Fancy Gap KOA was recommended to us and we wholeheartedly forward that! From cheerful check-in to finding our beautiful site (51!) to ordering BBQ dinner and having it delivered it was a fantastic stay. Laundry and bathrooms super clean. It is hilly but we observed doable for all. Unique sites. Whimsical decor. Quiet and near Blue Ridge. A new favorite

Beautiful, clean, and well-maintained campground. Friendly staff, clean facilities, and working hookup. Would definitely stay here again.

The campground was excellent. Right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Staff were courteous and very helpful. Beautiful sites nestled in trees with plenty of space between sites. Easy access to highway. Hort drive to Mt. Airy, NC. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a pull thru site that was plenty long enough for our RV. There as an electrical problem for that site. The staff were very prompt and quickly fixed the issue. The stay was uneventful and quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Have stayed here many times and will again

Loved the area and the campground, staff and surroundings were wonderful! The tall trees, little statues scattered everywhere and the sites were spread out so you didn’t feel on top of each other.

Such a lovely campground! Very well maintained, clean and cute! From the office and clubhouse, to the pool and grounds, campsites and cabins, showers and laundry room, you can tell that the owners put a lot of care into this charming place. And just a couple of minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I definitely recommend staying here and will love to return! Thank you so much!

Nicest koa so far, well kept, owners very nice and work hard to keep the campground in top shape. Just spent the night, on site food was great and delivered to our door was great after a long day of travel.

Incredible customer service. It was pouring down rain when we arrived, they came out of the store (umbrella in hand) to provide us all our information, so we did not have to get out of our rig! Then (in the rain) they escorted us to our specific site to ensure we made it w/o any issues. Then! we ate the BBQ they make on site. It was so good! ...and reasonably priced as well. gr8 stay

Absolutely the best KOA we have stayed in over the past 3 years. Fantastic staff. The campground is spotless, restrooms were immaculate, and the vibe was relaxing and welcoming.

Got in after the office was closed, but everything was ready for us to head to the campsite. This was our second stay here. We hope to stay again in the future.

We had a great time at the park. The staff were fantastic and the park was clean, quite also. The days we were there was full of things to do and the entertainment was great. (Blue Grass Band) were fun to listen to. There was a lot to do in the surrounding communities. I would recommend this KOA anyone.

Absolutely top notch KOA. Probably the best one we have ever stayed at. Friendly and helpful staff. Great dog park and the sites were spacious and clean. Everything about this place deserves an A+ !!

Setting the bar very high for campgrounds. Beautiful scenery, attention to every detail, friendliest staff you could ever find. Mountain setting with trees and wildlife. A hawk was feeding her young in a nest while we were there! Best camp store ever - of course, the necessities, but a well stocked beautiful gift shop as well. Delicious fresh pizza & bbq, delivery too. Spotless showers.

Very nice. The owners were very helpful when we needed to air up the tires on our RV. I liked the food and they even delivered to our site. They had an ice cream golf cart driving around selling ice cream. We had a nice shaded pull through patio site.

Exceptional customer service. We arrived late, and even though staff weren't on-site, there was a clearly prepared instruction packet with my name on it waiting for us, which made check-in seamless. The campsite is very clean, including the bathrooms, and everything is well maintained. Our site had both electric hookups and a water spigot, which made the stay very convenient. There's also a stocked pond for bass and catfish, a swimming pool, and several activities to keep kids entertained. I've heard the BBQ here is good as well, though I didn't try it. We stayed for two nights over the Juneteenth weekend (2026) and had a great experience.

One of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at. Great layout, well maintained. Site was pretty level and good spacing. The store was amazing, they have great BBQ and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. There is a pool, playground and gem mining for the kids. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if ever in the area.
