Loved the campground, spaces were roomy and amenities were terrific! The campground was very clean and there were few mosquitos which is rare for Alaska. I was taken aback by the multiple requests for tips from one of the staff.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for staying with us and getting back to my inquiry for more details. It appears this was a misunderstand and "tips" may have been mentionnend in a different context. Our staff does not ask for tips - if they are given tips, they donate it to the carecamps organization. www.carecamps.org.

Very nice park. Space was not perfect as there was a tree right next to my trailer. Kept me from using the awning.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are happy you had an enjoyable stay. The tree at site 36 you stayed is on the passenger side and awnings and entrance door are usually on driver side. So I am not sure why you weren't able to use your awning. Please let us know of these issues during your stay so we can look into it. Thank you .

Clean, quite and friendly. Excellent bathroom facilities. Excellent experience.

Good facilities, great showers, nice laundry. Campsite we were in 74 has d a trench between sights near rear and should be filled in to level. High iron content in laundry stained whites yellow. It may help to have a sign saying that uses bleach results in stains due to iron content. ( instructions say no bleach but no explanation why.)

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for letting us know about the small dip in the gravel. Guest services / maintenance filled that spot and leveled it out again. Hopefully you can visit us again in the near future. Safe travels.

The Street is very noisy. The sides are very straight. The river and the zone around we liked. The staff very friendly and professional.

Sites are quite close together. Overall it was quiet. If you’re not toward the end sites, the showers and bathrooms are a bit of a walk. The registration hosts were very friendly and helpful. Some tow vehicles were parked encroaching the drive path/road.

Location and staff were excellent.

Loved the raised tent beds, clean restrooms & laundry. Easy access to all Fairbanks area activities.

Quiet and peaceful. Plenty of space between RVs. Very friendly staff. Laundry facilities were clean and well maintained. Really appreciate the rv cleaning station. I just wish I knew about the wash facility when I was checking in.

We had a great time. The KOA in Fairbanks provided us with a convenient base to come back to after sightseeing around Fairbanks all day. The free car/RV wash was greatly appreciated!! Staff was very professional and knowledgeable. Thanks for everything!

Staff were excellent and overall facilities are good. My dogs really liked camp K9. The only issue I had was I had paid for a spot with extra room but spot 109 has a telephone pole support wire in the ground next to the spot which prevented deployment of my awning. I recommend this spot not be considered “extra room”.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your feedback. There is a well marked wire from that pole, which may make it necessary to adjust placement of the RV to fully extend the awning. We marked it as extra space since there is a much larger grass area than most other sites. But will gladly reevaluate for 2024 season.

Friendly and welcoming staff, easy to maneuver to our site. Nice dog park and great place to relax along the river on a deck or swing. After the rough drive from Yukon Territory, we were glad to have a place where we could wash the road grime and mud off our unit and truck. Nice location for getting to Fairbanks or Chena Recreation area.

I stayed 3 days while having repairs done on my towed. It is conveniently located to all the points of interest in the area. The park is very clean and neat, with excellent staff.

We liked the BRF site we had. We very much appreciated how the package that was mailed to the campground made it to us. That is not always the case.

Great people working for you! I’d like to give credit to Jim, Claire, Cindi, and Don. They were so kind and personable. Jim came over and helped on his day off! Cindi rode her bike over to see how we settled in and turned out I had camped where she lives! Everyone was so kind and welcoming, it honestly was a breath of fresh air. We had driven from Soldotna all the way to your KOA

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

It was our pleasure to assist with your arrival. We hope you were able to relax by the river and take in the scenery after your long day on the road.

While the staff and grounds are 5 stars we were given site 24 to back our class a motor home into. It backs up directly facing the Badger Highway with no sound blocking of any kind. Impossible to sleep with the traffic noise. Worst camping value at 70 a night we have ever had. Bad experience,

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are very sorry your stay hasn't been as enjoyable as expected. If road noise is a major concern, we recommend to book one of our large 50 Amp pull through sites in the North section of the park - away from the road. These sites were only $ 67.50 after the 10% KOA rewards discount at that time.

Very nice. Sites are a bit tight but our 24 ft RV gave us no problems with space. The deck and swings by the river are a nice touch although the bugs were ferocious so didn’t linger as long as we might normally have.

Best park in all of Alaska by far!! And no mosquitoes so you could enjoy the outside lots to do in the park. Judy makes you feel so special when you check in and was just full of information she’s the best!!

We've always enjoyed our stays!

First off this KOA is nice and the staff friendly. Unfortunately it is located across from a quarry that is being used as a shooting range including automatic and semi automatic weapons followed by loud explosions. If you travel with a combat veteran or anxious dogs that would be triggered by this I don't recommend this campground. We will not be back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for staying with us. The "Last Frontier State" Alaska does allow homeowners for occasional, personal training to fire off firearms. This was only the 2nd time this season this occured and we informed all guests via text message. The explosions were reported to local law enforcement.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the campsite when we have driven up to Alaska. The staff was very helpful and it was a great place to stay.

Only stayed one night, but it was a clean park with plenty of showers and restrooms.
Jul 07, 2023
It was very pleasant. Only negative was the cottonwood tree droppings.
Jul 07, 2023
Able to accommodate us and travel buddies in our big rigs even adjust our dates rather last minute which was nice. Site escorts could use a bit more training on how to help guests get into their sites. Park was clean and workers were out daily mowing etc. Restrooms were clean as was the book exchange area. Didn’t use showers. Close neighbors but that’s expected in the area.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve our services.

Great friendly RV park. Easy parking with pull through and back in full hookups. Staff was great, sites were well maintained. We are local but we still like to get away for a few days. Stayed here many times and will continue to return for the occasional weekend.

Campground is good. It has cleans showers and a clean laundry room with plenty of washers and dryers. The only reason I did not give it a 5 for service, is that I thought the owner could have made a little more effort in accommodating us. We were staying 2 nights. We were traveling in 3 separate RVs, and thus made 3 different reservations. It was the start of the season so the campground was not sold out. It was going to be a whole ordeal for her to put us close together, so we were spread out throughout the camp, despite there being plenty of open sites throughout.
