My wife and I were traveling eastbound through Colorado in an effort to avoid a spring storm that was forecasted to bring rain and snow. It was getting late in the afternoon and we needed a place to stay overnight. I checked an app on my phone and discovered Denver East/Strasburg KOA was 15 minutes away. I called, and within seconds had reserved a site. It’s a great, clean, place to stay!

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are clean and nice. There is a nice Thai restaurant on the property and the KOA also serves great pizza!

The staff was friendly and very helpful; site was perfect and the campground (and facilities) well mantained. What more can you want. We will stay again!

My stay of about 7 months was very good. The owner and entire staff was always very helpful. If I ever have to come back to the Denver area for work, I will definitely want to stay there again!

I loved all over the property, the sense that year after year, whatever the owners saw and determined would add value to their customers experience, they bought , built, or designed to add value to the overall stay. The bathrooms and our cabin were clean. I LOVED the cabin mattress on the double bed. The shelving and heating were perfectly arranged where they were most useful. Considerate hosts

We only stayed one night but we had a wonderful experience. The campground was perfectly level which made our set up very easy. We're traveling from Fl and had a tight schedule to meet. Staff was amazing.

Excellent facility, Very clean and the people there are extremely helpful. We checked in early and they were very accommodating. The site was excellent clean and in order. We will be back soon.

We arrived in the middle of an April snowstorm and asked for an upgrade from a campsite to a cabin. The office was able to accommodate us with a cute two bedroom cabin with a bathroom and hot shower. The campground had lots of fun summertime activities that looked like was fun and was well maintained. The laundry room was clean and the prices were not outrageous like some campgrounds we’ve staye

The workers were all nice and accommodating. We got escorted to our spot, they had everything we needed & the showers were real nice.

This campground looks like a gravel parking lot. Spot was not level. It was between the highway and a train. The train blew it horn at 6 am , woke us up, sounded like it was right next to us and shook our trailer. Very noisy.

We loved our stay here! The staff was so friendly and helpful!! And having the Asian restaurant on property and Rookies within walking distance was a bonus!!!

Park was nearly full even in the off-season. Site 97 was spacious, long, and level. Bathrooms and laundry were very clean. Two restaurants are just steps away, as well as on-site pizza and wings. There is some train and highway noise, but manageable with windows closed and sound machine. Staff were kind and helpful. I’d stay again and recommend it.

4/2026 - Staff is so kind and friendly, food prepared in the office if you didn’t want to cool or go out and very yummy! Clean bathrooms and laundry area. When we arrived they took us to our site and no wondering where to go. Love it!

Although there was no water, due to freezing temps, the bathrooms were toasty, super clean, and had water. The best part of our stay was the Asian restaurant at the corner of the property. The food was amazing, and such a treat while travelling.

Staff was friendly and helpful, however there were so many people who were living there because they were in the construction trade that I felt like I was in the 1930s Hoover Dam construction town. The grounds were nice but I felt overwhelmed but non-camping types, not families on vacation but in a work environment. I booked online but would not have come here if I had known that.

Office staff was terrific, helpful, & informative. Appreciate the recommend for the Asian restaurant (Yatai?) next door...delicious & outstanding! The campground itself is basic but it was a nice place to overnight.

Absolute amazing staff, clean everything! 10000000/10 will come back to stay as often they have openings. Been to multiple parks around Denver airport and this is the one I’ll always go back to first!

Stayed in cabin 8. Which was right by the interstate. Did not sleep all night. Felt like the interstate was running through the cabin. SUPER loud! And I didn't even get my koa discount. Which I pay annually for.

We stayed for a month while my husband worked nearby, clean park, kind staff and lots of space to go walking. Love the park for the dogs and kids.

We stayed in one of the cabin, which was perfect for our needs with a queen bed, fridge, and microwave. It also has a cute patio with fire pit and grill. We were especially impressed with the bathrooms, which were very nice and clean. Our dog enjoyed the dog park and the pizza was so good!

Very nice hosts and staff. Clean campground that is easy to get to. A bit far from anything and a lot of road noise just off the highway

My stay was awesome! Tracey and Randy are exceptional hosts, very friendly and helpful! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Heat was already on and the cabin was nice and warm! Beautiful campground. Very well maintained and clean. Incredible stay! I’ll definitely be back!

Very busy and active KOA. We had on of the special patio sites which was very nice. Semi-private and great for all our pups. Strasburg is a nice base-camp for the Denver area in general, though about 30 miles out.

Nice pull-through trailer spot. No table or shade but that is fine. Clean bathrooms and showers. Great and well-maintained dog park! Lots of fun areas for children to play. There is not a square foot of this KOA that is not thoughtfully landscaped with gravel, rock, wood chip. It is nice to see all the thoughtfulness that goes into the upkeep of a property. We needed to have a cabin for a family member joining and were told there was only one left. It was the higher-end of cabins and there were several simpler ones not rented. You may want to ask about that if you are a cabin person. There are also "old western wagons" for lodge and placed in a wagon circle. That would be a huge hit if you have small children.

We stayed here for one night while traveling west. It's right off the interstate. Nice playground. Spotless showers and bathrooms. Hole in the wall bar across the street if you want to grab a drink or food after a long day. The only bummer was that there was a big sign advertising free breakfast on the weekends but it never opened up. Would stay here again.

This KOA goes the extra mile to please customers! Their attention to detail is evident in the carefully landscaped are among the Conestoga wagons they rent, the cushioned armchairs under the covered outdoor area, the pancakes for sale on the weekend, the updated bathroom ..... This is a great place to just hang out!
