Tented it for the weekend with 2 kids, host and workers were very friendly and welcoming everything was clean and tidy. Kids loved the goats and donkeys. Best campground weve ever stayed at. 10/10!

The first cabin we were given the floors were filthy, it stunk of Lysol, and was right on top of a tent site. We were lucky that a nicer cabin was available but the water was hooked up to a hose so the pressure was terrible and the hot water kept shutting down after only a couple minutes. Either scalding hot or ice cubes, not warm. The hot tub was filthy. It sounded like a party, not peaceful.

Campground conveniently located near deadwood with beautiful views, clean bathrooms/showers, a dog park for your dogs to run around and very nice owners. Great experience.

We had been here before. New owners since we've been here. Whata great improvement. Very friendly hosts!! We stayed at a site with a deck. VERY nice feature. I know this is a smaller campground, but if the sites were little wider would be nice. We would come back for sure. They also have mini donkeys and goats. Also a plus that the shuttle to downtown Deadwood is there. Really convenient.

Enjoyed our stay. Clean, quiet, comfortable. A shuttle comes right to the campgrounds to take you into deadwood, and bring you back. We will definitely stay here again!

Other than the crazy amount of rain on my 2nd night at 2:30am, everything was great! Dana was incredibly helpful at check-in, providing a bunch of important details regarding the campground, the shuttle to Deadwood and setting me up with the best tent site...all with a wonderful, friendly demeanor. My brother had stayed here before and highly recommended it for my trip. 5 stars!

The place was great. The primitive cabins were great. Nice and quiet. The mattress could be better for a long stay. The one that would be nice is a dedicated restroom. Having to wait for the restroom while people are showering is a little inconvenient but other than that all was great!!!

We were very disappointed that the pool was closed at 8:30pm and sign posted time said 9pm!!!! The main reason we chose this camp was for pool! We had no idea who the camp host was!

We stayed in the luxury wagon and it was a lot of fun. It was extra nice having air conditioning in the wagon because it was rather hot during our stay.

The couple that runs the place were so sweet and accommodating. The campground is beautiful! The only complaints are one roll of toilet paper and one face towel for the luxury lodge is not enough when it sleeps six. The office hours are also slim. Office is closed from 10:30-3. Bathrooms are closed at checkout time (11-1) which is not good either when people want to go before hitting the road.

Erie and his wife were great host. The campground is very clean and well maintained. The store was also well stocked. Very close to downtown Deadwood and a shuttle if needed.

Absolutely the best KOA Ive stayed at.. I have traveled across the country two years now and stayed at multiple KOAs, the hosts are the most welcoming and genuine people you will come across. We did not want to leave...

Host was very nice and friendly. He came around several times to check on us and other campers to see if we needed anything. The whole campground had a friendly, family-like atmosphere. Beautiful scenery. We have a Class A 38’ ft with a tow and I’m not sure anything much bigger could fit up the tight turns. We would come back if in this area again.

I just drove up and asked if they had room for a tent camper. Told Gary I'd stay in my truck in case of rain and asked if that was okay. He said sure. It was clean, friendly, safe and a beautiful place to spend the night. I plan to return the next time I visit. Thank you.

The campground was quiet and friendly. The owners were always on site and doing things around the campground. The facilities were very clean, the pool was large enough for many groups, plenty of seating for the spectators. The goats and donkeys & 'mining' were a hit with the kids. We stayed in a cabin with a bathroom. It was great.

Deadwood/Black Hills KOA is my favorite campsite I've ever stayed in. Clean bathrooms, beautiful sites (we had a site with a patio), adorable goats and donkeys, a trolly stop right on property to take you to the town of Deadwood (which is super handy when you don't have a separate vehicle from your RV), and a friendly owner. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Although camp sites were small they were well maintained. Our site had a very nice deck over a steep hill at the rear of the site with a propane fire pit. Close proximity to Deadwood with a shuttle running once an hour. Great mountain location.

I absolutely love the KOA in Deadwood. We rented a deluxe cabin and it had everything we needed. The staff was amazing and so were the grounds keepers (2 donkeys, and a handful of goats)! My kids loved see the dogs, donkeys, and goats before heading to the heated pool for a swim. They have a great gift shop/general store. If you get a chance, talk to Bonita about the yellow building! We'll be back

Great location in the Black Hills. Convenient location to Deadwood and area for sightseeing. The pool wasn't open yet. The restroom and shower area was always very clean. The host was friendly and helpful. My only concern is the RV sites are small and don't provide much privacy.

This KOA was a nice place to stay. It is on a hill with 4 'steps' carved into the hill to stay on. Larger campers should stick to the lower levels. We have a van camper and we had a spot at the top. The view was spectacular. The camp is quiet with hill top cabins, all with great views. The laundry room had newer equipment and each rest room had it's own shower. The pool was closed, maybe it opens in June, we were there in late May. The trolly into town is nice...we chose to hike. While the park does have a few rough spots, it was a beautiful and quiet place to camp.

Wow, this place is beautiful! Check out the adorable Conestoga Wagons and some of the remodeled rooms! Clean bathrooms and showers, nice playground, great trolley that brings you right into downtown Deadwood. Very peaceful!
