We had a great tent site at the Deadwood KOA. Loved taking the shuttle into town and back. It was not only fun, but so convenient! The staff was friendly, the burrows were cute, and the grounds were beautiful. There was no hot water in the showers closest to us but was available if we wanted to walk across camp.

Had a wonderful stay, nestled in the woods of a forest. Laundry facilities, pool and hot tub, a little store - but best of all, electricity and water at our tent site. Close to Deadwood and a perfect launch point for exploring the Black Hills region. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice campground.

Dana and Gary took excellent care of us as our plans and vehicles changed. They’ve been truly kind, hospitable, and friendly The camp is in great shape, and I like the small camp set in the trees I also liked the relatively short walk from my tent site to the bathroom, and water spigots close by

The camp ground is small but clean and updated. The tent sites are very small and you fell like you are on top of your neighbors. I arrived early to check in and was told to come back in a few hours. Driving across the country and then being told that was annoying plus I wasn’t offered any advice on where to go or what to do. I needed to alter my reservation and they wouldn’t do it for me.

Some intense thunderstorms rolled through, but the park people came by to make sure we were prepared and then checked on us again in the morning. The amenities were great and the trolley to town was super convenient.

Tented it for the weekend with 2 kids, host and workers were very friendly and welcoming everything was clean and tidy. Kids loved the goats and donkeys. Best campground weve ever stayed at. 10/10!

Campground conveniently located near deadwood with beautiful views, clean bathrooms/showers, a dog park for your dogs to run around and very nice owners. Great experience.

Other than the crazy amount of rain on my 2nd night at 2:30am, everything was great! Dana was incredibly helpful at check-in, providing a bunch of important details regarding the campground, the shuttle to Deadwood and setting me up with the best tent site...all with a wonderful, friendly demeanor. My brother had stayed here before and highly recommended it for my trip. 5 stars!

I just drove up and asked if they had room for a tent camper. Told Gary I'd stay in my truck in case of rain and asked if that was okay. He said sure. It was clean, friendly, safe and a beautiful place to spend the night. I plan to return the next time I visit. Thank you.

I absolutely love the KOA in Deadwood. We rented a deluxe cabin and it had everything we needed. The staff was amazing and so were the grounds keepers (2 donkeys, and a handful of goats)! My kids loved see the dogs, donkeys, and goats before heading to the heated pool for a swim. They have a great gift shop/general store. If you get a chance, talk to Bonita about the yellow building! We'll be back

Stayed 5 nights here on a motorcycle tent camping trip. The staff here could not be better! Owners and workers were very friendly and outgoing. The site had power and water that worked the first time, which was unusual this trip. Tent sites have nice rubber mulch pads that are comfortable. Rates are very reasonable for the start of the summer season here. Happy Campers!

We had a beautiful tent site that's an awesome view of the mountains in the Black Hills the owners Gary and Dana were very nice and very accommodating they had a miniature donkey named Pete and some goats they were very friendly and you could pet them can't wait to bring my grandkids out to see them we rode bicycles on the Mickelson Trail and caught lots of trout in Sheridan Lake we will absolutel

We had a blast! We drove straight through and ended up arriving a day early. Dana and Gary were so accommodating and helped us get into a temporary camping site for the night. The next day they helped us get into our reserve site. They are both just terrificand great to work with. The staff at the KOA was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. Our stay was amazing! Gary and Dana were beyond helpful and accommodating! They both bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. Their staff was top notch and helped meet all our needs. I highly recommend this campground and look forward to returning!

The Hosts Gary & Dana were helpful, friendly and were a delight to meet! The mini burro and goats were great neighbors! The site was awesome and location was shady. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and heaven to use after riding motorcycles every day!

This was our first time in Deadwood and this KOA was beautiful. Bathrooms were clean, the kids loved the pool and the snacks from the store. It was an amazing experience for our first time and we can't wait to come back!

I enjoyed camping here. This place has the best bathroom/shower. The bathrooms are separate rooms with a shower and a toilet. After weeks on the road that was awesome. Plus staff was very nice and place was clean.

Very friendly staff and warn us about upcoming weather. After storm they drove around to make sure everyone was ok. Offered to find us a cabin if tent didn’t make it. Thank you KOA staff!

Our tent site was lovely and the entire KOA was really charming. We found the staff to be friendly and especially helpful when asked about transportation to Deadwood. They have a friendly canine ambassador and even a petting zoo. The pool was open one day of our stay but not the other, things happen, this is no complaint. I will absolutely stay here again!

We’re really enjoyed our stay and felt a very warm welcome. The only downside was that each campsite was extremely close to each other. We would definitely stay again, but the price you pay for a tent spot so close to another tent spot or cabin doesn’t seem worth it. Very little privacy. The hot water heater was great! Stayed hot the entire time needed!

We were tent camping one night. Pete... makes this stay a 5 star. Trolley runs to and from KOA to Deadwood. Tent sites have a very nice pad. Electricity and water at site. No fire pit, does have a permanent grill at site. Standard mens/women bathrooms with very small shower stalls.

Great location in the Black Hills. Convenient location to Deadwood and area for sightseeing. The pool wasn't open yet. The restroom and shower area was always very clean. The host was friendly and helpful. My only concern is the RV sites are small and don't provide much privacy.

This KOA was a nice place to stay. It is on a hill with 4 'steps' carved into the hill to stay on. Larger campers should stick to the lower levels. We have a van camper and we had a spot at the top. The view was spectacular. The camp is quiet with hill top cabins, all with great views. The laundry room had newer equipment and each rest room had it's own shower. The pool was closed, maybe it opens in June, we were there in late May. The trolly into town is nice...we chose to hike. While the park does have a few rough spots, it was a beautiful and quiet place to camp.

Wow, this place is beautiful! Check out the adorable Conestoga Wagons and some of the remodeled rooms! Clean bathrooms and showers, nice playground, great trolley that brings you right into downtown Deadwood. Very peaceful!
