Easy access from the main road. KOA is clean, great roads, friendly staff, clean facilities, well stocked store, great all you can eat pancakes ($), and great mountain views.

We called because our accommodations at another (not KOA) campground were not as promised. KOA Denver West had a spot for us and kept it available even though we lost communication with them. After traveling several extra miles thru rain and fog, we arrived and the staff was graciously helpful. Michael helped us get parked in the extreme fog. In the morning we awakened to a beautiful location.

We love the staff and the campground! The hospitality is unrivaled, the campground and facilities are so clean, they have a great gift shop and PIZZA!!

We like to stay here once a year for our annual "shakedown" trip. The purpose of our shakedown trip is to test everything out in our RV before the busy summer camping season. If something goes wrong, we are still close enough to town to make repairs. As always, Central City KOA comes through! Great facility, friendly staff, great location. Highly recommended!

Staff were friendly and accommodating, the campground is easy access from I70, we stayed for one night and would definitely stay again when back in the area.

We arrived late at night, without a reservation, the instructions for checkin were easy. Great and convenient place to stay. The staff was so welcoming to us and our toddler- they had so many toys and thing for him to do if we were there longer.

The campsite was wonderfully maintained and clean. The staff was super friendly and we felt like they were genuinely happy that we were there. We will absolutely be back to this KOA and will recommend it to our family and friends.

Would have been nicer if the weather was a bit warmer and not rainy...but it's tough when you plan so far ahead and don't know what the weather will turn out like. We will be back next summer more in June or July! We really like this campsite. One of our favorite KOA's. They have the best gift shop I have ever seen.

The employees are great, very attentive and helpful in every way. Grounds are kept very clean and everything is well maintained. The location could not have been any better.

First time in Central City and despite having the wild experience of snowstorms in May which limited our ability to use our patio area the KOA is fantastic. The store was awesome and had the most adorable gifts! The staff was super friendly and the location was awesome to be able to go to Central City and Black Hawk. We can’t wait to come back!!

It was a scary ride up to the top, but worth it. These were the nicest happiest employees I've ever come across. It was really a 5 star KOA. The chairs and tables (and I even had a swing) were really sooo nice. I never saw that at any other KOA.

Visited the Denver West/Central City KOA in May 2023, extended our stay by 2 days to continue area exploration. Facility is in good shape with may site options. Wife was pleased with the laundry facility and W&D takes coins. Better signage could guide those big-rig folks to the KOA desired exit route. Central City is a 10min drive and downtown Denver ~35min east. Great scenery, snow capped mts.

Our stay was average site fine with patio . But one of the most remote campgrounds we have ever stayed at very difficult with motorhome /towing vehicle going up and down extremely steep grades !

We like the campground. Sites are narrow with not much separation. We wish there was some green space to walk our dog, not just gravel. We were in site 24, seems like this area is more for long term stays. Give the nicer sites to the campers that are only therefor a few days.

Super friendly staff all around! From the check in to everyone that helped us get settled in our spot and a guy that offered to take our trash when we were leaving! High Five! Nice level concrete in space 69, big rig spot. Larger rocks, instead of gravel in between the spaces made it challenging to walk around while hooking and unhooking up. Altitude at 8900’ be aware!

Great place. Stayed many times in our 43 foot DP and now in our 24 foot class B+. Actually won a few bucks in town at the Casinos.

Loved our site with the view of the city. Just a bit difficult with the climb getting here. Would definitely stay again when traveling this way.

The staff members were amazing - every single one of them! The cabins are cute inside..everything is absolutely clean. The only issue we had was the wind, but that is outside of the staff's control😁

We stayed at the campground in July 2023 in a 32' Class C motorhome pulling a small car. We were in campsite #2, a pull-in campsite overlooking the Central City area. Campground, store, and laundry area were great. Only "issue" was the route to get onto Central City Parkway to head back to I-70 was a little confusing as cannot leave the campground the way you enter the campground (no fault of the KOA campground). The Hidee Gold Mine tour was close by and well worth the time (be prepared for a rough road to get to the parking area). Central City was not worth the time to visit - very little to see other than casinos.

Wonderful location, we loved that we were so close to walking trails. The campground was clean and the staff was very nice. We loved the store, it stayed open late and had almost everything that you may need.
