They have sweet goats and mini donkey you can pet. Spots are tight due to campground on steep hillside. Bathroom was very nicely decorated with stone tile. Two of the four dryers were out of service. They offer a nice convenience store with apparel, fresh made doughnuts and coffee bar.

Very nice & clean campground. The owners take pride in it and are always finding ways to improve it. The restrooms are top notch. Will be back to check out the new hot tub.

Very beautiful view, nice, clean campground with good chairs, picnic tables and propane fire place. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The goats and donkey was wonderful to come visit too!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The hosts were very kind and helpful! Our daughter loved feeding the animals and the scenery was great!

Wonderful campground! The hosts are so nice and they’ve thought of everything to make this a great place to stay. Shuttle into downtown makes it so convenient. If we’re out this way again we will definitely stay here again!

Maybe if we had a better site it would be better but next to the maintenance garage and garbage/brush piles isn’t lovely

This is a great KOA that I would highly recommend to everybody. Gary is an awesome host and has done a great job updating this campground. We will definitely be back.

Good view! Everything was clean. Close to many activities but remote enough to be peaceful. Staff was very helpful and welcoming! Loved it!

Great place to stay! We especially loved the deck outside with the fire pit where we could do smores with our kids. Hosts were great and friendly, super helpful. love this place!

Over priced and lots were way to small, our awning was almost touching the trailer next to us and on the other side I had to walk under the neighbors awning to get to my water hook up

Very beautiful surroundings, extremely friendly staff and close to historic downtown. Even though the trolley was not in service at the time, a $8 (for 2) cab ride got us into downtown very quickly. Highly recommend.

Loved it there, however the trolly didn't come to the KOA. Had to take a cab into Deadwood. That was the main reason for choosing the KOA.

One if the most outstanding KOA. The owners are amazing and always make sure you are taking care of. Location is absolutely wonderful and a super clean facility. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay.

Very nice campground! Dare say one of the best koa campgrounds we have stayed in! Place is clean , and cleaned daily. New owners have put a lot of money into this park. Our site had a concrete patio with chairs and a propane burner. The owners replaced the propane tank daily if requested! They have a really good wifi Worked without any interruptions Really good location for Deadwood and Lead!

It is a very nice campground. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Campsites are very close together and on a steep hillside. Store, restrooms, and laundry area were very clean.Campground was a good location to use as a base camp to see Mount Rushmore, The Badlands, Spearfish Canyon, Devils Tower, and of course Deadwood.We enjoyed are stay.

We were traveling in a 25' motor home. The sites were extremely small. The advertised shuttle bus was not working. The KOA manager said it was the city's responsibility but we had chose this campground because of the shuttle to town :( A hot tub was also advertised but not functioning. The manager said there was a crack in the tub...

This was absolutely wonderful. Gary and Dana, thank you for caring so much and showing kindness to each person that showed up. I was sad we didn’t get to say goodbye. Please tell Jazzy and Rip, the darling goats, and Pete we already miss them. You guys are wonderful and it is such a happy place to be. Thank you again and keep being amazing. The Novotny Family

Gary and Dana were wonderful hosts. We were late due to mechanical issues and Gary stayed to greet us. We stayed at the top loop in a truck/camper towing a Jeep and our site was perfect for us. The Deadwood KOA is both clean and very peaceful and quiet yet just a very short drive into Deadwood. The 3 shower/toilet combos created a line up in the top loop. A single toilet would help this.

The owners at KOA Campground were great.They were friendly,and always asked if we were having a good time during our stay.The campground is clean and well organized an the store had plenty of whatever you could need.The campground owners even shuttled us to town when the trolley never showed up.We will stay again.

We arrived without a reservation and we were able to get a spot. They have a variety of choices. Some spots with patios. Everything was well cared for and the owners are fun and friendly. It is located just outside of the town of Deadwood. They have a trolley stop at the property that makes it easy to get to/from this charming town. We will return for a longer stay.

A lovely mountain environment; however, although the sites were level, they are somewhat difficult to get to the restroom facilities (either very steep up or steep down) an additional facility would be nice-mid level.) It was disappointing to not have the hot tub available as advertised. Hope it is fixed soon!

Great facility, very close to town. Once we found out there was a shuttle to town and other services/amenities, we wished we had time for a longer stay. Thank you for keeping with the KOA level of service and facilities that we've come to expect and enjoy.

Secluded yet close to everything Deadwood has to offer. Cutest, cleanest, and most convenient bathroom/showers! Would definitely stay here again.

Great location in the Black Hills. Convenient location to Deadwood and area for sightseeing. The pool wasn't open yet. The restroom and shower area was always very clean. The host was friendly and helpful. My only concern is the RV sites are small and don't provide much privacy.

This KOA was a nice place to stay. It is on a hill with 4 'steps' carved into the hill to stay on. Larger campers should stick to the lower levels. We have a van camper and we had a spot at the top. The view was spectacular. The camp is quiet with hill top cabins, all with great views. The laundry room had newer equipment and each rest room had it's own shower. The pool was closed, maybe it opens in June, we were there in late May. The trolly into town is nice...we chose to hike. While the park does have a few rough spots, it was a beautiful and quiet place to camp.

Wow, this place is beautiful! Check out the adorable Conestoga Wagons and some of the remodeled rooms! Clean bathrooms and showers, nice playground, great trolley that brings you right into downtown Deadwood. Very peaceful!
