQ is the icing on the cake for the convenience of a delicious meal without having to leave the campground. The cabin we rented was very clean and comfortable. The entire campground is wonderfully maintained and ALL the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Owners are very accommodating and friendly. We traded campers to a larger one. The site we had originally reserved was not large enough for our new camper and they were able to move us to another spot. Campground is located near Blue Ridge Parkway and has access to many area attractions within a short drive. Great location and the temperature was about 10 degrees cooler from where we came.

Always an annual visit. Easy on/off I-77, but stay a few nights. Take a drive and find someplace to hike on the Blueridge. Find a location on the New River Trail State Park (an old railroad bed) to spend some hours. Nice sites! Friendly and helpful staff!

So peaceful! We stayed in a cabin and it felt very private. Very clean and quiet campground despite the number of guests. Wonderful friendly staff. Camp store is well-stocked, Dave’s Smokehouse prepared a wonderful meal, and the clubhouse has lots of board games and puzzles to pass the time. We are already planning another few days there, as it is an easy getaway at an hour from home.

Family of 5 stayed in the Deluxe Pet Cabin. The cabin is VERY comfortable. KOA provided towels, some toiletries and a well stocked kitchen. We loved the dog gate on the spacious deck. Location of the cabin is premier - close to pool, stocked pond, and KOA office. Owners, Dave & Angie Bower, are down to earth, wonderful people to talk to. Would stay again - excellent experience!

While not the largest, the Fancy Gap KOA has been one of our favorites. All-day smoked brisket, a menu where food is delivered to your campsite from the store/restaurant, disc golf, swimming pool, plenty of shaded dining and relaxing areas, horseshoes, soccer pool, and so much more! Aaaand it's less than 30 minutes to "Mayberry," NC for a day trip. The owners & staff are GREAT, too!!

We use KOA cabins when we are road tripping because it's cheaper than a hotel and there's better entertainment! We've stayed in KOA cabins in three states (this makes four) and everything was as expected. Clean cabin, nice layout (cabin AND campground--there were lots of other campers but the trees muffled any noise), plenty of space.

We stayed at this campground as a stop-over on a longer road trip, which just happened to fall on the 4th of July. The park was busy for the holiday, but had plenty of staff and was well organized. Facilities were clean, site layout was great, and everyone- staff and campers- was incredibly friendly. We would absolutely stay here again.

The neighboring site to ours they had 3 dogs which barked constantly at anything/anyone that went by even in the middle night & early morning. Also there was a stray cat at this campground that would constantly come around wanting food when we was trying to eat would jump up on picnic table and wouldn’t leave us alone very irritating so we could have a meal in peace. The pool was only good thing

Very nose campground and staff but not motorcycle friendly. Dropped our bike at the entrance to the campground and the campers just watched as we delt with the situation. There was a deap dip at an uphill turn that caused the accident.

When we arrived, the power was out. The power remained out for about half of our stay. We understand failures occur, but feel some sort of discount should have been offered. While the waiver of the generator policy benefited some, it inconvenienced others. To allow generators after 10 pm made going to bed with the windows open noisy and odiferous. The staff were lovely, we were not prepared the

We always use KOA's when we can. Fancy Gap has been a favorite. It is beautiful, whimsical, clean, and run very well. Angie and Dave are great hosts and the staff works hard to please. We recommend them without reservation.
