Overall we were happy with our stay here. The sites were nice and there were wonderful private showers that were pretty clean depending on when you showed up. The dog park was small but nice. We would stay here again.

We stayed multiple days having to extend each day due to family issues. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodated our multiple extensions easily. The facilities were first rate and everything was in excellent shape. We had an excellent time at the “Northern most KOA in the US!”

The grounds are kept beautifully. The staff is beyond helpful, in fact. I could hardly step out of our coach to take a bag of trash to the dumpster without being asked if they could help by taking it for us. I loved our stay and even saw the Aurora Borealis on the one clear evening of our stay. That was a memory that Fairbanks Chena River KOA will always be a part of. Thank you

My boyfriend and I traveled from California to Alaska and back. Fairbanks/Chena River KOA was the best campground we stayed at for our whole trip. The campground is very well maintained, clean and well organized.

Great place, everything was spotless. The only negative was the contaminated water that clogged up two of my water filters. There was a problem with a bathroom, a text alert was sent out. We were not notified about the contaminated water.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Health Department inspects our water regularly and all test have been coming back perfectly fine. We are unaware of any water contamination. The issue with the bathroom was a broken water heater - so we had to close the showers. Was fixed same day and did not affect water in any way.

This is a great campground on the outskirts of Fairbanks. Beautifully kept grounds, spotless bathrooms and showers, well equipped laundry room. Excellent! Excellent!! Highly recommend. Great Wi-Fi too.

We have been travelling through Alaska for the past month and this was the cleanest campground by far. Site and all amenities were first class and the staff was extremely friendly.

I don't use the amenities, so the campground was more expensive than I needed. But it was a good quality RV big rig friendly campground near Fairbanks, and that's what I needed. I also really appreciate the flexibility of the staff to accommodate changes to my schedule!

Nice clean campground. Good laundry facilities and dog park. Good dove and grass at each site. . I didn’t give it a perfect score due to potholes in the roads. They did fill some during our stay but there were still plenty left.

This was our first KOA stay. We plan now to stay at more in the future! The gal on the phone and at the office were very helpful and friendly. Our dog Zeus enjoyed the dog park! I enjoyed the swings by the river. The KOA filled our needs. You were able to accommodate our big rig of 47 feet. We had full hook ups. The laundry area was big. This KOA was very easy to enter and exit.

Great friendly RV park. Easy parking with pull through and back in full hookups. Staff was great, sites were well maintained. We are local but we still like to get away for a few days. Stayed here many times and will continue to return for the occasional weekend.

Campground is good. It has cleans showers and a clean laundry room with plenty of washers and dryers. The only reason I did not give it a 5 for service, is that I thought the owner could have made a little more effort in accommodating us. We were staying 2 nights. We were traveling in 3 separate RVs, and thus made 3 different reservations. It was the start of the season so the campground was not sold out. It was going to be a whole ordeal for her to put us close together, so we were spread out throughout the camp, despite there being plenty of open sites throughout.
