I've stayed here at least 6 times, 2 with the current owners. Great hosts and even bummed me $2 for the shuttle when I was out of cash, thanks!

Convenient to Deadwood with trolleys and inexpensive taxis available to make it very convenient to visit the town. Bathrooms were clean and lovely with memorable details that added personality. All the amenities were there. Lots of trees. Only comment would be proximity to neighbors…tight quarters.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating! The campsite itself was beautiful and clean. This was our first visit to a KOA and it was such a wonderful experience that we can hardly wait for our next trip! There were so many fun things to do at the camp that my kids never even complained about being bored. It was wonderful. Thanks for the great time!!!

Ver pleasant location. The trolley to downtown is a big plus. Campsites are a gravel parking lot, very close together, much more so than I like, but level and we'll equipped. Office staff very congenial. I'd stay again, but it's not my favorite campground or KOA. Quiet and scenic, generally agreeable and no major complaints.

We arrived at 2:00 p.m. They refused to let us check in until 3:00 P.M. It wasn't the woman at the counter, but a grumpy guy sitting front of the check in counter. Told us to drive down the road, park in the hot sun, wait, then come back. Only KOA with late checkin. Sites are up on a steep hill, full SUN, bathrooms are either up a steep hill or down a steep hill. Shuttle was at the bottom of hill

Absolutely loved our stay! The owners are super sweet, kind, and so accommodating! It was super convenient that the trolley comes to pick up folks and takes you to deadwood. The showers are not only clean, but spacious and love the showerheads! The convenience store is great and appreciate it's there. Will definitely stay again!

Very nice stay. friendly staff. We had a deck site that was perfect with shade in the day and propane fire at night. Trolley to get downtown was great.

Very friendly. Nice staff. Great facilities. Only negative...needs a sign at top of rv sites that says tent only above. Accidentally went past my site up the hill and had extreme difficulty getting turned around and back my site. Highly highly recommend. Do not accidentally go further up the hill with a trailer. Very hard to get turned around.

I stayed in a cabin, which needs to be cleaning, there was some spiders in there. I spent time getting the webs out and all was good. A big plus the small laundromat is open 24 hours.

The Deadwood KOA is a great place. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the Luxury Cabin. It was really nice. Beds were comfortable, the cabin was very clean. It was nicer than I had expected. The location was great. Nice, family friendly. We would stay here again!!

The pool, hot tub and hosts were all awesome! The tent spot/parking was very small, we hardly had room to put up two chairs outside the tent, very misleading photos. If we had the chance to stay again, would definitely stay in the primitive, not sandwiched in where there was no room to sit and enjoy.

Our site was so tightly squeezed between two others that I our slide was too close to our neighbor, and that was after we moved as far over our patio as possible. So when our neighbors were outside smoking it drifted into our trailer and we were forced to close our windows. Not fun.

We can’t say enough good things about Gary & Dana’s Deadwood, KOA. We plan to return. Great location. It was easy to get around to all the things we wanted to see. The Lodge was clean, gorgeous and perfect for our family. The hot tub was awesome and excellent feature for relaxing after a long day fishing in Spearfish, Canyon. Location is great, the people running the camp were super nice. Big shout out to Gary, I wont get into details but he helped me in a big way. He also befriended my son who has the same name and made his stay more enjoyable. The donkey, Pete, and his goat friends were a nice touch. The pool and hot tub were open which was fun. The tent sites were a little small but served us well.

The hosts were fantastic! We loved the location and convenience of the trolley! Pete the donkey was a hit. Tent site was very small and we could hear people snoring in the tents of the adjacent sites. But all in all the location was great and the hospitality was outstanding!

We LOVE staying at the Deadwood KOA! Gary, Dana, and staff, always make sure their guests are well taken care of. They are easy to work with and are very personable. Rip and Jasmine are an added perk also ��.

Great location in the Black Hills. Convenient location to Deadwood and area for sightseeing. The pool wasn't open yet. The restroom and shower area was always very clean. The host was friendly and helpful. My only concern is the RV sites are small and don't provide much privacy.

This KOA was a nice place to stay. It is on a hill with 4 'steps' carved into the hill to stay on. Larger campers should stick to the lower levels. We have a van camper and we had a spot at the top. The view was spectacular. The camp is quiet with hill top cabins, all with great views. The laundry room had newer equipment and each rest room had it's own shower. The pool was closed, maybe it opens in June, we were there in late May. The trolly into town is nice...we chose to hike. While the park does have a few rough spots, it was a beautiful and quiet place to camp.

Wow, this place is beautiful! Check out the adorable Conestoga Wagons and some of the remodeled rooms! Clean bathrooms and showers, nice playground, great trolley that brings you right into downtown Deadwood. Very peaceful!
