This koa is one of my favorites! We loves everything about it. It is a beautiful camp, great amenities, pool, laundry, arcade machines, food on site, delivered to you!!!! Peaceful. Just cant get any better.

We had a very unlevel site. We had the ur reservations for months but had to make a change a couple of weeks before we arrived. Our site was terrible. Campground was clean with gravel sites.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Site 59 is perfect for a camper that does not want to unhook and will arrive when our office is open so we are able to take you to your site to help you park on the pad we have created. This site is also perfect for those traveling with a satellite and want clear sky, most of our sites are shaded.

Friendly staff, nice mountian campground. We hadn't been here in several years and there were several changes we seen, patios, new fire pits and kids playground had more things to play on. Nice pool and small fishing pond. We will be back.

Our first time there. Grounds are laid out beautifully. All the folks that work there are incredible, one of the many but most important reason we will be back. The store and barbecue were surprisingly wonderful. All was great during our visit no need to change a thing.

The absolute best, friendliest, and hardest-working campground staff I have ever met (after 18 years, 95 campgrounds, and 309 nights according to my camping log). Fancy Gap is one of the best in the KOA system!

Such a nice KOA to stop and stay for a night - we wish we would have stayed 2 nights to enjoy the surrounding area. The BBQ was delicious!!!

I found the Campground to be very well kept. The layout was good with no crowded sites. The staff was excellent. A very enjoyable stay. We will return.

I spent an overnight here along my Blue Ridge Parkway trek. Staff could not have been anymore accommodating! Was just the right level of rustic for me. Be sure to order dinner or lunch from Dave's. You won't be disappointed! Would have stayed longer if my trip allowed. Highly recommend!

Was a lot shorter than we had hoped due to some problems before leaving home. We were late arrivals and easily found our information for campsite . Unfortunately, we had to move on the next morning.

We love staying at this campground. it is close to the things and places we like to go and do. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Things work, WIFI works. Things are clean and nice.

This is hands down the nicest KOA in the country. Its a beautiful campground tucked on the side of a mountain. The sites are large and spacious and it is such a peaceful place and area. Close enough to the interstate but far from the maddening crowd. We will definitely be back. Loved it and the area.

Beautiful campground with very nice shaded level sights. The best part is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Lots of things for kids and families, the pool is nice the fishing pond is fun and if you don't want to cook they deliver barbecue or pizza and can charge to your sight. This is one of our favorite Campgrounds. P. S. It is really quiet at night and early mornings too.

We only stayed overnight passing through. We stayed in site #14. The site is uneven with the serwe connection uphill from the camper connection making it hard to drain the lines. Wifi was minimal. If passing through again we will bypass this place.

We are so surprised by your experience especially wifi. At any time you are here, please communicate with us how we can be helpful. Just maybe restarting your devises would have connected to our system. Our sewer is level to the ground, park on the pad that is created for you. Too- daa-loo

I love this campground. The staff and s so helpful and friendly. The sites are beautiful. I go a bit out of my way just to stay here! The barbecue is top notch. Highly recommend Fancy Gap KOA

Property is well kept, site was level gravel, host and staff are very accommodating. Bar B Q from Dave’s was very good. Bath facilities were very clean, water was hot and easy to access. Only 20 minutes to Mt. Airy. We would stay here again.

Exceptional customer service. We arrived late, and even though staff weren't on-site, there was a clearly prepared instruction packet with my name on it waiting for us, which made check-in seamless. The campsite is very clean, including the bathrooms, and everything is well maintained. Our site had both electric hookups and a water spigot, which made the stay very convenient. There's also a stocked pond for bass and catfish, a swimming pool, and several activities to keep kids entertained. I've heard the BBQ here is good as well, though I didn't try it. We stayed for two nights over the Juneteenth weekend (2026) and had a great experience.

One of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at. Great layout, well maintained. Site was pretty level and good spacing. The store was amazing, they have great BBQ and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. There is a pool, playground and gem mining for the kids. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if ever in the area.
