Erie and his wife were great host. The campground is very clean and well maintained. The store was also well stocked. Very close to downtown Deadwood and a shuttle if needed.

Host was very nice and friendly. He came around several times to check on us and other campers to see if we needed anything. The whole campground had a friendly, family-like atmosphere. Beautiful scenery. We have a Class A 38’ ft with a tow and I’m not sure anything much bigger could fit up the tight turns. We would come back if in this area again.

I just drove up and asked if they had room for a tent camper. Told Gary I'd stay in my truck in case of rain and asked if that was okay. He said sure. It was clean, friendly, safe and a beautiful place to spend the night. I plan to return the next time I visit. Thank you.

The campground was quiet and friendly. The owners were always on site and doing things around the campground. The facilities were very clean, the pool was large enough for many groups, plenty of seating for the spectators. The goats and donkeys & 'mining' were a hit with the kids. We stayed in a cabin with a bathroom. It was great.

Deadwood/Black Hills KOA is my favorite campsite I've ever stayed in. Clean bathrooms, beautiful sites (we had a site with a patio), adorable goats and donkeys, a trolly stop right on property to take you to the town of Deadwood (which is super handy when you don't have a separate vehicle from your RV), and a friendly owner. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Although camp sites were small they were well maintained. Our site had a very nice deck over a steep hill at the rear of the site with a propane fire pit. Close proximity to Deadwood with a shuttle running once an hour. Great mountain location.

Just a night. Staff very helpful getting squared away. Trolley for downtown drives right into campground. Ultra clean restrooms. Outstanding oversll.

I absolutely love the KOA in Deadwood. We rented a deluxe cabin and it had everything we needed. The staff was amazing and so were the grounds keepers (2 donkeys, and a handful of goats)! My kids loved see the dogs, donkeys, and goats before heading to the heated pool for a swim. They have a great gift shop/general store. If you get a chance, talk to Bonita about the yellow building! We'll be back

Beautiful and when my tent failed when it rain i was able to upgrade to a cabin and the cabin was amazing and the site i was at was peaceful. Great get away...

Stayed 5 nights here on a motorcycle tent camping trip. The staff here could not be better! Owners and workers were very friendly and outgoing. The site had power and water that worked the first time, which was unusual this trip. Tent sites have nice rubber mulch pads that are comfortable. Rates are very reasonable for the start of the summer season here. Happy Campers!

Nice staff. Clean laundry and restrooms. Only drawback the sites are very tight. On the side of a mountain. Tricky getting in and out. But lovely views. Charlie and Petey ( the Donkeys) were cute!

It's a small but nice park with very friendly staff. They also work hard to keep it well maintained., and there are cute donkeys who wander about to eat the grass. This park is hilly but i thought the sites level. The trolly runs thru the park to take people to deadwood. Must see Mt moriah. Take the stage coach and the double decker tour bus. I would recommend this park.

Wonderful campground nestled in the beautiful Black Hills. Owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Close to the adorable town of Deadwood. Shuttle also frequents the campground. Will definitely stay here again!

Love this KOA! Wonderful facilities, smaller and quieter than other large KOAs in the black hills, beautiful multi-tiered location with Aspen trees and lots of shade.

Great stay! Very peaceful the dog run was a big plus. For a 42 ft trailer was pretty tight getting in too but manageable. Staff was great.

This was a fantastic location to stay at for several nights. The owners were very helpful, kind, and welcoming! The location in proximity to deadwood is very convenient. The bathrooms, pool, and hot tub were very well maintained and clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed here 11-16 July 2026 as a female solo tent camper. I was participating in my first ever 3 Wheel Rally and had driven my Spyder from Columbia, SC. When I checked in late afternoon the staff was friendly & kind. They could tell I had been driving awhile pointed out the bathroom. I was tent camping and while there I had visitors, the resident goats & burrow all friendly and curious. The pool and hot tub were wonderful during that heat wave. The bathrooms were clean as was the camp grounds. Im hoping to return to this KOA next year. It was just so peaceful.
