Not much room between sites. The Dish and Direct TV don't work this far north. The campground charges a high rate but does not provide cable. The laundry is terribly overpriced. Cloths do not come out clean. Dog hairs on the dryer and the folding table.

Thank you for staying with us. Our RV site and laundry rates are very competitive for the area, and often more affordable when compared with other RV parks in Fairbanks. We encourage guests on a tight budget to compare prices when shopping for any service in Alaska.

Everything was super clean and staff was friendly. The only suggestion I’d have is to add a park bench by the playground for parents to sit on while the kids play.

The campground was well taken care of, clean, and inviting. The laundry facility was clean and easy to use. The staff was lovely and informative. The free vehicle/RV wash was a valuable benefit.

Accommodated us for early check in, everyone in office was very friendly. A few coffee mugs in the gift shop I hadn’t seen before. Loved sitting on the porch swings along the river. Fun dog park for puppies not used to being off leash. Beyond excellent laundry facilities. Many machines, all clean & maintained. Screen doors so we were able to sit outside & hear when machines were ready. ETC, ETC,

The sites are VERY close together. There is a small swath of grass about 6 feet wide, makes it nearly impossible to put chairs out. Several areas needed the grass mowed. Pam was great at check in. Other staff not very personable.

We appreciate your feedback. Our sites are all between 25ft and 28ft wide between pedestals. If you need additional space, we have premium sites with more space to spread out. If you are in a site for a longer period and prefer to have it mowed during your stay, let us know and will take care of it.

Sites are a little close. The water was brown and had air in it, not good

Thank you for staying with us for almost 2 weeks. We wish you had brought this to our attention during your stay. Our water is tested regularly in a lab, with no health issue. It however has high iron content and we have to inject air to oxidize it and filter it. Some air remains in the water.

We found everything well organized and clean. The office help was friendly and very helpful. We like the location, on the River and close to Fairbanks. However it would be nice to be able to access the River for kayak launch or swimming. We would gladly stay here again and would tell our friends and family to stay as well. Thank you.

Amenities were great and well worth the price What we don’t understand is why you would prohibit sleeping in the car. We set up our SUV for sleeping (like many people do these days) since it feels more secure to us and it protects better from the elements. This is the first campground that posed this restriction. Also for a tent site it was a bit crowded.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Like many other KOA's, we can't allow car camping and car is not an equipment option when you make your reservation. You will either need a tent, an RV or roof-top tent. Camping conversion vans are fine also. If you are not sure, please call ahead prior making your reservation.

How cool is it to say you stayed at North Pole Alaska. Sites are close but campground is quiet. Clean shower and restrooms. Great registration staff. Free rv wash station too.

We stayed 4 night and it rained part of the time but that was ok, we liked the spot we were at with the exception of the ground right outside our door being unlevel. The staff was great and very friendly, laundry room was really nice and clean. It was a nice place to stay and we would stay again next time.

This rv park was awesome. Great location, great views. All the services provided were really good. The restrooms and showers were clean. They have a reading from, recreation area and a barbecue place. Wifi service was good. Definitely recommend.

Nice campground, very clean. Sites are level, some shaded. Good amenities, fenced dog area, laundry, RV wash. The office staff was terrific. Our site had a huge dip where we stepped out the camper door, it never got taken care of in the 4-5 days we were there. A little disappointed in that.

Amazing lodge with a fantastic relaxed atmosphere. It's right by a lovely river which has benches and swings along the banks which is perfect for having a few drinks after a day of hiking. Most (if not all) spots had their own picnic bench which was great to eat at, and they had complimentary WiFi and showers/toilets (and the showers were very clean, hot, and had water pressure good enough to wash your hair properly). They even had some games available (horseshoes, giant jenga, hackey sack etc.) and some firepits we could use which was perfect. Definitely my favourite place I stayed in Alaska and would absolutely recommend others to stay here and enjoy a s'more by the firepit and beer by the riverbank. Exactly the dream scenario!
