We were tent camping one night. Pete... makes this stay a 5 star. Trolley runs to and from KOA to Deadwood. Tent sites have a very nice pad. Electricity and water at site. No fire pit, does have a permanent grill at site. Standard mens/women bathrooms with very small shower stalls.

We rented one of the cabins and it was a great location. Super easy access to Deadwood -- in fact, there is a shuttle that picks up a the KOA and drops you in town, so no need to use a car and pay expensive parking fees.

Gary was very welcoming. Campground was very clean. Employee helped me find my site. Showers/bathrooms were very clean.

We have a 40 foot fifth wheel and the spaces were so tight. Our awning almost touched our neighbor. The Internet was spotty. There was a trolley that would transport you to and from downtown, which was a nice amenity. Petting zoo for the kids.

View is great, but sites are quite packed together. Staff was helpful. Nice pool area. Goats and donkey were cute, kids loved that! Trolley ride to Deadwood from the campsite was nice to have. Didn’t have to fight with parking downtown.

Had a spot (15) with the little deck behind us. Very shaded and a nice breeze helped during the hot spell.

My wife and i spent 3 nights and what a wonderful experience. The owners and staff went up and beyond when we had problems with our rv. It is really refreshing to know that customer service really does still exist in a time when it seems like we are loosing so much of it. A big thank you to the owners and staff at this wonderful KOA campground

Were there for 6 nights in a simple cabin. It served our basic sleeping needs since we were out seeing everything in the area. Dana, Gary and Pety make this place what it is. Clean and friendly.

We stayed in a one room cabin. It was built into the hill side and has a large wooden deck. We had a couple of thunderstorms which helped cool the cabin down for sleeping. The pool looked very inviting but we didn’t partake. The shower/washrooms were close to our cabin and very nice. Although brief we enjoyed our stay!

Tiny tent site on the edge of a hill, right up against the highway. The vehicle sounds all night long were pretty awful :(

I arrived early for my reservation, was unaware of the time change, towing a 33’ trailer. When I arrived at 100 the office was locked with a sign saying back at 3. I found a place to park in the campground which seemed to be out of the way, the place wasn’t busy. I was directed by the staff that I had to leave the property and park along the side of the road and wait 2 hours in the heat.

We had a tent site at the very top of the campground. I gave 4 stars due to we set up on a gravel spot which is not a problem except it was nearly impossible to get our tent stakes secured down. We bent almost all our stakes. The campground staff was friendly and helpful, the bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained and our child loved Pete and friends and feeding them. We will be back!

We stayed in the wagon(highly suggest). It was beautiful and cozy! While we were there there the pool and hot tub were down and the toilets and showers were weird. But the wagon was stunning!

This KOA is the greatest. The staff is very respectful and responsive to your needs. Gary is always checking to see if there is anything that is needed. The KOA is very clean an well maintained We also enjoyed Jasmine, Pete and all the goats. Thanks for a great and memorable experience. Highly recommend

The goats pooped in the pool, pool was closed. my kids thought I was lying to them. Gary was super helpful for all arriving guests.

Great experience! We reserved a cabin and a back in space and everything worked as expected. One suggestion would be to have a grill at the back in rv spot.

I have such fond memories of this place. My first visit was in 1997 with my newly wed bride. The location is exceptional with many local activities to embark on. The KOA is clean, quiet, and inviting. The owners are great, but I want a tour of the old folks’ home next time I’m there. Awesome place. Will return.

Great location in the Black Hills. Convenient location to Deadwood and area for sightseeing. The pool wasn't open yet. The restroom and shower area was always very clean. The host was friendly and helpful. My only concern is the RV sites are small and don't provide much privacy.

This KOA was a nice place to stay. It is on a hill with 4 'steps' carved into the hill to stay on. Larger campers should stick to the lower levels. We have a van camper and we had a spot at the top. The view was spectacular. The camp is quiet with hill top cabins, all with great views. The laundry room had newer equipment and each rest room had it's own shower. The pool was closed, maybe it opens in June, we were there in late May. The trolly into town is nice...we chose to hike. While the park does have a few rough spots, it was a beautiful and quiet place to camp.

Wow, this place is beautiful! Check out the adorable Conestoga Wagons and some of the remodeled rooms! Clean bathrooms and showers, nice playground, great trolley that brings you right into downtown Deadwood. Very peaceful!
