My 2 teenage nephews and I had such an amazing stay at the KOA Deadwood. We only stayed 2 nights but we wish we could have stayed longer! We stayed in one of the Conestoga wagons and it was a blast! The king sized bed was so comfortable and my nephews loved the bunk beds. There was a tv in there that we never used, though some families may. But it had air conditioning! That worked!

Excellent location, friendly staff, rustic amenities… we reserved a site with a hillside patio which had incredible views. Highly recommend

The KOA is somewhat rustic. The luxury cabins are over priced and definitely need some improvement.

The hosts were EXCELLENT. But everything was tight. I get it. They are carved out in a little valley. But there was hardly any room between campers. Packed like sardines and no grass. Just gravel. The K-9 fenced area had very tall grass in some places. Ticks live in tall grass and dogs are unaware. My dogs headed right for the tall grass which stressed me out. Wish there was more grass in KOA

I stayed in one of the nice cozy cabins. Originally, I only reserved one night, but after checking out and my travels the following day, I was able to make it back to the location for a 2nd night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this KOA!

Some intense thunderstorms rolled through, but the park people came by to make sure we were prepared and then checked on us again in the morning. The amenities were great and the trolley to town was super convenient.

Had to do some cleaning when we first arrived. Red dyed hair in the sink, dirt under the sink. Inclement weather would have made cooking hard as only had a gas grill outside, unless you used the micro wave to cook. Staff was very friendly and helpful at check-in and during the stay with questions I had.

Gary was wonderful. Always around to help. Tough KOA to get in and out of. We had a drive through spot, but had to really maneuver to get out of the spot. We were unable to just pull forward to get out. Nice KOA, watched a deer one evening on the side of the hill. I am not sure I would stay here again with the size rig I have, but smaller campers would be fine.

The staff here is some of the best ever Thank you for the very clean bathroom/showers. My only disappointment was the RV spots are very close making it uncomfortable for all who stay.

Tented it for the weekend with 2 kids, host and workers were very friendly and welcoming everything was clean and tidy. Kids loved the goats and donkeys. Best campground weve ever stayed at. 10/10!

The first cabin we were given the floors were filthy, it stunk of Lysol, and was right on top of a tent site. We were lucky that a nicer cabin was available but the water was hooked up to a hose so the pressure was terrible and the hot water kept shutting down after only a couple minutes. Either scalding hot or ice cubes, not warm. The hot tub was filthy. It sounded like a party, not peaceful.

We had been here before. New owners since we've been here. Whata great improvement. Very friendly hosts!! We stayed at a site with a deck. VERY nice feature. I know this is a smaller campground, but if the sites were little wider would be nice. We would come back for sure. They also have mini donkeys and goats. Also a plus that the shuttle to downtown Deadwood is there. Really convenient.

Enjoyed our stay. Clean, quiet, comfortable. A shuttle comes right to the campgrounds to take you into deadwood, and bring you back. We will definitely stay here again!

Other than the crazy amount of rain on my 2nd night at 2:30am, everything was great! Dana was incredibly helpful at check-in, providing a bunch of important details regarding the campground, the shuttle to Deadwood and setting me up with the best tent site...all with a wonderful, friendly demeanor. My brother had stayed here before and highly recommended it for my trip. 5 stars!

The place was great. The primitive cabins were great. Nice and quiet. The mattress could be better for a long stay. The one that would be nice is a dedicated restroom. Having to wait for the restroom while people are showering is a little inconvenient but other than that all was great!!!

We were very disappointed that the pool was closed at 8:30pm and sign posted time said 9pm!!!! The main reason we chose this camp was for pool! We had no idea who the camp host was!

We stayed in the luxury wagon and it was a lot of fun. It was extra nice having air conditioning in the wagon because it was rather hot during our stay.

The couple that runs the place were so sweet and accommodating. The campground is beautiful! The only complaints are one roll of toilet paper and one face towel for the luxury lodge is not enough when it sleeps six. The office hours are also slim. Office is closed from 10:30-3. Bathrooms are closed at checkout time (11-1) which is not good either when people want to go before hitting the road.

This was a fantastic location to stay at for several nights. The owners were very helpful, kind, and welcoming! The location in proximity to deadwood is very convenient. The bathrooms, pool, and hot tub were very well maintained and clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed here 11-16 July 2026 as a female solo tent camper. I was participating in my first ever 3 Wheel Rally and had driven my Spyder from Columbia, SC. When I checked in late afternoon the staff was friendly & kind. They could tell I had been driving awhile pointed out the bathroom. I was tent camping and while there I had visitors, the resident goats & burrow all friendly and curious. The pool and hot tub were wonderful during that heat wave. The bathrooms were clean as was the camp grounds. Im hoping to return to this KOA next year. It was just so peaceful.
