I can see why they got all the awards. It was one of the most enjoyable campgrounds we have stayed at. It is a small campground and it is on the side of a hill, but all the sites are level. The staff is just so excellent and accommodating we felt at home. It is a very nice rural setting and very relaxing. I've been here before and will definitely come again.

We only stayed overnight, but it is a lovely park. Some spaces are close together, but with the changes in elevation and the foliage, it doesn't seem like it. Can't wait to come back and stay longer.

Nice roomy site. Enjoyed our stay. Its very expensive so not sure we will return due to cost

Was blown away by the campground's efficiency, organization, helpfulness, kindness, and good tasting barbeque that was even delivered to our site! Upon my arrival (my husband had arrived with the camper previously) I was greeted at my car, and led to our site. The store is super cute, grounds totally clean, we'll definitely stay again!

Fabulous as usual. A beautiful campground. The grounds are well maintained and the Lodge was spotlessly clean and comfortable. A big shout out to Angie and Dave for creating the little gem. A special thanks for the complimentary upgrade given the work going on near cabin 5. All the staff are truly friendly and helpful. From smokeless fire pits to individual dog parks, it’s simply the best.

We got in at 5:10 pm and the office was closed. We had already made our reservation so that was OK. We just thought it was early. She told us the office did not open until 10:00 in the morning which we thought was late especially if we had needed something before we left. Other than those two things it seemed clean , lots of shade trees

What a beautiful campground. We actually stumbled upon it last minute on our way to Florida. We loved it so much we went back for a few days on the way home. The setting is gorgeous in the trees, tiered spots, nicely kept. The owners take great pride in the park and it’s so obvious. They were so kind and helpful to us and definitely on top of things. Loved it! Thank you.

Stayed in the tree house. It was fun & our BBQ smoked on site was delivered by the staff. Excellent !! We will do it all again.

We look forward to our first camping trip of each season, and we make sure to book it at Fancy Gap KOA. The friendly campground staff, the cleanliness and amenities, and the nearby attractions make it a truly enjoyable experience!

We LOVE The Fancy Gap KOA!!! Quiet, clean, and secluded all while still easily accessible from the interstate. The camp store is precious and has so many fun goodies, so I definitely encourage folks to check it out during their stay! This campground is everything you could ask for and we certainly look forward to our next visit.

Stayed over Easter weekend. The hosts had plenty of activities planned for the kids and family to enjoy The location was perfect for us. Close to everything we wanted to see during our stay. Thank you for an enjoyable weekend!

From our arrival we were taken care of and escorted to our site. This was our first visit and it was more than we could have hoped for. Bbq delivered to our site. So enjoyed a night off from cooking! Kids enjoyed Easter Egg hunt, fishing, gem mining, ping pong and the playground. We kept saying, we think this is the quietest campground we've ever stayed at. Cant wait to come back. The Shirley's

Just a quick weekend stay. Had a pull thru patio site (21) wasn’t very level side to side. But was a very nice spot. We ordered food from Dave’s smokehouse smoked dog and Brisket sandwich was very good. We just love this campground.

It is a nice campground but prices have gone up so much in the last few years may have to look for another place to stay. $139 for a cabin per night with no shower is a bit crazy. Hotels cost just as much as that and I don’t have to bring linens to make my own bed or walk to take a shower

One of the best KOA’s we have stayed at but unfortunately it was only an overnight stay this time. Bathrooms and showers are perfect and clean. We will be back.

We were greeted with someone waiting at the gate to check us in and handed us an Easter gift (who doesn’t like to get gifts?!) - What a great first impression! Within seconds someone was guiding us to our site and helping back in. We had a site with our own dog backyard and now I’m ruined forever. I’m going to need one at every campground! Starving - we ordered food and they delivered! 10/10

We always enjoy staying in Fancy Gap KOA! It’s the first time we have been given a site way up on the hill….nit as big as we would have liked…..we are older campers and would have appreciated having the upper bathrooms open….we were surprised that they weren’t….maybe lack of help?? Anyway the next time we pass through we will reserve by phone instead of on line and request a lower si

We had a great stay during our shakedown run of a new camper. Facilities were clean, bbq was great and our little girl loved finding “Chippy,” hiding on the grounds. Staff were excellent!

This was our very first stay at a KOA and we will definitely be back. We absolutely loved everything about our stay in the cabin with a paw pen for our dog. So much in fact that I immediately started looking for other KOA’s with dog friendly cabins and a paw pens. Unfortunately I haven’t found many. Everything was clean, comfortable, and ready for us. Update October 2026: We stayed at one of their deluxe cabins. It was quiet and scenic. Enjoyed the view of the pond. Cabin was very clean and was supplied or equipped with linens, towels, microwave, range top, full refrigerator/freezer, Keurig machine, hot shower/bath, silverware, coffee cups, drinking glasses, plates, pans, soap, shampoo. TV in bedroom and kitchen. Nice size bed, futon, bunk beds. kitchen table for 4, outside fire pit, nice deck with table and umbrella. Dog friendly but no fenced in area at this cabin. Owners were friendly and helpful. Very nice gift shop. Easy check-in and check-out. Reasonable and fair prices. Beautiful location. Cabin was very clean. Linens and towels were white and clean. Fenced yard perfect for our little dog. Nice wooden deck with table and chairs. Very nice outside sink, grill and fire pit and outside shower. Very quiet. Nice gift shop.

Outstanding KOA! The customer service was amazing. The park was decorated for Halloween which was beautiful! The owners definitely take pride of ownership. They also offer food delivered to your campsite!
