We stayed at this campground as a stop-over on a longer road trip, which just happened to fall on the 4th of July. The park was busy for the holiday, but had plenty of staff and was well organized. Facilities were clean, site layout was great, and everyone- staff and campers- was incredibly friendly. We would absolutely stay here again.

The neighboring site to ours they had 3 dogs which barked constantly at anything/anyone that went by even in the middle night & early morning. Also there was a stray cat at this campground that would constantly come around wanting food when we was trying to eat would jump up on picnic table and wouldn’t leave us alone very irritating so we could have a meal in peace. The pool was only good thing

Very nose campground and staff but not motorcycle friendly. Dropped our bike at the entrance to the campground and the campers just watched as we delt with the situation. There was a deap dip at an uphill turn that caused the accident.

When we arrived, the power was out. The power remained out for about half of our stay. We understand failures occur, but feel some sort of discount should have been offered. While the waiver of the generator policy benefited some, it inconvenienced others. To allow generators after 10 pm made going to bed with the windows open noisy and odiferous. The staff were lovely, we were not prepared the

We always use KOA's when we can. Fancy Gap has been a favorite. It is beautiful, whimsical, clean, and run very well. Angie and Dave are great hosts and the staff works hard to please. We recommend them without reservation.

Absolutely wonderful stay in a clean beautiful camping facility. They was plenty to do for everyone even the doggos and a very well stocked store, and the employees were top notch !!!!!!

Great, friendly campground!! And Dave’s Smokehouse brisket and pulled pork were excellent….. and still hot when delivered to our site! We will definitely make this a new regular stop for us!

What a great campground! Love all the things they offer to the guests. Can’t wait to come back. The staff is amazing and don’t get me started about the BBQ on site. They set the standard high for all the other KOA’s bc I have found another that has a good on site

WE HAVE STAYED FOR MANY YEARS AT FANCY GAP KOA WITH OUR FAMILY AND OUR DAD PASSED THIS YEAR AND WE DECIDED TO GO ANYWAY BECAUSE HE WOULD WANT US TO KEEP MAKING WONDERFUL MEMORIES AT FANCY GAP KOA. BTW, SUCH AN EXCELLENT STAFF, SO KIND!!

Excellent as always. Only thing was we left a note in our reservation that was missed but not the end of the world. Cabin was wonderful, staff is always great, the lady checking us in is always so friendly and personable. Grounds are well kept and ordered dogs from Dave's smokehouse that were good.

Weekend get away not far from home. We stayed on site#72 lot of shade and privacy. Everything was great. Water pressure wasnt the greatest but that was ok.

We had a great time! The camp ground is super clean and staff were always available and friendly. They even left a watermelon on our picnic table.

Great campground. Clean. Tiled Bathrooms fantasti with plenty hot water. Staff dedicated to making your stay top notch. Some prepared food items on site. Sites are mostly level with a few having slight sloping. Right off Blueridge Parkway. Numerous small restaurants and delies nearby. Our cabin was clean and comfy. Highly recommend.

Great central location for exploring this area of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Setup camp, visit the nearby shops and restaurants, then takeoff North or South on the nearby Blue Ridge.

We stayed in the lodge, it was well stocked with all the kitchen items you would need. Loved the porch had gates at each entrance to keep out fur babies contained. Grandkids loved the pool and playground. Very friendly staff and we loved Dave’s Smokehouse BBQ and brisket which was delivered right to us. Dave and Angie have created an amazing campground where we can make wonderful memories.

This is definitely the nicest KOA we have ever stayed at. The staff works hard to keep everything as perfect as it can be. The food delivered to the campsite was an added perk and it was delicious!

This is the very best KOA that we have stayed at. The Staff/Team are the best in taking care of the Guest. Dave and Angie are great and the food is outstanding. Will return again soon. The patio sites are roomy and always clean. Recommend to all Campers. Bath house always cleaned.

Love how they seem to think of everything. Dog fence rental, delivery to site for food orders and super nice people.

Update October 2026: We stayed at one of their deluxe cabins. It was quiet and scenic. Enjoyed the view of the pond. Cabin was very clean and was supplied or equipped with linens, towels, microwave, range top, full refrigerator/freezer, Keurig machine, hot shower/bath, silverware, coffee cups, drinking glasses, plates, pans, soap, shampoo. TV in bedroom and kitchen. Nice size bed, futon, bunk beds. kitchen table for 4, outside fire pit, nice deck with table and umbrella. Dog friendly but no fenced in area at this cabin. Owners were friendly and helpful. Very nice gift shop. Easy check-in and check-out. Reasonable and fair prices. Beautiful location. Cabin was very clean. Linens and towels were white and clean. Fenced yard perfect for our little dog. Nice wooden deck with table and chairs. Very nice outside sink, grill and fire pit and outside shower. Very quiet. Nice gift shop.

Outstanding KOA! The customer service was amazing. The park was decorated for Halloween which was beautiful! The owners definitely take pride of ownership. They also offer food delivered to your campsite!
