This is an amazing campground. I loved my stay so much last month that I came back for another week to round out my summer. The staff are always so friendly and take such great pride in keeping the campground clean and welcoming. See you all next year!

This was our 4th stay at Fancy Gap and we love it there. Our grandsome came to visit for the day on Saturday and really enjoyed the playground and gem mining. We had a few issues with our camper and the office staff was so helpful and lent us some items to fix our problem. We really appreciate their kindness. We got BBQ on Saturday for lunch and as always it was fantastic!

Great location, well laid out on difficult terrain (steep hillside), not much privacy from neighboring sites, right next to Blue Ridge Pkwy

Nice and personable staff and very willing to help. Property is hilly which affords some privacy. Enjoyed sitting on the double seating swing with our ice cream cones, overlooking the lovely Catch & Release pond.

Very nice place to stay, the sites were great and the people were very nice and friendly. Cable was bad.

Please while you are here on site, let us know. We can not stress this enough. Way to many pedestals for us to check every single one between guests.

These are the best people. Super friendly and willing to go out of their way to ensure you are happy and have what you need. This is our "Go To" place for stop over on the way to Savannah. We keerp saying we will need to stay here longer than one night to get a really good feel for the area. But it is our favorite place to stop. Our kids dubbed it, Fancy Camp.

Quiet location and very wooded surroundings. After coming from a noisy place, Fancy Gap was a welcome respite. Also very clean. The host offered a dinner menu for food prepared on site. Another joy after a long road trip.

It is a very nice place to stay. . The host made the arrival as easy as it could possibly have been. Everyone there is very friendly and welcoming. We have stayed there a number of times and we enjoy the well-kept and quiet campsites. There are many amenities as well.

Angie, Dave and all of the staff were very helpful. We want to thank them again for working with us on rescheduling due to health reason. The park is very clean and ever visit we see new things added that keep the park pleasant to stay and walk around enjoying. The park is a great place to relax. Already have reservation for next year. We always look forward to next visit. The park is exceptional.

This is our third stay and it’s always easy to check in and pleasant. The only drawback is that the bathrooms (which are immaculate and decorated nicely) are hard to access with it being so hilly. Lovely gift shop and great hosts.

sad to say we won't be back. when koa has a deal for last weekend sept 8 and 9. if you stayed the 8th , sat the 9th was free we were there for Fri thru Monday. when we asked about it we were told it was corporate and they aren't. well, the next stop, another non corporate owned campground said that is sad because they honor it. yes its up to the owners but really????? won't be back.

Very nice park; great lay out. Had pizza one night; it was very good. Enjoyed walking around looking at the metal animals and flowers. Park decorated very nice. Since school was back in session weren't many children there. Looked like they had plenty to keep them busy. Will definitely recommend this KOA.

Friendly staff member meets you right at your car upon arrival with all your info and answers any questions. Another staff member is ready and waiting to escort you to your site via golf cart. They gladly help you with parking your rig and answering any questions your may have. Facilities and grounds are clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful place for a quick overnight stay! Checked in late at night, but hang tag and map were left at the check-in area. Pull thru site was super convenient for our stop over on our trip. Shower house/bathroom was super clean and great water pressure. Will definitely stop here again for future travels!

Arrived 5:15 pm 9/7/23. Owners and staff were very gracious and accommodating. Cleanest, best maintained camp site I’ve visited. Note: We’re tent campers not RV’ers. RV sites looked great as well. Full service facility.

Blown away by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. You can tell they really enjoy their job and the campers experience. Also impressed by the amount of amenities and cleanliness of the campground. It was a very enjoyable experience. We will return soon!

Site 42. Nice site in the shade with plenty of room for our ram 1500, 22ft travel trailer and 12x12 canopy. Full hookup. Told by staff the they are putting a retaining wall at back left corner which will make it even better since there is a slight incline. The Staff are all amazing and helpful in store and out. Mr William has tons of ideas for bike trails and things to do

I took a recent three-day trip and stopped twice overnight. The fancy gap Virginia KOA was by far the best of the two campgrounds we stayed in. This little campground is on the side of the Blue Ridge. But when they built it, they did a really good job of each camper parking site level. They also don't pack them in so you have more space than other campgrounds that I have been in. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay going north and on our return trip going south. We tried food off of their menu. We had a homemade pizza with the works that was really really good. We also had a brisket sandwich. It was good, but there was a little too much bark in it for me. The brisket had been pulled, which is normal, but because all of the bark that was in it, it would've been better served chopped so the stringy bark would have been chopped for a better eating experience. I also found the campground to be relatively quiet. I think there were several long-term campers there. unlike many other parks this one seemed to have their long-term residence that were just camping instead of living there and working someone local because I didn't hear a morning rush of traffic leaving the campground. My only complaint would not be against the campground. It would be about other overnight campers and their unruly dogs. I really wish that people would train their dogs enough that when I walk by with my dog, their dog isn't lunging and barking at me. There are no bad dogs. There are just bad owners. I can't fault the campground for that. This is a campground that I would definitely stay at again

What a wonderful campsite. Site 66 was the best. The staff service was amazing for deliveries of wood, propane tank refill and even Dave's delish brisket and pizza made fresh on site!! Loved the whimsical figures located throughput the camp. Clean well maintained! If we are back this way we would stay again in Fancy Gap KOA. It location is perfect for touring the Blue Ridge Pkwy and all the sites and sounds of the area. Thanks for a super visit! The Garbutts Waterloo Ontario 🇨🇦
