From 52 follow our signs, we are just 100 yards from Blue Ridge Parkway
From I-77 just 1 mile off Exit 8 go west approximately 100 yards (sign on left), turn left onto Pottery Drive. Go to the end of the road, turn left and go 0.9 mile, KOA will be on the right.
If you stop by the camp store at Fancy Gap KOA, take a moment to look up at the walls. You’ll discover something special we like to call “Dave and Angie’s Treasures.” These pieces aren’t just decorations—they’re memories and milestones from our lives that we love sharing with our camping family.
One of the most eye-catching pieces is an autographed guitar from Merle Haggard. Angie won this incredible item during her career with Cracker Barrel. For country music fans, it’s a piece of history and a reminder of the music that has shaped so many great moments in life.
Next, you’ll see a guitar signed by Garth Brooks. This one holds a very personal story. In 2017, Dave asked Angie to marry him at a Garth Brooks concert. The excitement of the music, the crowd, and that unforgettable moment made this guitar a treasured reminder of where their next chapter began.
And for racing fans, there’s another special piece on display—an autographed NASCAR helmet signed by Connor Zilisch and Dale Earnhardt Jr.. It’s a nod to the excitement and tradition of NASCAR, something many of our guests love just as much as we do.
These treasures add a little personality and history to our camp store, and we enjoy sharing the stories behind them with our guests. They remind us that campgrounds aren’t just places to stay—they’re places where memories are made and stories are told.
